    I never knew how cool polyplex was. The grain delay fx is insane.

    Only way to get the samples to stay in there overtime you boot up polyplex is load in your user samples and save polyplex to sounds or a group in maschine, it would be really handy if they allowed you more then one group though,i want to fill the whole thing with my own samples! Great videos man,keep up the work...more machine komplete stuff dude.....good stuff

    Mario Christopher I see what you mean, Polyplex wont MIDI learn anything lower than C3. Is there no way to move your drum pads up an octave?

    THANKS A LOT !!! This is a new way of layering drum-sounds - and a really good one! Apart from all the other great features. I did not know that POLYPLEX is such a powerful tool !!!

      @Adsrsounds  9 років тому +1

      +Gerhard Binkele Yeah Polyplex is great for custom drum sounds, so much scope for deep editing. Only drawback is the CPU hit, I usually have to render things to audio when working on projects.

      Same here. As soon as the plugin loads it uses 25% CPU (tested on multiple systems). Sends my MacBook Pro's fan into overdrive which is annoying. Polyplex is the only track I freeze or bounce in my projects.

    Good stuff. I just got Komplete Ultimate a few days back and was wondering how you do this. Also crazy to see how old PolyPlex is.

    Hello... Greetings... I have a doubt :) I use M-Audio Oxygen 61 4th Gen and its got these Drum pads. I'm unable to assign them to the polyplex pads :( Cos the midi notes of my drum pads are in the octave of C2 and polyplex starts from C3 :( Please Help :)

    I am using the seperate Drum ensembles Polyplex - Kick/Snare/Perc etc but I find it troublesome that there is no Hihat ensemble included.

  • @markholding3954
    @markholding3954 5 років тому

    I realize this is an old thread, but if someone can help it would be appreciated. NI has changed the file drop down menu which no longer includes 'Save ensemble as'. Why they would do this baffles my brain. Anyhoo, how is this done now? Thanks in advance.

    I am thinking of purchasing battery 4, but now with polyplex out and what you showed I am hesitating, as I can't afford both I wanted to ask you which one would you recommend as a drums choice?

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  10 років тому +2

      Ilja Daderko I've never used Battery much, so really couldn't comment. Maybe you should try the demo of both to get the feel and experiment - what works better is probably gonna be very personal and dependent on the type of sounds you wanna create:

    Hi guys, is there a way to have severals user bank when uploading the samples? for instance all the kicks in the same "user" than snares in a different one?

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  8 років тому

      +guillaume rousere (Monsieur G) To my knowledge there is only one 'user' category, unless they have updated this feature since. I agree though, it would be very welcome if you could do this.

  • @azfiu
    @azfiu 9 років тому

    Polyplex doesn't randomize the first kick of the four for me, and it seems it's not for you either when you press the dice, it just changes the ADSR, volume, and everything else. I feel like it has to do with that purple line, whats the deal?

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 років тому +1

      On the first kick here the sample is locked, if you see to the right there's a tiny purple line. This indicates that the 'Sample' section is locked and therefore won't be included in any randomisations.

    i can't drag and drop my sounds from the folder into polyplex it just doesn't allow me to do that. if i try to add them with the add button, it lets me select and load only one sample at a time. it's frustrating with a folder with 100+ sounds in it. any idea why that is?

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  8 років тому

      The way I do it in this video is the only way I know how, I'm not sure if there is another way other than drag & drop?

    • @szilardzsargo9361
      @szilardzsargo9361 8 років тому +1

      yes there is another way cause this way works only on mac. inside Reaktor click on the DISKS tab and select your folder with your sounds in it. select them and then you can drag and drop them into the keys mapping window

    Question - if I save my project in my DAW and close down Ableton after I'm happy with whatever kit I just tinkered with, then restart (without saving anything in Reaktor), the kit re-sets to the original one on restart - is that meant ot happen? Do I need to save my Reaktor / Poly kit every time I exit my DAW??

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  10 років тому

      Tim Atkins Thats strange, doesn't happen with me. Are you using it in demo mode?

    • @2020Decoder
      @2020Decoder 10 років тому

      No it's the Player, but I think it's a random bug because it's not happening now. Makes me nervous about my work though!

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  10 років тому +1

      Tim Atkins You know what, this has actually happened to me when I've created custom hits, it's reset to one of the presets. I actually forced me to start rendering hits I've made with custom kits in Polyplex. Hopefully this gets sorted soon!

    • @2020Decoder
      @2020Decoder 10 років тому

    Excellent little tutorial. Thanks for this. I was wondering: Is there a way to sort samples by Sub-Type as well that you know of? How can we tag samples so that they sort this way?

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  10 років тому +1

      Dave Jolley Not sure on this one, will have to get back to you.

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  10 років тому +1

      Dave Jolley From the guys at Twisted Tools:
      User samples don't have subtypes, instead they have a range selector per layer (0-127). The user must then organize their maps in a way that makes sense to them and use the numeric range selectors to zero in on a subtype.

  • @drpsychikosa2739
    @drpsychikosa2739 8 років тому

    Do you know how the subtypes are set up in Reaktor? I'd like to load a full replacement set of samples which I am currently preparing from field recordings, and it would be helpful to know if I could set up subtypes as in the sample libraries supplied with Polyplex.
    Thanks for this and many of your previous videos which have helped over the years. I'm going to take that 7 day trial soon to see what you are hiding up your sleeve :)

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  8 років тому

      Sorry, I've never set up my own subtypes. Though I did a bit of diggin and found this post, maybe this helps?:

    That's the real trick :)

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 років тому

      +Mark Knight Well, the User type is your imported sounds. But I haven't got any closer to properly being able to import types/subtypes.
