I hope this is Part 1 in a series to showcase these new paints! I can't wait to get my hands on them. Also, glad to hear the washes aren't being touched!
I want those paints, but nowhere here in Belgium store,s selling anything from the army painter ,its all citadel paints here i want to try something else
PLEASE do more painting guides, especially ones that show how to combine your new contrast paint + extra highlights. I loved the giant and rough riders videos.
Looks good. Would love to see a video of the Triads in action. There's always that fear that there isn't enough value contrast between the 3 colors. Vallejo's new Game Color line has that issue with about half of the triads.
Really like this format of tutorial, breaking down each step and a screen shot of the colors. Hopefully see more of this style of video for other tutorials. But, really impressed seeing these new paints in action. Definitely staying tuned for more!
Army painter's idea of getting your army on the table quicker used to mean basecoat it and dunk it in a can of shoepolish, now they've got Speedpaint, Fanatics, the new Washes, the new Shading Triads, this is a hell of a glow up :p Any chances of a Dip 2.0 on the horizon?
Superb. I used to be a studio painter for Games Workshop in the late 80's and recently started to get back into painting again after many years and will certainly try these paints out when I can get my hands on some and they really do look excellent. All the very best for 2024. Darren Matthews
I was wondering do you think on your wet palette there could be a vent maybe somewhere? Because my wet palettes condensation goes on the brush insert and water drops fall into my paint and a vent should help prevent this. I love your content by the way don’t stop! ❤️
Great to see the Fanatic paints in action. It's looking good. Those metallics are exciting to me in particular. They seem to go on incredibly smoothly while maintaining their shine. Also great to see the wash range be expanded. They've always been great.
The coverage and vibrancy of these new paints is amazing. The finish is so smooth and consistent. Army Painter is fast becoming the industry leader. Congrats on a great product.
Impressive results. Army Painter has shown commendable commitment to optimizing the range, looking forward to more videos of fantasy and exotic creatures.
I can’t wait for the fanatics paint range to be released!!! Your products are the best and they are always my first choice. I’ve even gotten my son who is interested in painting miniatures into your paints by letting him using some of my Speedpaints
Like everyone says I can't wait to get my hands on this paint. I still have most of the last paint set but this new stuff is going to be a great addition to my collection.
We're always working on new tutorials and videos using a variety of popular models and ranges. Keep an eye on our channel in the future to see what comes out!
These paints have me damn excited for an Army Painter mainline paint range for the first time. I'm curious to see if they'll live up to the hype. Here's to hoping, I'd love to see another big manufacturer truly step up their game and make something special. Just as exciting though is new wash colors from y'all, and that your tried and true wash formula is remaining the same. That's a guaranteed win in my eyes. If there's one thing that's pretty universally said about AP's products, it's that the washes are ace, and I absolutely agree. Brilliant stuff.

Wish they could release like a traditional color starter before the official release to tease us! Just Red,yellow, blue and green thats all! Can’t wait for this release y’all driving me nuts with the suspense! 😅
Love this so much can’t wait to buy! I was also wondering if you could add a little vent or something on the wet palette as when I go back to it, my paint is a bit to runny from when it was last used. Because the condensation goes on the brush insert and drops into paint. But there isn’t a single product you make I say is bad! I love your content so much and watch lots of it❤🎉 I would also love an ultramarine tutorial for fanatics I will be so grateful if you do this!❤
Wonderful. I look forward to this paint range. I collect paints more than minis lol. Maybe some love for the heretics? I masterclass Nightlords would be most appreciated 🦇.
You already had me with your warpaints and speed paint ranges. Now I dont think I will be buying other brands anymore unless it's a color you guys don't carry.
My poor poor wallet... You guys are really gonna get me buying a complete set aren't you? About to get an Angron and could help but think just how perfect that Mulberry was for a base coat. Then seeing that yellow just, well... Work. I just got done painting 15 magma weapons using a yellow as a base and it took longer putting in 4 layers of base coats than the actual dry brushing for the magma effect. Also, thanks for showing how well the thinned speed paints work as glazes over them, was wondering that. Well January, ready or not, here my wallet comes. Looking forward to seeing more.
This may be a strange question, but can a nightlight color or colors be used as a dry brush instead? I'm not good at edge highlights. These paints look fantastic!
I can't wait to get my hands on some of these. And by "some" I probably mean the entire range of them. Will you sell a boxed set of all of these and all the Speed Paints in one set, like the custom bundles Wargames Delivered sells?
I recently purchased your Speed Paint 2.0 Complete box set. I am pretty happy with them overall but one area I am really struggling with is painting some of the Tzeentch miniatures I own. I am trying to get as close to the box art as possible. I would love a video about trying to match the box art only using Speed Paint 2.0. One of the minis I really struggle with is the Gaunt Summoner (the non flying one). I have looked for videos but I don't see anything on painting with Speed Paint 2.0 for this miniature. Thanks for the great videos!
Hope these perform like or are on par with Vallejo. In my experience Army painter is a lot easier to find and purchase, but I don’t like many of their current stuff. This new range seems to be a step in the right direction, so I’m excited
Is there a chart with all the upcoming colors anywhere? Would also like to see how other pain-in-the-bum colors, yellow and white, go on darker primers!
We're always working on new tutorials and videos using a variety of popular models and ranges. Keep an eye on our channel in the future to see what comes out!
I love this video, but it brings up something I've always wondered about; what is the point of the zenithal highlight if we are using opaque pants to just cover them up? Wouldn't it be more efficient and just as effective to prime the model in a light color to help with vibrancy and just be done with it? Are we taking a reference photo after the highlighting so we can look at where we want tone placement? I love the video, the paints look awesome and I have already purchased them, but I am genuinely curious if anyone or even The Army Painter has an answer to this.
Even if the zenithal gets entirely covered up with the basecoat, it gives you a good idea of where the shadows and highlights would naturally fall on the model for later :)
They went from the awesome SpeedPaints to this. Have speedpaint2.0+ complete I was going to save for war paints complete, but thats been mothballed for these awesome set. When will it be released? Love the work yall do with the paints
Do you hear that? That's the sound of my skepticism about these paints crumbling. The beautiful coverage of the mulled berry to start was one coat, and then the yellow on the parchment easily hid the sins in what looked to be one pass. Show me an orange with a single coat and you've got my money.
How do you make these smooth transitions? Do you load slightly thinned paint normally and then apply with a sweep and control (and brush off the excess paint) or how? When I paint,it doesn't look so smooth and if I dilute more, the paint leaves coffee stains.
Very thin layers coupled with glazes will help smooth out the transitions. The new Stabilizer for the Fanatic range will help as well as you can thin the paints down even further with it
What's the point of a Zenithal undercoat if these paints cover as well as you claim they do? Wouldn't the Zenithal be completely covered by the paint coverage, thus show through the paint to give you the natural shading that it provides?
Due to some international shipping limitations, we are only able to offer direct shipping to the US, EU and UK. Local retailers in Canada will be carrying it though :)
A wash is meant to collect in the recesses to provide shading, where as a glaze is a thin film of paint meant to subtly change the color evenly across the whole area it is applied to. You don't want it to collect or pool, but instead sit evenly across the model :)
make a video where all paints are painted over test bases or models or something. To see the exact colors and effects Also I really enjoy these paints, but I have a criticism. Some paint ranges don't go dark enough. For example the darkest reds are still twice as bright as I would want them to. Same goes for some sandy colors, oranges, yellows, etc. I also feel that you add white to a lot of colors making some ranges look a bit desaturated. I can't say it's always 100% opaque coverage in 1 layer - but it's definitely much better than all of my previous paints.
I hope this is Part 1 in a series to showcase these new paints! I can't wait to get my hands on them.
Also, glad to hear the washes aren't being touched!
More tutorials using Warpaints Fanatic are definitely on the way! Stay tuned in the coming weeks and months :)

Every time I hear you say "300-700 percent more pigment", all I can hear is Cave Johnson saying "That's 65% more bullet, per bullet!"
Impressive new paints aside this is just an excellent tutorial on it's own. Thank you for quickly and concisely showing these techniques.
I love the pure ballsyness of putting yeh red over black in the left side checkerboard.
Army painter's idea of getting your army on the table quicker used to mean basecoat it and dunk it in a can of shoepolish, now they've got Speedpaint, Fanatics, the new Washes, the new Shading Triads, this is a hell of a glow up :p

Awesome Paintjob!

We’re excited to see what you do with them!
Just when I thought I was done with mini painting, you all drag me back in by announcing new paints that look like a joy to play with! :)
I was wondering do you think on your wet palette there could be a vent maybe somewhere? Because my wet palettes condensation goes on the brush insert and water drops fall into my paint and a vent should help prevent this. I love your content by the way don’t stop! ❤️

Very impressed with what I’ve seen of the new line so far! Can’t wait to get my hands on them.
I was already pretty darn hyped about this new paint range. But this vid just pushed my hype into overdrive. The Army Painter does it again!
Love your paints, show some love to Titus!
Wow, this look amazing. Can't wait for them to be released.
I'm incredibly psyched to get my hands on more than a couple of these!
What's that, The Army Painter, more paint for me to buy? No, I can't, I have too many paints in my collecti.... oh go on then, you twisted my arm.
Like everyone says I can't wait to get my hands on this paint. I still have most of the last paint set but this new stuff is going to be a great addition to my collection.
Fantastic work by Tom! 🔥
love this style of videos please keep them coming. looking forward to getting some of these new paints.
Don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a new paint range. Well done, these look amazing
I need these paints NOW!
That beginning color would make a glorious blood raven
04:00 that answers my thoughts, you can add stabiliser to thin the paint down further.
It’s all very exciting!
Love to see a speedpaint 2.0 space marine master class

Looks fun to paint with the new range.

more of this please! a tutorial for orks would be awesome!!!
Awesome new series! Can't wait for more videos!
Impressive work considering the medium and brushes!
The red blending looked effortless
AMAZING! Army Painter going from strength to strength. 🎉
Such an incredible tutorial. Thank you!

I would also love an ultramarine tutorial for fanatics I will be so grateful if you do this!❤
Please Army Painter, more tutorials like this and the Speedpaint ones
Very very nice. I just started with painting miniatures and i think i found the company go with. Be fanatic 💪😉
Really good tutorial. Fell like I could follow along
Thanks for doing more paint tutorials
I would REALLY REALLY love a solid tutorial on White Scars or Grey Knights!
Fantastic tutorial. I really liked the explanation of the thought process behind the color choices etc.
Brilliant video thank you guys
I’m going to a war games show on Sunday and I have made my list to get some of these fantastic colours at the event , cheers Phil
The paints look a lot more matte here than I first thought. Super excited for january now! 🎉
Stoked for these!
Great painting guide!
Your PR guys qre on point.
Wonderful. I look forward to this paint range. I collect paints more than minis lol. Maybe some love for the heretics? I masterclass Nightlords would be most appreciated 🦇.
Those base coats look great over the larger flat areas. Noticeable improvement over warpaint reds. Looking forward to trying these out.
Woww looking great!!! Let's gooo!!!
You already had me with your warpaints and speed paint ranges. Now I dont think I will be buying other brands anymore unless it's a color you guys don't carry.
Can't wait to order my set.
First!
I will be buying a LOT of these awesome colors.😍
Excellent tutorial! I wanted to ask if you will soon have a color conversion chart compared to other brands, especially citadel. thanks!
wow can't wait to get my hands on a few of these
let's see the yellow paint!

definitely some enticing tones, I'll have to pick a couple of these new additions up at some point
So exited !!!!!!!
This may be a strange question, but can a nightlight color or colors be used as a dry brush instead? I'm not good at edge highlights. These paints look fantastic!
These work for drybrushing as well :)
Go get em boys! Tired of scraping dried paint off GW lids
I can't wait to get my hands on some of these. And by "some" I probably mean the entire range of them. Will you sell a boxed set of all of these and all the Speed Paints in one set, like the custom bundles Wargames Delivered sells?
Let me buy these already
I recently purchased your Speed Paint 2.0 Complete box set. I am pretty happy with them overall but one area I am really struggling with is painting some of the Tzeentch miniatures I own. Thanks for the great videos!
I'm really hoping these are as good as Pro Acryl. If they are I may just be super tempted to buy the entire range when it's released.
Hopefully more of these videos will be coming. How about a stormtrooper?
If you put a complete set for sale I will buy it immediately !
It would be nice to see the palette he's working on, you keep mentioning how thin the paints are but we can't really see that in the shot.
Thank you for the feedback, I'll make sure to relay it to our video department :)
This is neat
im really looking forward to trying these paints, i hope you guys improve your brushes to the same level next.
I'm very keen to try these out. I'm just wondering if I should get a complete set, or just the ones I need? I paint Necrons mostly.
Send more paints to more youtubers and painters!
Hope these perform like or are on par with Vallejo. In my experience Army painter is a lot easier to find and purchase, but I don’t like many of their current stuff. This new range seems to be a step in the right direction, so I’m excited
wahhh getting fomo, whyd i buy the full range of regular paints a few weeks ago xD I mean I'm super happy with them but those look extra awesome
😱😱😱🎨🎨🎨
Is there a chart with all the upcoming colors anywhere? Would also like to see how other pain-in-the-bum colors, yellow and white, go on darker primers!
Their website has an overview of all the colours in the range.
The mini looks fantastic, really impressed with the new range.
Would it be too much to ask for a painting tutorial on a dark angels mini?
We're always working on new tutorials and videos using a variety of popular models and ranges. Keep an eye on our channel in the future to see what comes out!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
I love this video, but it brings up something I've always wondered about; what is the point of the zenithal highlight if we are using opaque pants to just cover them up? They went from the awesome SpeedPaints to this. Have speedpaint2.0+ complete I was going to save for war paints complete, but thats been mothballed for these awesome set. When will it be released? Love the work yall do with the paints
First pre-orders are early January 2024 :)
@TheArmyPainter As a 1st time painter these paints have been awesome. Have zero regrets about your paints and look forward to that preorder
I was wondering what consistency would you consider a glaze for speedpaint? Also great video cant wait for the release!
Our painting team recommends a 50/50 mix
Now you need a good primer that isn't so "grainy" to go with the paints.
These new paints look great!
How about the prices for the new paints? Will they still be less expensive than GW or about the same?
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks and months

can we get a Masterclass on the base too
gotta go back for the eyes
Are these used on a wet palette?
They can definitely be used on a wet palette
What's the point of a Zenithal undercoat if these paints cover as well as you claim they do? Wouldn't the Zenithal be completely covered by the paint coverage, thus show through the paint to give you the natural shading that it provides?
The Zenithal undercoat still provides a good idea of where to place shadows and highlights before you start painting the model :)
Is the Blood Red glaze ratio 3 parts Speedpaint to 1 part Medium (3:1)?
yes :)
How will we be able to pre-order in Canada? Shipping to Canada is currently not an option on either of The Army Painter web shops.
Due to some international shipping limitations, we are only able to offer direct shipping to the US, EU and UK. Local retailers in Canada will be carrying it though :)
Hopefully at the same price 😊
Epic
Can someone explain how glaze differ from a wash ?
A wash is meant to collect in the recesses to provide shading, where as a glaze is a thin film of paint meant to subtly change the color evenly across the whole area it is applied to. You don't want it to collect or pool, but instead sit evenly across the model :)
@@TheArmyPainter thank you!
