Well I guess I'll need to cover Pizzeria Sim some time soon. Sorry guys, I didn't mean to blueball you there, I just thought Sister Location was a good point to cut it off. I have no idea when I'm gonna be able to get to it, but I'll be sure to try and have it by the end of the year.
hey uhh, while i haven't done it myself, when you do pizza sim could you also do sister location custom night? i've heard it's basically a whole new fnaf game and not just "icing on the cake," though i haven't played it myself.
I saw someone else asking for more so I would like to see a review on fnaf world at some point in the future most likely far in that possible future but still it would be kool
Heyo I don’t know if you knew but, FNAF 2 actually has almost 100% foolproof method of clearing the nights as the only camera you need to check is the Puppet’s camera to wind the music box. It sucks because the renders for the animatronics in the different rooms are really cool. I love the video btw
Ah I see. I guess I'd file that under the speedrun trick for FNaF 1 where I could have done it to get to the end, but it'd be robbing me of the experience so I wouldn't be able to write something meaningful about it for the video.
@@CharlatanWonder Thing about that method is, flashing the cameras DOES do something to the animatronics, but since you need to wind the music box and you can handle everyone else relatively easily, it's not 100% necessary.
@@perryborn2777 it's not even just foxy's camera, it was discovered a long whole ago that just opening the cameras pauses foxy's movement. it's freddy that requires you to check specific cameras to keep him in place.
It's hard to believe FNAF is 10 years old now. I still vividly remember lying awake the night after discovering it, unable to turn off my lights or close my eyes because I could physically FEEL Chica looming over me; no horror game has done that to me before or since. Aside from that waking nightmare, the series as a whole has done so much for me both socially and career-wise that I couldn't imagine my world without it living rent-free in my head every day.
It's really surreal how far FNAF has come and how long ago it really was when it first came out, I mean it came out of the Amnesia era and has been pretty dominant ever since.
Honestly, FNAF has always rattled me so deeply that I’ve never been able to bring myself to play ‘em. I already have a spooked-enough time playing horror games where you can actually move around or defend yourself. One thing I do appreciate about FNAF1 specifically, though? The atmosphere is absolutely unmatched. The security room is cramped and claustrophobic as hell, the pre-rendered graphical style has a very unnerving quality to it (similar to old Jumpstart games and the like), and the story is left so vague that it enhances the writing rather than detracts from it. Even to this very day, I still remember that one bit of “lore” that was just an unpleasantly-detailed description of how scuzzy and unsanitary the animatronics are… with the unpleasant, murder-y undertones left hanging over it like a shadow. Eegh. It’s impressive, really visceral stuff, and while I’m too chicken to play it myself, I’ll always have a distant respect for the first game. When the game is eerie enough to shake me up, even just with still images or UA-cam videos, I know it accomplished its goal.
I think what always allured me to FNAF after the initial charm of the first game was how batshit insane the story has become. Its the indie horror game equivalent of the saw franchise and I have loved every second of it. Its one of those types of series you dont stick around for because it is super good but instrad you stick around to see what crazy direction they decided to take the storyline.
the fnaf 2 section made me realize just how bad the game is at explaining some things. Like at 12:05. You are never in immediate danger from any animatronic being in the hallway besides Foxy. Mangle is not a threat here. But good luck figuring that out on your own.
This was a shorter video then I expected. Your new home looks nice! I hope moving in is nice and I hope you manage to make it a nice home for the 3 of you!
I would say FNAF 1 is probably my favorite of the series solely because of how simple it is. No over complicated gimmicks that bog down the gameplay. Just a simple premise with a simple execution. It works because limited/simplified options work well for horror.
I think the coolest thing about the first 4 FNAF games is you can see how Scott's thought process worked between each one. The success of the first is centered on turning the stress of managing a dwindling resource to survive into a horror experience, and each game that came after took didn't just add new stuff in, it took something away that made the player comfortable or even complacent. The first goes over well so he ups that stress management angle. The second game is the most obvious, doors make you feel safe, so doors had to go, and now you don't get any respite from whatever is popping out of the vent to your left, you need to deal with it immediately- if you're not thinking ahead you may be setting up a multi car collision of catastrophe later in the night by dropping everything to address whatever is most imminent. The third game took away reliability from the tools at your disposal and your ability to use them, and balanced that by mostly centering the experience around one decidedly less predictable and more intelligent adversary. Now the stress is abstracted away from your muscle memory a bit, you're managing more indirect issues to be able to address the core danger. The fourth game is one of my favorites because it took away something that a lot of players didn't even realize they'd been depending on- it forces you to be patient if you hear that audio queue because there's just no cut and run option to address the source of the danger. You can't put your brain on autopilot and close the door unless you're sure you hear something first, and you have to stick around long enough to make sure they're gone. This worked out even worse for the letsplayers, suddenly they couldn't drown out the tension for themselves by talking the whole time, instead they're stuck intermittently going silent to listen for the breathing at the door and taking in the atmosphere whether they really want to or not.
i appreciate the history lesson in horror videogames as opposed to giving me my 20th scott cawthon biography. not saying scott's story isn't interesting, but so many fnaf videos already did that

My god, I have been a fan for years. Seen ups and downs, and yet I cannot let this franchise go. This shit has had me hooked ever since my poor ass played fan games, GMod maps, and terrible mobile rip offs based around it while watching Markiplier and getting depressed over the lost souls of the kids trapped inside the suits. Here's to another 10 more years and a growing collection of my 100+ GB fangame collection (no, I wish I was joking.)
Same, everytime I think I'm out, this franchise pulls me back in. Thought I'd let it go after the release of the movie (which I expected to like but didn't end up liking) but stuck around til the anniversary. Then they had to go and unveil the DBD x FNAF collab, one of my most wanted collabs for like five years now. Guess I'm stuck with it again. Something about this franchise has some property none other does. Its got a homey, comfy feeling for some reason. Maybe because Scott and the community were so close (for better or worse). It feels less like that for me now, but I'm glad for the memories it gave me (I still remember the day Markiplier dropped his first FNAF 2 video, shit was crazy). i know its the high moon games wich are super good but if you see this comment, and you can find Transformers Devastation, I cannot recommend it enough, ive completed the campaign 10 times, once on every character, 4 of 5 dificulties, all colectibles, all challenge missions, and every achievement except for the one for SS ranking the entire campaign. I cannot recommend it enough.
Last year I was able to comb through every used game shop in the state and track down the whole War for Cybertron Trilogy AND Devastation. I think I'm gonna keep the next video as the Cybertron trilogy and then do devastation another time.
This is one of those UA-camrisms that drives me wild. 28:00 or so, you mean "relegated" not "regulated"
I'm not in to FNAF, but if buy 1 of every mascot if they made model kits.
transformers games?
TRANSFORMERS GAMES?!
_TRANSFORMERS GAMES?!_
THE WHOLE WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY AND MAYBE DEVATSTATION TOO AT A LATER DATE.
@@CharlatanWonder ah, I remember liking one of the war for Cybertron games on the Wii, can't remember which

Regarding the name change - Summerween is a good alternative, provided you're a fan of Gravity Falls

Wait.... So the person who is partially responsible for fnaf existence creation was Stephany? Sterling????
I knew about the review, I just never heard about who wrote it.
That wasn't a crossover I was ready for.
Dude didn't mention UCN or FFPS it's never been more over
I wish someday you'll tackle Fnaf 6 (Pizzeria simulator), I'm sure you'll find it quite interesting
27:26 hell yeah based Word Processor choice
What is it?
@@USSMariner Scrivener, it's what I use. Very niche and meant for longform writing projects specifically fiction.
9:52 except now the screen is a stretched out 4 by 3
Honestly, it's a surprise you like fnaf 2 and 3 cause most people to my memory don't like 2 and 3 all too much
KIRYU-CHANNNN!!!
He's everyone's mascot, Funtime Majima!
How about halloween in summer?
Hot damn this is a charming little channel. Are all the cat pics your own cat (or cats)?
The 4th installment will forever be a disappointment for me. Partially because it looked really cool but mostly because when I saw the first seconds of gameplay I thought you were going to wander around your house Myst-style and that would have been such a fresh and cool horror concept. I guess I will have to make something some day instead.
How about Summerween for the name next time?
What’s Peggy Hill?
❤
RE6 was based, won't hear otherwise.
Oooh, Transformers marathon?
