I used the aggressive approach u spoke about in one of ur other videos to lessen my debt, cut out all luxuries to pay off all my loans etc. Right now my credit score looks better than it EVER has and I've been pre approved for a home loan amount that's higher than I expected. This vid is so needed. As a new purchaser in the area (but a second-time homeowner) I noticed that getting the process initiated required me to provide multiple things which I did. When I began requesting things on behalf of my own due-diligence, the process and communication slowed down on behalf of the conveyancers and agents. Things such as having an inspection conducted, requesting code-of-conduct from the body corporate, asking for clarification of the 'owner's responsibility for defects (specifiy who you're speaking of because I am the owner following closing)and finally, requesting a copy of the draft closing document BEFORE providing the balance are just a few requests I feel are reasonable.
I have been looking at rental properties, I wanted to move in by the 1st July, I have saved up R230 000 for a house & R60 000 for an imaginary, wedding. You have convinced me not to rent anymore but rather look at how I could buy the property.
Unfortunately I haven't yet, I'm really afraid to commit to anything by myself, I'm pathetic. I have since moved my savings to a nedbank money trader at 7% interest rate, I think it's the best I could do for now.

@@LadyT06 that's true, I will just carry on saving & make an informed decision later. I thought my friends would laugh at me for saving for a wedding, but they were actually sad, wishing they had started saving instead of just thinking about it.
