Good luck getting that past the RSR bruh. Im currently in the process with one of the Heritage Rail operators to properly introduce the concept to the RSR through folk who know the ins and outs. But MAN! The pettiness and BS is next level. Real "Dog in a manger" stuff. Ive been riding rails for a decade, here in ESSAY, but I tend to fly under the radar, just solo or dual bicycle rigs. Like many others before me, I recognise the potential in the ever failing system. Here we are 8 years from when you posted this, and the Outeniqua line is all but totally destroyed, albeit by natural causes, but also by neglect since. The neglect has increased the potential for this type of venture tho. We are trying to take the approach of getting Spoornet to absolve themselves of liability, and in fact responsibility for maintenance entirely. Declare them abandoned officially.
Hello. I'm trying to get a small scenic railroad up and running again after sitting closed since covid. I have a golf cart and would love if I could get the details of your invention. We could really use this to get rail inspection and maintenance going again. Would you be willing to share this information?
Wow Wouldn’t the golf cart rail vehicle be also suitable for the standard gauge railway of 4ft 5,1/2 inches. The same standard gauge railway as Great Britain, USA and Australia of NSW standard gauge railway
Marius Wannenburg Im looking for what you have on your golf cart. Im in the U.S. and have Googled it and there doesnt seem to be anyone that makes anything to drive on railroad tracks with a golf cart. Can you help me out with info?
No need to reinvent the cart, just tweak the wheel. Genius, love it.
Oh....my.....gosh THAT IS THE COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!
Electric rail cart (golf cart) = much better than those other noisy gasoline-motorized carts that other videos have !
And when the batteries go dead out on the rails you can just plug it into a tree and wait for lightning to strike the tree😆😂🤣👍
Carry a small, quiet little generator and recharge it. Still gives a quiet ride most of the way.
@@mark03061956 i like the lightning idea personally
FUCK electric vehicles!
easy queezy pumpkin peezy
That old children's tale, from the sea

Que excelente idéia, simples assim! Show. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

How much did the conversion cost you?
I had the wheels custom made.

with no body weight on the wheels do they tend to hop off the track, derail, when brush or heavy weeds are growing over the edge of the rails?
Where can I get that ?
Damn clever!
Modify it, put an engine on the cart. Off you go!!
Very kool.
So what’s the purpose of this ?
Did this ever happen
Is this a narrow gauge railroad ?
Depends where you are... its the standard gauge of South Africa 3'6" gauge.
Why?
