I think it's crazy how she can rap and sing on the same damn level. Listen to Lost Ones by Lauryn Hill and How Many Mics by Fugees.
How many mics is so underrated
I used to be underrated, now I take iron makes my shit constipated, I'm more concentrated.
Lauryn's verse off "Cowboys" is still one of my favorites ever.
Yes how many mics she went in 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" Album... Pick a song ... You can't go wrong
Agree 100%
That’s a bar
Seriously, try and debate this. Her 5 Grammys for it will shut your argument down quickly.
💯💯💯
This sound was so different when this first came out…loved it then…love it now. Great reaction!
@@bryansimpson9858 It was!!!
Lauryn Hill is my fav female rapper of all time.
Lauryn in my top 10 personal favorite (I did not say greatest) emcees of all time. Gender means nothing when you spit as hard as she did.
My favs in no particular order since they are just favorites: Mos Def, 2pac, Black Thought, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Guru, Inspecta Deck and Common

Biz Markie was a member of the Juice Crew along with Big Daddy Kane. He also was an influence to Ol Dirty Bastard.
The Score overall is one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever released. And at her peak Lauryn Hill was so big she won 5 grammys in one year.
Well said sir 👏
I didn't know that and been listening to rap since its birth
Damn
The score is greatly underestimated
Facts
Go listen to Lauren on Dave Chappelles block party. More than moving. Heartbreaking. Big ups fam. You will love it
Lauryn is the best female rapper of all time in my opinion. She had the flow, the rythm, the phrasing, the voice, the attitude.
Lauryn Hill possibly the greatest female hip-hop artist (not just a rapper) ever
She is not close to Queen Latifa rapping, acting and artist management company and movie production company and product endorsements
@@summoofit4874 THIS
@@summoofit4874 If Lauryn would've did more rapping she could've been over Queen La. To me she's a better rapper than Latifah, whos dope by the way. Imagine if Lauryn would've put a a few rap albums out ? Her personal life held her back from accomplishing more in the business. Lauryn is still Goat level with her small catalog. Lauryn is the greatest rapper/singer ever regardless, in terms of doing both equally the same. Latifah did some singing, but her vocals didn't touch my soul like Lauryns. Latifah's singing is average compared to L Boogies.
@@summoofit4874 When it comes to product endorsements, artist management, production companies and more acting, I believe that Lauryn could've been successful in all of those things. Lauryn is well spoken and has a very magnetic personality. I believe Lauryn does not care about those things and chooses to separate herself from the industry and not affiliate herself.
@@raone8134 You just killed your own argument someone isn't great because they don't care about certain things greatness is about accomplishments not would have or could have
This was meant to be a Fat Joe beat but he didn't like it so the Fugees got it. Also there's three remixes to this song one is is the Sky and Robbie remix which features John Forté and Akon then the another is the Global Remix where they're rapping in different languages.
I didn’t know this!
Fat Joe must’ve been kicking himself. 😂
I can't see Fat Joe on this anyway
@@tyqwanmills03 the beat was made by riza from the wu Tang clan
If you want to hear lauryn raps, listen to How Many Mics and The Beast by The Fugees
Also 'Cowboys'. Her and Rah Diggah 🔥
back in the day my dad would always buy Rolling Stones magazine and they had CDs with sample tracks of upcoming albums. and just before the score came out they had how many mics on the CD, that was the first thing I heard of the fugees and it blew my mind. still one of my favorites.
One of her best (the best?) Rapping Lauren Hill ever did was her short verse on an outro..Manifest.
Also "Zealots""
@@lifestraight I was gonna say Zealots too
Biz Markie "Nobody beats the Biz"
Lauren Hill, to me, is the greatest female MC ever.
No doubt
The score is one of the greatest hip hop albums in my opinion. I remember listening to the entire CD all the way through. Never skipped a track.
yes! I have never heard anything I don’t like with Lauryn Hill.
Facts
Man I'm old - but The Score has to be in the TOP 5 Hip Hop albums of all time. Beginning to end. The album is 1000% dope.
Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That thing) would be a good place to start. So much knowledge in that song.
I agree
The whole album is perfect
This Was The Song That Got The Fugees Started My Dude The Chorus Comes From Teena Marie's Ooo La La and their Album The Score Sold Over 7 Million Copies in the U.S and Over 30 Million worldwide 💯💯
Yeah Lauryn is the truth, I would suggest Everything is Everything she displays her mcing & singing skills. And check out Vapors by BIZ Markie to be familiar with the brother #RIPBiz
Thank u for this man, yes Lauryn hill her voice man makes me fly
You should totally react to Rumble in the Jungle by Fugees featuring A Tribe Called Quest & Busta Rhymes. All legends on that one
Straight dope track
Lauryn Hill verse on "Rumble In The Jungle" was the deepest, dopest, intellectually stimulating on the track! She spit some information. A whole African/Black history lesson in a few bars! Her pen is deadly and stands on its own. She said..."Hip Hop started out in the heart now everybody tryin ta chart", "Music is suppose to inspire, then how come we ain'tt gettin no higher..." - "Super Star" A song on the "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" album. She's my favorite MC.
this whole album is amazing! every single song. Rest In Power Biz💜🙏 yes i still know every single word of “Just A Friend “ and the video is a must watch! Biz was a lot of things and very entertaining 👍
Lauren is indeed something else
In honor of Biz you should "Just a Friend"
And Vapors.
@@DEEVIL damn near any song from that 1st album!
Make the music nobody beats the Biz & young girl blues good joints by Biz Markie to check out
The vapors
“We need to bring back the natural look” 💯 🔥
This is what made me love her back then. She was natural and didn't fall into what women were supposed to be in the industry. That's the main reason she got out. They wanted to change her. That's my GOAT right there.
Lauryn Hill was and still is a goddess.. Love seeing the younger generation giving respect to the real ones.
all i can say as a guy who lives his entire life in southamerica and has the luck to listen to Lauryn in the early 2000's (im 33 atm) all i can say is that she is a goddess!!!!!! This is how far she reach!
Bruh....if you want to hear L Boogie at her MOST powerful lyrically, and also where she was prophetic and ahead of her time? Listen to her MTV Unplugged album, and her song "The Mystery of Iniquity". Many people don't vibe with her unplugged but, you gotta look at the time period she came out, and what she was saying in the song. POWERFUL words if you just listen. And of course, listen to ANY track on "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" and you will hear nothing but hits. 98 was a helluva year for music lovers.
Yes!!! 🔥
This group was so talented and were a great blend. Wyclef had the mix of pattwa, Haitian and American, Lauryn Hill was the ultimate R&B/Hip Hop artist and Pras came with some wisdom (underrated).
Funnily enough Pras was very smart with his money and he invested wisely, still living of the proceeds from his career today. A great group!
Check the following tracks by Fugees.
"Nappy Heads" (Remix)
"How many mics"
"Cowboys"
Poor Righteous Teachers got a song called Allies that Lauryn Hill is on, 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
If you are going to react to PRT, you have to start with Rock Dis Funky Joint.
Man should do Nappy heads. Now that's a banger
Rest well, Biz!! #JuiceCrewLegend
She is the greatest.
React to Biz Markie - The Vapors. He's one of the pioneers and he brought Big Daddy Kane to the fore front, by making him a part of the Juice Crew so it's only right you pay hommage
Bruh, thank you for your channel. You get it. You understand how important Lauryn was to the culture. She's like hip hop's version of a mythical Greek goddess. The bards, the singing voice, the image (as you pointed out a very natural afrocentric look). She's a generational talent.
You know how you know she's good? She has a reputation for showing up super late to her shows, and people (including me) STILL continue to buy tickets to see her live. It doesn't matter. People want to see her.
Wyclef’s The Carnival is a great album too. Hill and Pras are both on it.
This entire album is fire 🔥. Lauren Hill is wonderfully talented! Do Wop (that Thing) is a banger for sure…✌🏻
I was singing like oh lalala la la la la la la la la
In memory of Biz Markie, "The Vapors"
Some great Lauren Hill solo tracks are: Doo Wop (That Thing), Everything is Everything, Lost Ones.
I think she won like 9 or 8 Grammys offer her first album that's the goat status but the industry was trying to control her that's why she didn't release another album the only second album is live album
I heard about that a while ago about her situation in the industry. It’s sad but didn’t surprised me on how the music industry does to its artists smh
@@KingAhmadTv yep they try to remote control her she didn't like it and that's why you don't hear from her no more
U learning young man... Salute!
You are right bro i m 76 but he cant understand i listened this song 100 times on day
Check out manifest by the fugues! Lauryn’s verse is incredible as well!👍🏾
You're right about Lauren Hill! Genius!
Your right young man Lauren hill is the best female rapper of all time, I Love everything about her😊
The baseline is killer
RIP BIZ ... do his song with the beastie boys... 1
Lauryn is the best female rapper of all time and is in my top 5 overall.
That Whole Album The Score is Fire son!!! I first had it on tape and I listened it so much it broke!!! I have that Album on Cd,Digital and on Vinyl!!! Possibly one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever!!!!!
Lauryn no doubt the best. Argument could be made for kim, foxy, rah digga, remy. Hate to admit it but i put nikki up there too. But for me, Lauryn wears the crown
R.I.P. Biz Markie!!! Juice Crew Worldwide Star!!
Yo Ahmad, totally agree with some things you say here. You might know them already but a couple of amazing female MCs right now are Rhapsody and Che Noir - real hip-hop from these women
I’m already hip about rhapsody 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Don't sleep on Wyclef Jean.🇭🇹💯 React to The PJs by Wyclef. REAL HIP-HOP LYRICS. 🔥🔥🔥🤟
Nobody beats the BIZ ! RIP.
Female GOAT of HIP HOP, poetic deep lyrics of rap and singing.
no disrespect as well: love it, that young dudes like you see, i mean really see, natural beauty, it doenst mean she wore no make up, but it's noting compared to female rap stars these days. i mean nothing!!!
So good to see there are young guys out there still enjoying pure beauty
React to:
- "If I ruled the world" by Nas feat. Lauryn Hill
- "Say" by Method Man feat. Lauryn Hill
Also check out:
- "Chaos" by Talib Kweli feat. Bahamadia (from "Soundbombing Part II)
[Bahamadia is definitely also a very special female rapper...]
Need to react to Big Daddy Kane and Biz Mark
Just rhyming with Biz. Need to check out Che Noir! Hunger Games. Sa Roc is the truth also. I trying to put you on
i’m with you on bringing back natural looks, but i’ll admit it’s easy to say that when you’re looking at lauryn hill 😂
Straight classic.
Ok youngin the Fugees was one of the most talented groups in hip hop and R n b so since your going down this lane you gotta listen to Lauryn Hills solo project one of the best hiphop/r n b records every made
Great song, brings back memories!
i mean... how can it be first time for one of these UA-camrs hearing all these classics, AND be living in the USA AND loves hiphop?
a myth for me, but cool reaction man!
Biz Markie "Biz is goi'n off"..
Do a reaction to Lauren Hills "Lost Ones" from 5 Grammy winning album.
One of her dopest verses is on manifest by the fugees as well as family business on the same album... Lauryn is dope but not enough work to be the greatest...
Both great don’t forget the year of the dragon off of wyclef’s the carnival
@@adamdepew1756 that was one hell of a verse too... but I think young blood needs to be eased into that Lauryn... she was angry n hurt by then
The Dopest Female Rapper Ever ❤️❤️❤️
Hahahaha, yo young God, we ALL felt that "Fu-Gee-La" when Ms. Hill pulled up😉 A true Queen and a most intelligent and beautiful Black Woman
in fact she is, greetings from a fellow afro-southamerican
Fugees "Vocab"
Welcome to 1996 it was a strange thing
React to the Vapors by Biz Markie
Biz and the Beasties. Pure hip hop gold. For hip hop
Fugees,Ready or Not,check it out
Check out the album.... the miseducation of Lauryn Hill
I see you and that Wu wear!! 🙌🏾
Til this day i still get goosebumps when I hear that bass line drop. Lauren is angelic. Beautiful, can rap and sing. One of the best talents in hip-hop history. Wyclef and Pras is cool, but Lauren made the group.
Check out ready or not by fugees
Definitely a classic joint from thier second album that helped them get popular worldwide
Foxy Brown, feat. Havoc(fr. Mobb Deep),
"The Promise"
🔥
Fugees The Score is in my top 10 albums of all time. Classic album!!!!
Check out Lauryn Hill when she did her solo album. The whole album is hot. Check out "Doo-Wop and "Everything is Everything".
The fugees are a special group. What a beast the score is. Lauryn Hill is undoubtedly one of the most talented women ever. Check her solo album the miseducation of lauryn Hill. One of the all time great albums
I think Missy got something to say about that but I feel what you saying about her flow and singing
You had the same idea as I did. Lauryn Hill definitely take the combo rapper and singer crown. But the absolute best female MC is Missy Elliott
Bro, react to Black moon- "two turntables and mic".
🔥
RIP Marcell Biz Hall
Master P - Ice Cream Man
¿Por qué no tienen traducción al español? No hablo ni entiendo inglés, y me pierdo sus comentarios.
Yoo Ahmad, what's good bro. I'd love for you to react to Juvenile....HA...original or remix w/ Jay z.
T.i....24's
Jay z......big pimping
All are great....Don't expect all, but 1 of them bro.
Although all would be awesome too.
Much love
"Lauren Hill was something special".....Understatement of the Century....LMAO!
Check out Biz Markie - Goin' Off (RIP to the Legend!)
That beat though! L. HILL'S bars were above Wyclef and Pras. Her vocals make the song better. 😎🖖👌
25 years later, and Lauren Hill will still hypnosis a guy.....
That's not a girl, that's a woman....
Damn.....
I remember when this video was first released. They first showed it on Yo MTV raps wich aired here in europe at the same time as the us. I had to set my alarm and sneak downstairs to Watch it. I was so excited, I forgot to push record on my VHS so I had to wait 2 weeks before I could listen to it again because that’s when they released it in europe.
It was so great, unlike anything I heard before. Their old album was good but not great as the Score was.
I was Lucky to see them live that summer in Amsterdam.
I’ve seem Lauryn a couple times over the heard, last one being 3 years ago and she is an artist in every sense of the word. Her music, her style and most of all her Messenger, it’s pure Art, out of this World
