You did an AWESOME job explaining the whole safety plunger/rubbing thing. I just recently found you, have watched about a dozen videos so far... Very impressed man, soo smart!
Many years ago when i worked for Smith and Wesson, we would perform action jobs that included 24k Gold plating of the hammer and sear friction points only. The soft gold would wear down and fill in any low spots, smoothing the double action and improving the single action. Today we use the Glock factory applied Copper colored Bronze Oilite Anti-friction lubricant found on brand new Glock pistols. The copper colored lubricant fills in the low spots and protects the high spots from friction. virtually eliminating steel to steel friction points. And like the Gold Plating, the Glock factory applied Copper colored lubrication works even when dry. Keeping the parts clean from dirt and dust. I have found the Glock copper colored Bronze Oilite lubricant in online shopping sites like Mercari and others too.
21:10 I paid 150 for their trigger for my gen 3 19, and this is exactly what the connector did. I was concerned, so I called them to ask if I could send mine in to have it replaced as this was for a carry gun. He pulled rank on me how many trigger packs he assembles and said its not an issue at all since it would not fall out when the gun was assembled, and it was a waste of time/money for them to deal with my issue. I reiterated, cmon man, I paid like 150 for one of the more expensive triggers on the market, and the "fit" of a press fit part was so loose it literally fell out of the side of the housing ejector and I had tried 2 different brand new housings I had with the same result. He accused me of wanting a free minus connector with a very rude tone until I reminded him I offered to pay to send the damn thing to them on my dime. I asked again niceIy, saying I have purchased close to 400-500 bucks of their accessories for various glocks, magwells, triggers, mag releases but there is something wrong with this part I have in front of me. "and we appreciate that. but you aren't getting a free connector on us" Thank you so so much for what you are doing, and sharing your knowledge with us. I have had to send in my trigger shoe to them as well, because of a roll pin walking out under recoil. They replaced it, but it's still doing it. Do you have any advice short of sending it in again? Could it be the trigger shoe itself, or the roll pin again? Can I just put a tiny dab of blue loctite so it wicks into the roll pin, so I don't have to keep tapping it in after a long range trip?
Sorry it took me a minute to get back to you. Yeah that's pretty lousy customer service connectors are literally only a few dollars. As far as your roll pin I would put a light sand on it and then paint it with clear fingernail polish then push it in and let it dry
There are some really amazing companies out there that do stellar work. There are other that....well, not so much. I guess we aren't naming this one in particular but anyone familiar with the Gucci Glock market will immediately know who it is. I am not currently any sort of Glock armorer or anything, just an enthusiast and mechanical engineer who has taken on lots of gunsmithing projects to learn everything I can. You, Mr Johnny Glock, are the best educator on the topic by a mile. What really impresses me is the fact you can get in a poorly constructed ultra-high dollar paperweight and use a good bit of enginuity to (essentially) make their product look good. Not in an aesthetic way, but to make it appear as though it were actually worth the small fortune it cost despite being less effective than a high point in hell. I gathered my cursory understanding of the inner workings of Glocks after playing with a couple Gen3s years ago, but you've definitely helped refine my understanding further. I think the guys at A...... I mean "the unnamed company" would do well to watch a few of your videos before sending out a gun that is less functional than stock for the cost of a Buell Blast. Thank you.
J.G old video. However it assisted fixing my issues. I had a new aftermarket slide that the plunger hole was not drilled down deep enough. I was getting not going into battery until trigger released. Therefore I removed metal from the bottom ( not the fix I wanted however it worked) . Then bought a 21 that safety plunger was frozen . Had to tap it out with a punch. Great content.
I stay away from agency now . I have a trigger from them than won't reset in multiple guns. And if pulled back hard it causes the slide to stay slightly out of battery. Also it did not function at all with the supplied connector.
He knows his shit for sure, I won’t let anyone touch my glock for mods but Johnny, he did my trigger and it is flawless, I cannot tell you how awesome his work is!
Wow! Agency Arms should be paying you for your time to fix their issues on their sub par work. For that amount of money, I would send it back to them to fix it.
Rotty37 bro we went to agency like 2 years ago with big expectations .. and we left there laffing our asses off ... my buddy spent about 1500$ on slide work and they fucked up his slide .. and they wouldent replace it .. they made him buy a new slide and have the work re done.. + there work is nothing special at all they dont know alot .. or they are just in it for the money nothing else .. id never take a gun to them! I'll never understand people that buy a $500-600 Glock and then spend thousands to make an ultra reliable carry gun "somewhat" better. Be kind of funny if this person used their $2500 Glock in a defensive shooting and have it confiscated for evidence, and possibly never get it returned. My comments based upon the owner using this gun for EDC or home defense.
Wow😳 that Shop X FUBAR'd that pistol. Thank you Johnny for explaining how a Glock works in concise sober detail. Absolutely the best Glock video , in addition to all your other presentations. Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍💥☮️🇺🇲
Wow supposedly a big Glock mod company name Agency arms applied used worn parts from a bin to shortcut this build. No quality control there and shipped a pos and possibly dangerous action to a customer who got ripped off. 😮 I would be contacting an attorney if they refused a full refund and replacement for a brand new Glock. I don’t think ZEV would have done that. It’s like trying to convert a Honda civic into a Lambo using Hyndai parts. LMAO 😂
Very interesting, informative and well presented. Thank you. I just am not sure why some folks decide to spend that kind of money enhancing a Glock. Good for your business I reckon.
That plunger where it has copper showing looks like it was pre sanded then polished. They were probably thinking it would lighten up the trigger weight. It probably caused it to wobble a little.
I have a new Glock, no Modification and the Top of my plunger is chewed up after 500-600 rounds... but I have no clue why, as I stated no Modifications....
The explanation was as good as it could be. Hard to visually demonstrate what’s going on with small pieces but those that know enough could get what you’re saying...my two cents.
I have a Zev Fulcrum trigger. The firing pin safety ramp has been heavily scalloped, just like that one. The safety lever is broken so I'm not going to be using that one again anyway.
That bar looks like it came out of a polymer80 due to the scuff marks on the outside of the bird's beak. It looks like it was rubbing the p80 metal rear rail module.
The Polymer 80 of camera mounts!!! That is golden!!!! I am totally using that phrase for things from here on out!!! Had to stop and and comment on that alone.....
The safety plunger information alone was worth the watch. The trigger bar side of things is excellent for people to see....that amount of material removed is beyond excessive.
Johnny I just wanted to let you know you the shit! I ran into a lot of battery issues with pf9ss and all your tips made this baby work like oem Glock. I genuinely appreciate you for taking the time to help us, have a nice one sir🫡
Some of Johnny's comments are correct while some are not as precise as far as what is allowed. Understandable as each and every one who "specializes" in Glocks tends to question other customizers to be able their products and services.
I'd be interested in seeing what you think about my glock 19x custom I put together and tuned, it'd be interesting to see you make a video on the good and bad
Why would you change anything. Its like buying a car then taking the motor out and machining all the internals. Makes the firearm completely unreliable.
@@johnd4348 Not really. The guys at Glock know what they're doing, but the realities of manufacturing are that they're not going to hand finish or fit parts. It took another $1000 and year to get the gun to function. He doesn't shoot it much--just shows it off mostly. Gadget guns are generally not reliable.
I knew it was Agency before I even saw it. They have been ripping off Glock owners for YEARS, and people still keep paying for that shit. Send it to Jagerwerks for the look you want and a perfect optics cut, and Johnny for the trigger, and you have about $1300 left for ammo and training, and the damn thing works

Somebody put their worn out parts in his gun & put The New parts in their old gun. He'll never know unless he sends it to that Johnny Glock. Busted . Get em Johnny. That slide is unmistakable a signature slide for sure.
Hey Johnny you mention there may not be enough material left on the trigger bar to push up on the plunger enough to clear the striker properly if so couldn't that have caused that damage to the safety plunger after 750rds even if the plunger was new
So I'm going to order a trigger of yours for my new gen 5 g17. So my question is . Would it be better to send the gun to you . To get the fit and finnish. Now I heard that it's better to run green cups on one side period is that true or not? Can you email me how did this gun
1911 has been left in the dust for a reason. Newer better designs have come. I'd rather have Beretta 92 over 1911. They are just relics at this point like a dinosaur fossil.
@@LordHelpUs7-7-7 That’s why thousands are still being made all around the world. A 1911 does require a professional to use it, M9s, Glocks etc you can teach anybody to use them.
The thumbs down are from those who have had work done by them, know that they got screwed, but too proud & ashamed to admit it & will defend them so they don't look stupid for paying for junk.
My gen 5 g19 glock is all stock except for sights I have a little over 5000 rounds through it since I got it in 2019. I noticed my trigger bar started getting caught on my safety plunger only after I try to eject a live round after and only after I remove the magazine, if I look through the magwell with a flashlight my safety plunger looks like it's popping out to far and also rotating a bit with the trigger bar pushed up against the plunger side closest to the breach face. I've kept shooting it without any reliability problems but am wondering your opinion on this, wish I could send you a video because it's hard to explain without showing what I'm talking about. Edit: I've also tried to duplicate the problem with A-zoom snap caps but can't get the same thing to happen unless I use live rounds with different mags from oem, kci, magpul and awb. I tried different ammo like hst 124 and 147 gr. and gold dot 124 gr. What's weird is it only happens with a live cartridge in the chamber and when the magazine is removed.
Bro if I hadn't stumbled upon your video, I could have had a serious problem. My plunger was beat all to hell. That spot where the coating was coming off, on mine, it was deformed around the edges, material was sheered off.. I got a kit from Glockstore with a rounded plunger like in this video. It was TiN though. My trigger bar looks fine, but I'm wondering if it could also be because I think I put in a heavier striker spring in it?
Total ripoff from Agency Arms. For $3100, could have bought a Stacatto. They probably took someone else's safety plunger, modified it and sold it to this customer. Another company I heard of doesn't actually give you your original parts back after upgrades. They collect your parts to be modified and keep them on hand for future orders. You end up with pre-modded parts from someone else's gun in order for them to meet their turn around times. Agency just uses a Gen 3 bar with their own shoe and calls it their custom kit.
Hey Johnny what is your experience with dry fire practice and cracked breech faces in Glocks? It happened to my 4 year old factory stock G26, a perfect sharp round crack and the breech face being pushed outward by the striker. To the best of my knowledge, it was due to dry fire, and it is currently being serviced under warranty. However I would like to avoid this happening to me again. Is this a bad luck fluke or is this really a known issue with the Glock system and should I take special measures to avoid it?
I don't think I ever did dry fire 100 times in a day. Will snap caps prevent the striker from contacting the rear of the breechface? Which brand do you recommend?
from what ive seen, its not unusual to have wear on the safety plunger from the striker, i can see that this build looks like they have taken the new parts and have substituted used parts. that being said, how do you prevent the striker from hitting the safety plunger and could that impact impede the ignition of the cartridge. would a lighter plunger spring help?
Anyone have problems with Lone wolf triggers? Just finished a polymer 80 g19 and everything went by smooth but the trigger ended up not resetting after awhile of checking for battery. My slide went into battery fine but the trigger kept not resetting. I filed down rails, made sure the barrel was sanded down good and slide spring was seated low enough and when I put it back together it only worked for a little while. The trigger bar was scrapping on the slide and the safety plunger. I’m at a loss on what to do. I ordered a factory Glock trigger and housing to see if I keep having the problem. Waiting on it now. Any ideas on what I should do?
Another example at so why you should keep your Glock STOCK, kiddos. Maybe Johnny Glock's polished parts, but that's it since he does use OEM parts. We're not freakin' John Wick. Hell, nobody is...
Your theory about the safety plunger I believe maybe incorrect. I didnt see any scaring on the striker from making contact with the plunger. What I do believe may have happened is that he got 1. Used safety plunger. 2. The tolerances on after market slides are tighter could have been rubbing the slide as it spins. I'm not trying to be disrespectful nor am I speaking up for the over price junk from so called aftermarket glock. I have built a custom 17. Tolerances are so much different on aftermarket parts. Eventually if you use all aftermarket parts you get tolerances stacking. 1 simple thing can throw the whole timing of the gun off. The finish that glock uses on the slides are designed to be slick to help parts move freely. When aftermarket companies start machining their slides that may be out of a .005 spec than add a non slick coating to slide your gonna get that issue. If the trigger is depressed you should be able to hear a rattle if you shake it. When you hear that rattle that means the trigger bar is hitting the plunger enough for the striker to have a clear path. The rattle sound is the striker moving past it. I agree that so called company ground way to much off the plunger. Zev does that as well. I usually keep my stock plungers and just polish the entire plunger.
I appreciate your post 👍good stuff I have to certify plenty of departmental and agency guns and I can tell you the 100% OEM factory stock Parts have the exact same issues. This is why Glock changed the firing pin safety for the Slimlines and Gen 5s. Also it has been my experience and actually physically verified that the majority of aftermarket parts have looser tolerances than stock glocks. A lot of these issues are from wobble and not from drag. Some are tighter but it really is a mixed bag. Anyway I appreciate your post.
@@johnnyglocks your right with zev I find them to run on the tighter side. I almost everytime have to modify the rails to be tad thinner because of drag. I also had one slide where no safety plunger would fall out you had to work it out a little. I want to buy one of your competition trigger kits for my 17 gen 3. I'm scared of complications from strike Industries ark slide. I put a zev connector and trigger bar in. The gun didnt like that at all mainly because of the connector dragging on the slide to much. I could of bent it but I didnt want issues. So stock my gun sits. What can I do to get lighter trigger a better trigger shorter reset clean break. I have these parts available LWD CONNECTOR, 3 LB STRIKER SRING. should I stay stock and smooth all my trigger bar and re angle my connector. Also with the striker should I sand the lug face flat. And angle the crucifix to where it sits flat on the lug. Thanks
I can’t believe that cost an extra 2 grand. Like what. I love my custom Glocks but this was years ago when things were a lot cheaper 😂that’s insane 3100 for a broken Glock

So I'm going to order a trigger of yours for my new gen 5 g17. So my question is . Would it be better to send the gun to you . To get the fit and finnish. Now I heard that it's better to run green cups on one side period is that true or not? Can you email me how did this gun
Just think for three grand, he could have bought a great 1911.
I will comment in Part 2. Unbelievable! This is a job for Super Johnny. :-)
The thumbs down are from those who have had work done by them, know that they got screwed, but too proud & ashamed to admit it & will defend them so they don't look stupid for paying for junk.
I can't believe anyone would thumbs down this. It's educationally awesome.
Good video brotha
Waiting to see BUSTED pt 2. Thank you for BUSTED pt 1.
First!! Glad to see more content
WOW I gotta say,he was a fool spending that kinda money on ANY GLOCK in any situation..
My g19 gen 5 has a click from this exact same thing. Did you ever find out the problem? I haven’t even tried yet if it does it with the magazine in.
Well I'm glad you caught it and it's not because it's a heavier spring it's just because you're dealing with marginal parts
Whoever worked on that, jacked it up big time. Or replaced the internals with old parts
Get snap caps or stop dry firing 100 times a day
I don't think I ever did dry fire 100 times in a day.
There's really no way to prevent
Great web content. Getty another person to operate video and lighting.
What glock costs that much?
Get the OEM PARTS and get back to me.
I'm not surprised to see a agancy build sitting there I had to re shape there 43x trigger so it fit well .
I KNOW I was subscribed a couple of months ago.
Worn out parts on a new gun? Some one has been cannibalizing yours for theirs.
That’s a great way to improve profit margins. Pay two grand and get your gun upgraded with used parts........lol that sucks!
Thanks
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Who the fuck spends 3k on a Glock 😂😂😂 at that point you deserve every bit of this
Johnny is the fucking man
Anybody who would spend that much money on a Glock is nuts
I would think agency would fix this problem.
Johnny "The Doc" Glocks diagnosis doing an autopsy on a F'd up gun. Priceless. Do you concur?
I concur
Indeed I do!
I can’t believe that cost an extra 2 grand. Like what. I love my custom Glocks but this was years ago when things were a lot cheaper 😂that’s insane 3100 for a broken Glock
Wow, the un named Agency that ruined the pistol for a price has definetly lost it's reputation. Meanwhile I again learned a bunch of stuff about the safety plunger and striker chemistry in the platform. Glad to know I think I can do better than they did. Did you get a chance to try the Nu Shine II Polish?
This is why I just go to the best for my triggers
Agency Arms is all hype. Garbage skills
@ItalianBrownsFAN For how much they charge they should be perfect.
