- Here's a review of a great, affordable incubator which can hold up to 42 turkey eggs- the Hovabator 1588. We seriously have great luck with these. I'll discuss the pros and cons and a surprising benefit of using it.

I am still using my 1588 incubators that I bought in 2004 .
I have no idea how many chicken eggs , duck eggs , quail eggs , pheasant eggs ,chuckar eggs and emu eggs I have hatched with them .
Great info thanks 🙏🏼
I used the hole on the top (with the red plug) to add water with a syringe and tube
If it holds consistent temperature then that’s all you really need. The only thermometer I trust is one I’ve verified accuracy in one of my Brinsea incubators. You couldn’t give me a Little Giant styrofoam unit. An old 1602 Hova Bator will do but the wafer thermostat does let the temperature fluctuate about 1-1/2 degrees. The idea of using one for a hatcher is great. This will keep your main unit clean all season. I used my 1602 as a hatcher for my GQF cabinet for years I just covered the bottom with newspaper. As far as having to lift the lid to add water I do this even with my Brinseas. I never have got into an automated humidity system. Just a turner is your best place to spend extra $$. Can you remove the turner from these?
So if you had this incubator in your room would you he able to sleep with the noise ?
How is the incubator now. Still working fine?
Are u still using the incubator. Thinking of getting one.
Interesting
Get a piece of Plastic mess to put over that bottom rack.
