Many months later and this video continues to grow. Honestly, this could've just been the Secret to Improving your Mental. I'm sure this video has helped not just me but so many others in their daily life. Just today I recalled this video while playing an important Badminton match against someone I had never beaten before. For the very first time I won, and I think what helped was me not going into the game with expectations or disappointments, but to just go out there and give it your best shot. In Brawlhalla this has helped me so much as well, I've been enjoying the game more than I have been ever, both ranked, experimental and customs. Thank you Eggsoup, now it's time for you to hit 200000 Subs!
I'll be honest, I've had this video sitting in my pile of "Watch Later", half watched cuz I didn't think any of this would help me, but I forced myself to watch the whole thing. Loved it, you're super inspirational.
it's crazy how much time you put into making this video to make it high quality and then you're letting people have it for free. most wont appreciate that, but some will ;)
I mean yeah but uh this is UA-cam... and I doubt anyone would buy a book of “hOw To RaNkUp In BrAwLhAlLa”... and he’s making revenue... I mean ok I guess
being fair, the voice and emotional support actually helps me feel better knowing that it's ok to be bad. not only though it's talking about how to not get ranked anxiety, but also how to grow in other places like for instance my music.
Sometimes when I play games, I get so angry and carry it over into the next game(s) and eventually I just feel absolutely horrible. This video helped me take a step back and realize that I'm just doing this to myself and now that you taught me this I feel a lot better when I lose games. Seriously thank you so much for this video. I don't even play brawlhalla and I watch a lot of your videos, I just mostly like the way you think and the way you talk while you play; and this video added to all that. You are genuinely an amazing person, keep doing what you're doing. Idek if you'll see this lol
The fact is, this guide doesn't just apply to Brawlhalla. This is a guide about maintaining a healthy mindset through managing expectations, acknowledging self-worth and potential, and explaining how to build a good foundation for personal growth. You can see all the passion, time, and care that went into this. Thanks egg, you rule B)
Honestly I can't tell you how much I needed to hear all of this. I have had a really rough couple of years between school, family life, and health issues and I just picked up Brawlhalla like 3 days ago for an outlet. I watched this hoping to get better because admittedly I'm very bad right now, but the things you said here are things that are not only going to help me in Brawlhalla but most likely the rest of my life. You made a positive difference in so many lives with this video alone. Thanks man
These are all things I already knew on the inside, but never really thought about or talked to other people about. You are honestly very intelligent and have an amazing mind set, not just on brawlhalla, but in life. Easily the best video I've watched to help improve.
I have been using the “I’m not good at -- yet” for a while now, and it’s drastically improved my mindset on developing skills, even aside from this game. I completely forgot that it came from a brawlhalla tutorial haha. Thank you egg
It surprises me nicely how universal these advices are. I am a musician learning improvisation for a few years, and the idea of watching own Brawlhalla replays reminds me my teacher's suggestion to record and listen myself playing solos, so I can identify stuff to work on (didn't dare to do it yet, but I know I should). He too said that when training, you should focus on only one thing (be it a chord progression, a scale, placing a pattern, or simply the sound...), work on it, and ignore the rest in the process, no matter how unpleasant the result is. Other things echoed in me, like not listening your ego when it prevents you from appropriating techniques of better players (of better musicians), and make it your own (You can't figure everything by yourself and have to be humble about it). Or like handling, in performances, the stress, the unpredictible, and the anxiety of not being good compared to the others you are playing with. I liked this video a lot, wasn't expecting to hear great advices to improve in many activities, rather than a Brawlhalla-specific training guide. I think the video is inspiring even outside of this game, and outside of the world of competitive games :) (I'm french, sorry if I speak strangely sometimes)

I love what you said near the beginning about getting my ego in check and doing little things to improve. I've always gotten mad at the fact that I think I should be better than others because they play a certain type of way, but that's not it at all, they just plain bested me. I've been working on unarmed a lot since I watched this video, and I'll just say it makes a world of difference already
The talk about focusing on the effort not the outcome/ focusing on what you can control and letting go of the rest is just straight up golden life advice. So many people who are at the top of their field talk about it, sports, video games, CEOs of big company’s, stock traders, monks and psychiatrists. It’s sounds so easy but I genuinely think that’s the secret sauce to winning in life.

This is not at all just a How To Get Better At Brawlhalla video. This is a video about learning to take your struggles and setting them up as a goal to beat over time. And not only is it informative, it's soothing and quite eye opening. Gotta love that it's not just a video about getting better at the game, but also to help you with your anxiety and emotions with ranked and even setting yourself up for other games, even if they are casual~. Not merely a "git gud" but a "Take your time, learn from mistakes, and understand that there will always be struggle but there will always be a way out" sort of tone. Wonderful work Egg, and thank you for your support for everyone~
Bro I just picked up brawlhalla before playing I skated for 7 hours trying to learn a trick and came up short I've been practicing this trick for 3 days 7 hours each day, every single time I came back in the house I was frustrated and angry. I would be extremely close to landing the trick and my legs would start to give out, this video is such a great video for anything whether it's a competitive game or a extreme sport or even a normal sport. If you keep trying things may click I was having doubts on whether I should just skip the trick but nah I'm not gonna let the trick get the best of me. Thanks eggsoup you gave me hope too try again and maybe not get too angry and just maybe have fun in the frustration of the journey.
Hey eggsoup, I was thinking of giving up before seeing this. I'm going to work hard on the fundamentals and try my best, thanks for being a heavy part of my Brawlhalla path. Hope to be as good as you one day. 😶
I'm really glad I came across this video. It's comforting to hear that failing is okay, accepting your losses, handling your ego, and a lot of other really good points. I hope a lot more people can take some time to watch the video, have it play in the background, anything really, because your words can and likely have resonated with thousands. Thanks for this video Egg, and thanks to anyone that might come across this comment 💜
I think you are the best Brawlhalla player and that your videos are super high quality and incredibly entertaining. You should never give up making videos and deserve everyone's support and attention in the Brawlhalla community. You will always reach the top of the Brawlhalla game as you are the most amazing player I have ever seen. You're always on top of your game as well and are very consistent, never playing badly and I would never want to play against you as you would beat me into the ground.
this is possibly the best brawlhalla video because it doesn't teach you just to be better in a game, all these aspects apply perfectly in real life, it makes me angry people who say that games they don't work for real life because this video is proof that no great video egg soup really changed my paradigm of absolutely everything I did wrong
Reason why I still play this game, the chase to becoming the best never stops. Ty eggsoup, you may or not know but you fueled so many player's competitive flames to still continue. And you fueled mine to be the best Hattori/Val player I can be, and you talk about the community and care for it. Unlike other game communities I've been in where people stay silent, stay cool my dude. The grind never stops
What the heck?!! I came here for Brawlhalla insight... WHY AM I GETTING A LIFE LESSON THAT IS GENUINLY TOUCHING AND MOTIVATING ??!!! This guy is maybe my new favorite UA-camr.
i remember watching this the minute it came out, i was about 12-13 and i would regularly watch your videos, and for this video, i was waiting for you to post it and once i saw you post it i clicked it and watched the full hour without pausing. i truly believe this video has impacted my life in so many ways. the choice of words you used in the video made me become a smarter person, a more carful person, and a more accpeting person. although this video was about brawl, it taught me many things in life and i want to thank you for that. this is truly one of the best videos created ever. i hope youre doing well egg, ily.
thank you for this video, It was an absolutely incredible experience. I was watching while doing hw, and some things you said really connected with me outside of the game ... after hearing all the teachers, counselors, and the therapists at school. This was so mind opening. I'm sure this probably sounds dumb, but I compared all the struggles you were talking about to school. I finally got to hear someone go in depth into what I'm feeling, so yeah 12/10 🌟
I've been listening to this video for the third day in a row while playing brawlhalla and it helped me enjoy game a lot more. Thank you for making this video
"you can't be anything other than what you are right now so learn to accept yourself" if there was any time in my life that i need to hear that it was now. cheers to you my guy. Really good at the game too

If you remove the Brawlhalla context, you can just rename the video: The Secret to Improving in Life (inspirational) and the thumbnail would be "How to Rank Up in Life"
Just thank you for this. Not only is this an amazing guide, but I also wanted to share a wonderful experience I had. Playing Mordex, I've been trying to improve by simply spotting times I could catch my opponent with a scythe, and forcing myself to play Scythe over gaunts, as they're pretty nailed atm. (I've mained Wu Shang for about three years, and am terrible at scythe, and haven't learned strings yet). A couple days ago I got a game where I was 1 vs 2 stocks, and reminded myself that I was simply trying to improve scythe, and it didn't matter if I got three stocked as long as I improved a little. I managed to spot a small habit of my opponents, then followed up by spotting a dair into a small combo. I won that game, and probably wouldn't have without the boost to my mental game, and more importantly the win felt all the better knowing that I was also levelling up my (terrible) scythe gameplay.
im slowly watching this because i play brawlhala less than 4 hours a week, and im learning a lot, but your commentary is wow. it really applies to life and different aspects of it. commentary is top notch. big W
This vid is def what the Brawlhalla community needs, I cannot count how many times people don’t GG when they lose. I almost gg everytime whether lose or win, because like Lucien said in one of his vids “If you lost, you just got outplayed, simple as that”.

Wonderful work Egg, and thank you for your support for everyone~
breaking news: 30% of the player base is now watching their replays

egg is so beloved, change my mind
Why would anyone change your mind
"The rank should be the side effect, not the goal itself" this resonated with my soul
Hey eggsoup, I was thinking of giving up before seeing this. I'm going to work hard on the fundamentals and try my best, thanks for being a heavy part of my Brawlhalla path. Hope to be as good as you one day. 😶
and where are you now
Unfortunately still in gold
@@tvvknn Where are you now? Or did you quit the game?
wow, speechless. i didn't know i needed this. thanks!
glad you enjoyed!
This video is amazing for every rank in the game INCLUDING top player, very very insightful and now I have some new methods of improvement to try :)
This isn't just a brawlhalla guide.
Best video i've watched in a few years!
I'm really glad I came across this video. It's comforting to hear that failing is okay, accepting your losses, handling your ego, and a lot of other really good points. I hope a lot more people can take some time to watch the video, have it play in the background, anything really, because your words can and likely have resonated with thousands. Thanks for this video Egg, and thanks to anyone that might come across this comment 💜
egg would be bad at among us by lying saying that he himself is “bad”
egg was not an impostor

Can't wait to tell my kids I learned how to face life from a video game tutorial 👍🏼
This ain't a tutorial on Brawlhalla, this is LIFE!
This man is a legend, he made a 1 hour vid and only slapped one ad, what can i say except you’re a legend and a honest man....
This is 100 times better from watching 10 hrs of ASMR.. I feel relaxed hearing your voice and learning from your teachings
My favorite quote I live by is “Being weak is nothing to be ashamed of, but staying weak is.”
I watched the FULL video already clearly even though it's been like 10 minutes thank you for the content I clearly watched!!!
*talks about how to improve in Brawlhalla*
*video showing him owning everyone*
me: - yeah I think I should trust his words
I think you are the best Brawlhalla player and that your videos are super high quality and incredibly entertaining. You should never give up making videos and deserve everyone's support and attention in the Brawlhalla community. You will always reach the top of the Brawlhalla game as you are the most amazing player I have ever seen. You're always on top of your game as well and are very consistent, never playing badly and I would never want to play against you as you would beat me into the ground.
this is possibly the best brawlhalla video because it doesn't teach you just to be better in a game, all these aspects apply perfectly in real life, it makes me angry people who say that games they don't work for real life because this video is proof that no great video egg soup really changed my paradigm of absolutely everything I did wrong
so like basically egg is woke, damn got my third eye opened in this video
1:10:00 Don't mind me just putting a timestamp for me to continue later
Edit: done
Lol nice
Have fun watching
You probably already did but i hope you enjoyed

Gold players after this video: Dude I’m gonna be the next Sandstorm
if you can focus enough, then hell yea you can!
There is nothing wrong with that.
Didn't have to call me out like that...
You’re a real warrior if you watched the whole video.
I'm on my way.
Looks like i ron't need to *PAY* for a therapist anymore
i remember watching this the minute it came out, i was about 12-13 and i would regularly watch your videos, and for this video, i was waiting for you to post it and once i saw you post it i clicked it and watched the full hour without pausing. i truly believe this video has impacted my life in so many ways. the choice of words you used in the video made me become a smarter person, a more carful person, and a more accpeting person. although this video was about brawl, it taught me many things in life and i want to thank you for that. this is truly one of the best videos created ever. i hope youre doing well egg, ily.
thank you for this video, It was an absolutely incredible experience.
I was watching while doing hw, and some things you said really connected with me outside of the game ...
after hearing all the teachers, counselors, and the therapists at school. This was so mind opening.
I'm sure this probably sounds dumb, but I compared all the struggles you were talking about to school. I finally got to hear someone go in depth into what I'm feeling, so yeah 12/10 🌟
me: trying and get better

still me but after a day and playing like silver: THE HELL
egg: there's a doorway to improve
gameplay: dairs 5 times in a row
me: I see.
mans rlly shit talking gameplay when hes tryna help😐
Drew Stock - this video was good but you can still joke
mans really getting too worked up when I'm just tryna joke around 😐
24:08 top right side "i recorded this part on another day can you tell?"
Really good at the game too
"you say there not good just cuz of your ego"
me: LOWER BEINGS
Imagine if humanity died and this was the only footage left that aliens had
We would be considered geniuses amongst le gods
Imagine if there be a patch like a week from now and the entire guide now means nothing
@Gluttony now being anxious and not analyzing mistakes is meta
@Gluttony the patch could be game changing, making some mechanics and strategies not work. Therefore changing the mind games/mentality of the game.
Holy sh…t bro you don’t understand how much wisdom you SERIOUSLY dropped here .. coming from a 25 year old bro you really SERIOUSLY intelligent bro please if you ever do stop doing brawlhalla bro I’ll literally just listen to you talk about life bro .. appreciate the entertainment and knowledge bro !
You have single-handedly been the go-to guru for me in terms of learning brawlhalla. I don't care about rank. I just play for fun.
41:19 Lmaoo this match has me dead 😂😂😂 they emoting and not realizing that he legit wanted to 2v1 em omg.. I'd keep my ass quiet 😭😭😭😭
If you remove the Brawlhalla context, you can just rename the video: The Secret to Improving in Life (inspirational) and the thumbnail would be "How to Rank Up in Life"
this man really spent an hour giving us life tips and disguised it as brawlhalla improvements
This is, without a doubt, one of the best videos I've ever watched...
im slowly watching this because i play brawlhala less than 4 hours a week, and im learning a lot, but your commentary is wow. it really applies to life and different aspects of it. commentary is top notch. big W
This vid is def what the Brawlhalla community needs, I cannot count how many times people don’t GG when they lose. I almost gg everytime whether lose or win, because like Lucien said in one of his vids “If you lost, you just got outplayed, simple as that”.
