I have not used my AT Gold since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, so I cannot remember how and where to open the battery compartment. I forgot to remove the batteries when I stored it and 2 days ago, I remember to check the condition of the batteries, whether or not they are corroded. Luckily after almost 5 years, the batteries did not leak or corroded. The batteries had very little juice left and the detector did power on. Thanks for this video.
I was as well, I could not find this information anywhere so that is why I made the video. I’m glad it helped! Let me know if I can make any other videos to help out!
Thats why I made the video, I couldnt find that info anywhere and it took forever for me to figure out how to get the batteries out. I am really glad the video helped. Do you have any suggestions of videos you would like to see in the future?
Thank you for making this video. I will subscribe. And I would like to add this. Duracell baterries are bad about leaking acid. They may have more power, but they will leak.
@@nextinline6959 how to find gold with the AT pro 😂😂. All I found today was buttons and a spoon. Iron discrimination if you could describe that would be helpful👍
ua-cam.com/video/zWQaHHCVMEk/v-deo.html There is a rechargeable battery made for the Garrett at pro, at gold, etc. called RNB Battery pack Power Plus. I don't know a whole lot about it but I just looked up reviews on it and people seem to love it and it sounds like it is lasting them a long time and saving them money. I added a review that someone does on it so you could watch it. I just buy large packs of Duracell batteries because I need them for other equipment I also use and feel very satisfied with that brand. In the future, I may switch to the rechargable battery, however. What batteries are you using now?
Don't make the mistake I made. I left the batties installed for several months. When I went to use the machine, the batteries were dead. I opend the compartment to find liquid. At first, I wondered how liquid got past the seal but then realized it was battery acid that usually vaporates in the average appliance but was collected due to no way to escape. This acid ate both terminals from my battery cartridge. I had to buy a new one. This has taken several months. I'm now in the process of reinstallation and couldn't remember cartridge orientation, which is why I'm here. I took a picture with my cell phone, of the compartment, which offered little information. It's a bad picture but it looks like there's more than 2 terminals at the bottom. Wierd. It's almost like they designed ito to work with many different configurations. I just replaced the batteries and the unit works!
First i found out that someone cut the cord to from my head to the coil. Then when I went to change my batteries I found out that they had actually sprayed lysol into my battery compartment so I had to clean it all
I had an odd thing, I put brand new batteries in and it wouldnt turn on, then I put the old ones in and it turns on... okay maybe wegmans batteries arent the best..
Thank you. Great video was in need for this battery replacement instructions 🙏
