"Imperius, the archangel of Valor, is the greatest warrior in all of creation. He revels in war and combat and has led the hosts of Heaven to innumerable victories." Yet... we never actually see him win a fight...
And then some 40-50 years later Tyreal dies of old age as he is no longer immortal, and humanity no longer has that angelic connection and alliance. Wops.
Right? Couldn't Tyrael have reclaimed his immortality, and status among the Angels, and simply become an ambassador for humanity? Now he's just some nobody with no powers, that's going to die sooner or later. Then Imperius wins.
I love how they were able to make the cinematics look so much like they are from real life and yet in some of their other games they didn't do that at all yet somehow this one seems to be perfectly like realistic almost like it actually happened once.
It did happened in real life, his name is Lucifer Morningstar who fell from heaven whose dwelling in Pergamum/Pergamos it's where he'll be ruling over this entire Earth
D1 -You unexpectedly shove a huge ass stone into your head and wander around aimlessly D2 - The story is paced, beckoning, Marius was a pawn the entire time, most of the stones are destroyed, Baal is free building a huge ass army, Marius is given a merciful death for his servitude. D3- Michael Bay Transformers.
I have several questions: 1. Why didn't the rest of the Angiris Council come to aid Imperius against Diablo? What were they doing? 2. Since Diablo as the Prime Evil proved strong enough to overpower Imperius, why didn't he just destroy the Council members, or at least Auriel, whom he captured, to crush the angels forever?
He had to destroy the Crystal Arch. When an Angel dies, another one takes its place. This is why Malthael's dissapearance was so wierd. Everyone thought he was dead, but an angel of wisdom never appeared in the Crystal Arch. So, wasting time killing the angiris council would be ineffective if he did not destroy the arch fast enough. As for your first question, it was not their fate to fight Diablo, it was the nephalems. Intruding would probably result in a fuck up. So, they helped elsewere. One of the angels gave us the blessing to destroy the corruption, so they weren't entirely useless. The whole "Its your destiny" thing is just an easy excuse for blizz to have you solo Diablo. Personally, I would've loved to fight beside the angels and have mechanics where you gotta stand in their healing or keep aggro so they don't get killed or something.
+Qawssed Actually, the archangels don't naturally reform, while another angel appears to replace them, tyrael is the only example of the same angel being recreated. Yeah, the nephalem is basically stronger than either Archangels and Prime Evils because of their mixed ancestry, which is lame, but enh.
You gotta remember what Tyreal said in the beginning. He said, "You shouldnt fight, your wounds arent healed yet" or soemthing along those lines. so he was still recovering when diablo gained all that extra power.
Tal Rasha used his body to capture Baal in his soulstone similar to the way the wanderer was keeping Diablo's spirit within him. Tal Rasha suffered the same fate and became Baal in the same way The Wanderer became Diablo.
There's been a massive debate on what gender Diablo is. My opinion, he's technically genderless, but his figure is based on the gender of the last host he had. For the first two games the host was male, so it took a more robust form. This game Leah, a female, was the host, so the form took a more feminine, if still terrifying, form.
Well according to Biblical scriptures, archangels are genderless. Diablo, which is a reference to Lucifer (Satan) he was once an archangel. So going from this, he is infact genderless.
@@MADBADBRAD But the bible says the "sons of God" "came in unto the daughters of men" and had children by them, which were the Nephilim. That would imply that the angels were at least not genderless.
@@MADBADBRAD Satan and Diablo are totally not genderless plus Satan have already been known to be a Male also Satan himself isn't connected with Diablo since he's weaker than Archangel Michael can literally Kill Satan himself
Metzen, the guy who is responsible for Diablo lore says her spirit is still alive out somewhere. I guess there will be a big quest to bring her back to life in an expansion. She was too young to die. She needs to become the new Deckard Cain and grow old and wise like him.
Still can't get over Leah's death however. There were no closure like Deckard's. And makes me sad how she didn't get to settle down a peaceful life and open an Inn of her own.
Yeah, I watched the behind the scenes DVD in the Collector's Edition after I posted that, and Blizzard confirmed that it was because he possessed Leah.
The funny part is, I was linked here from 4Chan under the exact circumstances you're describing and I still managed to enjoy it. Guess I'm just a hopeless Blizz drone. I'll go back to being the 'CANCER KILLIN MUH VID-E-O GEMS' now.
I think it's also because it's a combination of all bodies of all Lesser and Prime evils. The spikes on the back are like Duriel's, the slightly feminine-looking body could come from Andariel, the 2 extra arms could be Mephisto's, and so on. Although, yeah, I guess the slightly female-looking body could be mostly because he reincarnated from Leah.
And remember, you only see 4 archangels, the fifth one, Malthael, is still around in Pandemonium due to Tyrael destroying the World Stone. There's also the issue with Imperius, since he was extremely pissed with the player, and especially Tyrael
Did Imperius know that Diablo became the Prime Evil? If he did, maybe he would have called the others.. Instead he tries to solo him and gets curbstomped
We can only hope that doesn't happen this game was an abomination and ruined all previous Diablo games. Lets just allow it to die and never speak of this again.
Because he is the combination of the 7 Lords of Hell, he has taken a similar form to Tathamet, which was a seven-headed dragon that was the original Prime Evil.
the glorification of humanity in this game is hard to understand. humanity is flawed. so weak to influence. his trust and hope would be misplaced in our current real world. but I suppose it is just a game.
Its something I dislike about Diablo 3 compared to the first Diablo. I think its why its less scary. The first game was you as an anonymous human, battling against the darkness that you really have no business confronting. There was nothing unique or special about your character inherently, yet they chose to fight anyway and confronted the Lord of Terror. The third game quickly establishes your nephalem specialness and overall has a less frightening ambience.
