It's not enough. If you just flip the signs, you're just turning a minimum cost into a maximum cost, instead of minimizing profit (which is not quite the same).
Might be a little late for replying but thought maybe you'd still be intrested... You can solve it as you would solve the maximum one but instead of choosing the most negative and so on till there are no negatives, you choose the most positive one and so on till there are no positives.
Great video ! I just couldn't understand why don't we write anything on the left side of the table . I mean, shouldn't there be some variables which switch when trying to make row constants to 0 ?
+Teo St We are performing row operations, not column operations. Thus we never switch the variables themselves, only combine in various forms the equations.
+BogTwoj Because you must get a 0 on one side of the equation, and the P term needs to always be positive. So the equation we are putting in to the tableau is -6x-8y-4x+P=0.
I call the objective function C when you are trying to minimize it (meaning cost) and P when you are trying to maximize it (meaning profit) as these are the two most common types of objective functions. You have to give it a new name, as it is no longer the same, but you can technically call it whatever you want.
This was the doubt i was hoping to get clarified.Thank you!!
Omg this is all I was looking for over UA-cam ❤️❤️
I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu thanks a lotttttttttttttttt May God bless you my teacher
Thank you mam.... 1 doubt if one constraint value 0 then we should select it or not
Thanks you are the best of the best, I love you.
Very well explained , thanks a lot .
Thanks for the tutorial. May I know why do we need to use the dual method? could we just simply make the objective function negative ?

Why did you choose the smallest , instead of the biggest on the pivot part...
Tlamelo Rankhumise same realization ... she's in maximize I guess ?

What if one of the v entries was a negative, do we consider the negative value when trying to find the pivot element?
Is it a must to change to its dual problem before we can apply simplex, can't we apply simplex method directly to the minimization case??

what's yr mail id
If there are two or three same - ve integers which column we should select.?
any , you would end in the same optimal solution.
thank you so much for this video!
thank you very much miss

Hi, if the signs in the constraints are not ">=" i.e they are "
RITESH MONDAL then that’s a maximisation problem. So jus solve it the way it is. Minimisation will talk a lot of time
Thank you ma.
why there is a - 6 - 8 - 4 in last row. if P = +6 + 8 + 4
+BogTwoj Because you must get a 0 on one side of the equation, and the P term needs to always be positive. So the equation we are putting in to the tableau is -6x-8y-4x+P=0.
@@DrDsMathHelp madam I think u do this when u apply the slack variables but u haven't
IMO you're so great! Both beautiful AND Intelligent!!!
You are great!!!!!!!!
Why you call the objective function of "P" after the dual method?
The C, where is it?
