I've watched this about 10 times already... Probably one of the sickest things I've watched since the John Mayer Trio stuff. Steve Jordan is one of the only other guys I could just watch play for hours on end and not get tired of it... Absolutely Killer, Carter.
Great playing Carter, but I think you really could've scaled back on the kit. No need to bring that huge prog rock rig out for a light gig like this ;)

Hey Carter! This is such a groovy set man... props to you and everyone else! What are you using as your "sizzler" on your cymbal? It sounds great! Thanks!
Nice playing Carter and company! Question Carter: Bass drum, heads and tuning for this gig? Sounds more muted than some of your other videos. Just curious? Keep up nice work!
there is somewhere a mic on.... on a other drum? sounds like a floor tom with sticks on it vibrating through out the set.... :/ nonetheless, great performance.
this is a drummer's dream gig
I was at this show and am a fan now. Great playing Carter. Tremendous musicality. Snare sounded killer!

Philip Pagliarulo thanks so much!!!!!
Killing it Carter! I love the different texture you're getting by using shakers, brushes, ext.
Two great players here! I can see the influence carter has on your videos
Those cymbals sound great. Quick pronounce yet mellow in the same time.
Great groove too!
Fun is the way I describe playing music with my friends also. I like hearing it said out loud.

That's not his kit. It's belongs to the drummer from Snarky
maaaaaaaan, _too_ much groove for this hour of the night. i'll never get to sleep at this rate. been a long time since i've heard chuck.
Thanks for this. It made my week here in Brazil. So nice to see the joy in your face while getting the job done.
thanks for posting this carter! killing it

Very cool gig, and you make it look so effortless!
Thank you Carter McLean! Amazing felling on stage!
I was almost clapping watching this on UA-cam, having a nice cold brazilian IPA. Fantastic!
O cara brincou demais, e olha so o kit, super minimalista. Muita técnica e bom gosto.
RIP, Curtis.
Love your drumming Carter 💚
Goddamn love me some Hunter & McClean.

Killer as always! *Had a great drum-chat with Carter about some of these gigs with Charlie Hunter! Check it out!
The version of Jealous Guy, HOLY DAMN!
Tasty all round!
Super groove! 👍
And great sound. Love that snare sound!
The dude on the left clearly has a crush on you.

MIKE LEAGUE!!!!!!!
Dear Carter, or anyone! could you please upload song set - list ? im not familiar with the tunes.. :(
What hi-hats are those? :)
Hey Carter, were you using a Go Pro to film this?
dunnenrb yes
Excellent drumming Carter. My question is...do you use the Earthworks S30 cardioid or hypercardioid mic?
I used the SR30 Cardioid but now I am into the Beyerdynamic M160's Ribbon mics
carter mclean you're using those as overheads now?
Awesome playing! Can you share as to what snare you are using? Sounds amazing!
Its my signature BALANCE snare. 6.5"x14 Flammed Walnut/maple.
That moment around 27:00 was worth the rewind
Hey Carter, what types are those beautiful cymbals you got there?
Awesome groove man. Cheers
I think Istanbul Agops, 14" and 22" maybe?
agop 30th anniversary 15” hats and 22” ride
Nice playing Carter and company! Question Carter: Bass drum, heads and tuning for this gig? Sounds more muted than some of your other videos. Just curious? Keep up nice work!
Michael Leonard I borrowed Snarkys kick. Dead as could be .....but I made it work. Cheers
this is fat! loving this
Glad to see you playing with Mr. Hunter more. Any plans for a release? On another note, you got some of the cleanest rolls in the bizz.
We are doing a recording in March with an amazing female vocalist
carter mclean excellent, do you know when the release will be?
Three piece brass section doesn't have to take up a lot of space. As is evidenced by the missing sax player in this video.
What is the name of the very first tune? Is it on an album?
What's the name of the opening tune? Great playing as always Carter
there is somewhere a mic on.... on a other drum? sounds like a floor tom with sticks on it vibrating through out the set.... :/ nonetheless, great performance.
So this is the pocket that erevybody talks about right?
Deep as Marianas Trench, deep as hermione's bag. Doing more with the true basics.
ooo, jealous guy👌
Hey Carter, who is the guitar player? I can't seem to find him on UA-cam under Charlie Irving.
He is known by Charlie Hunter, I believe ;)
he's known as "middle ringpinky."
I definitely hear a bass. But where? Carter grooves hard, as usual. Impressive
The gitarist plays the bass parts on his (7-string) guitar
I saw Charlie in Kentucky but you weren’t with him. My jaw was on the ground because of Charlie’s playing

Is this Instanbul cymbals you've played ?
Aurae1 15" & 22" Agop 30th anniversary
They have just an amazing sound ! For you, are they better than the Zildjians you used before ?
These smoke any cymbal company I have ever heard. I will never play anything else. They are perfection
Agop 30th anniversary are a little bit expensiv for me now. Do you have other preferences of this company ? Especially for ride cymbals.
All the comments are saying how awsome it is but youtube keep telling me something went wrong😭 can view the vid
