Thankyou this was just what I was looking for. I now understand the loopers better, the illustrations in the manuals confused me but seeing the video with the excellent explanation have sorted things out for me.

I have just sent my overlocker in for a service because I just couldn't get the tension settings working well ....it would look right for a few seams then not right on the next one and even breaking the thread on the left needle ! All done on the same fabric ( stretch knit T shirting). Working on three threads using the right needle made the seam too narrow.
