I know this video is now 2 years old or older; but...... Thank you, Jay for this video!!! I spent many hours researching AM5 parts and researching reviews of the needed components. The case was a component I couldn't make up my mind on. As someone who has used "traditional" tower cases: I wanted something "different" along with the need for the PC to be on the left hand side of the desk. The installation of all the components in the case was the easiest one I've ever done and the cable management was awesome. I have since ordered another O11D Evo to move my AM4 platform into. While there are many cases that allowing the motherboard to be rotated: for me, the O11D Evo made sense as far as price and build ease for what I needed. Thank you so much!!!
I'd love to see an inverted build in this thing! What does inversion make you change about how you'd normally go about cooling the thing? And is a hotswap bracket for the drive cage even possible? Not often done in a case this size that isn't purpose-built for it.
The Lancool II has an HDD/SSD hot-swap kit available for $15. Pretty sure Lian Li is forward-thinking enough to have one ready for the O11 Dynamic EVO as well.
I'vre had an inverted case for a few years now (Corsair 600C) and I think the cooling suffers a bit. In this case its probably not too bad as you could just do bottom intake top exhaust either way. I'd be interested to see how it affects cooling for the 30 series FE GPUs in particular. Ive got an FE 3080Ti and I don't think inverted is giving the best cooling for its cooler design, so I was actually planning on picking up a normal oriented case, though inverted tends to work better for my setup space in general. This case is now the top of my list as I can orient it either way.
I prefer to have my feet next to the empty side rather than the motherboard side of my rig (not only does it relieve some anxiety from when I kick my computer... it also reflects the RGB off my toes!) so afaik it might depend on the configuration of your computer station. It gives you more options to RGB bling out! xD
@@pdraggy Ah. See, there I'm supposed to quote the great and powerful Paul: Computer off floor. Mine's only about 10 inches off the floor, but it's off to the side of me sufficiently that kicking it isn't happening.
I don't mind paying for the accessories but I think they should offer a mesh version and glass version and then sell the accessories to convert either version if you wanted to.
Or simply make the mesh version the default and make the glass an option. By doing that, they might actually be able to reduce the base price of the case.
@@lyianx True, but a the same time what's more confusing for the consumer/end user? Buying a case then finding the opposite front panel you want or just buying the model with the front panel you want. (Keep in mind not everyone is super tech savvy like people watching this video) Each way has it pros and cons and Lian Li is probably making the choice they see best for them self.
I love my 011D XL. Was such a nice case to work in. Having a EK distribution block that’s designed for the case was a major plus. I even did some modifications to fit in a second EK FLT 360 reservoir on the MB side, and the vertical GPU mount with a radiator on the bottom. Took 2 months, but was a fun journey.
@@Evil_Chronic Ohh yeah, that's nice. Particularly the twin blocks side by side for the MB and GPU. And straight lines for the tubes. It's a shame when things don't line up perfectly, but fitting elbows are better than kinks in tubes imo
Very well thought out. This is also why, in my mind, it's kinda lost its magic at this point. There's just something about it, that doesn't make me go wow. When I saw the original case, I was absolutely blown away by its simplicity. This is starting to be overengineered now.
@@kevinerbs2778 every case has some kind of flaw or tradeoff. No case is completly perfect. It all comes up to personal preference too if something may be a flaw or not.
@@kevinerbs2778 High-end SFX power supplies have served as an exhaust in cramped ITX builds for years now with no issues. As long as you have a high efficiency, high quality PSU, with average or above average heatsinks inside, and it's decently overkill for the power usage of your components, it's gonna work more than fine.
You guys should do a build in this, easily one of the best cases I've seen, maybe one with a custom loop. Also seen Gamers Nexus's review of this thing and the customisability is very commendable. However, I think for the top shield, make it an option to have the usbs and stuff like that nearer to the front, because a lot of people put their pcs under their desk, and may find it hard to bend down, or find it hard to fit usbs on the top, so if the usbs were newer to the front, the user could maybe have the case stick out a bit and they could fit them in far more easily, but this is just my opinion. Other than that one small thing, cool case.
@@A.Martin The ports were movable from the front to the side. It was clearly demonstrated. Now the real downside is that they were on the bottom of the case rather than the top. That is actually good for setups like mine: with the PC on a floating shelf just above the rest of their builds. That is one of things I loved the most about it. My current case is the Lian Li Lancool 2, and its difficult for me to get to my front panel ports just because of where I keep it (yes, that is my fault, not Lian Li's).
I'll for sure be using this for my upcoming build. The flexibility in the orientation both the entire case and gpu mounts with the kits are the main sell for me. Also finally a fully snow white version that is not the mini! :D
Ok now this version, I want - so much room for activities now, and would be more fun to mod. Also love that Gunmetal color, I think it would look great with a white frame with the Gun Metal panels.
Can we turn our beds into bunkbeds??? And here's the thing it will give us so much extra space in our room to do activities!!!! You don't need permision from us to build bunkbeds your adults you can do what you want...... sooooo...... I'm not making myself clear I DON'T GIVE A FU@K!!! sooooooo..... YES!!! You guy's will not regret this we will get so much more activities done! LMAO Step-Brothers movie was awesome.
i'm not usually one for hype trains because i usually find things are OVER-hyped but jesus christ there is so much to this case to love, there were multiple parts of the video where i out loud was like "ohhhh, that's really cool" so honestly i'm sold on it. like, who thinks of ALL of those features and then ACTUALLY puts them into their design?????
This review and this case deserved the latest update with UA-cam. Not having the dislikes being shown. This case and Lian Li doesn't deserve any dislike. Looking forward having this case
People always say stuff like this, but never give a single specific. Keep in mind that anyone watching this channel, or Linus, or PC Jesus... you're a niche market. The general public doesn't like what we like. It's why operating systems have been going more towards phone/tablet type interface.
@@staLkerhu Definitely a niche market....ask a "normal" PC user and they will laugh at people who have a massive desktop PC (or a desktop PC at all) instead of something like a Microsoft Surface or MacBook Pro....hell now kids are basically just using their phones as their main PC. And then those same people complain about optical drives not being in many PCS/laptops anymore. Average person would never spend more $ on their PC case or processor much less the same amount of money for a cheap used car for a video card. Only people like myself who need space for multiple SSDs, airflow for expensive video card, capture card, etc. In other news I miss more full sized ATX cases or even taller. Shit feels cramped in mid caees
It feels like with some of the optional accessories this case fills some of the void Case Labs used to fill and I'm sure that's reflected in the price.
This looks fantastic. When I did my first build a year ago I thought the case from a different company was amazing, but that's also because I didn't know any better. I'd definitely want to do a build in this for myself or family!
I still have a Lian Li all aluminum case from 2004. I retired it about 8 months ago. It lasted through 3 separate builds and boring two 120mm fan holes in it. The fit and finish was superb. Loved the slide out motherboard tray. Taking that nice light weight case to a lan party was a joy. Due to heat considerations with newer generation motherboards and graphics cards I decided to get a new case for my newest build and chose a Fractal Design Define 7xl. It's huge and will take anything I can throw into it. It WON'T be going to any lan parties as it's a heavy beast.
Thank you so much Jay for making this excellent video. As always, your videos are tremendously helpful. Please note that there is a small screw on top of the glass side panel that Jay easily removes at 6:35. If that screw is not removed, then the glass side panel will not come off.
It's a great case all around and the mesh front option makes it an option for those who aren't wanting to set up a showpiece PC. I still think they could at least include some fans at that price, but whatever.
In my last month of soaking up UA-cam to catch up from a 15 year gaming and PC building hiatus, I independently came to the conclusion that this case (specifically the O11D EVO RGB successor) is all around one of the best looking, versatile, and great value cases ever made. Along the way I became familiar with and a subscriber of Gamer Nexus, PC Builder, optimum, TechSource, and many others along with of course this channel. It should not surprise me that you all speak highly of this case and that this line is one of the most popular out there.
Almost winter of '24 here and I am case shopping. Coming back to this to see the details that are left out of other reviews. Looking like the RGB version of the EVO (with the front mesh kit) is one of my best looking options for a 9800x3d build and had to check it out, throw a like at the video and leave a comment when I saw it was one of Jay's videos. Great build details for those trying to make a choice on a case.
For me this is the perfect case! No trade offs, but I have one question, can you mount hard drives where the pcb on the back is showing? I love the look of the back of them!
I got the XL myself and apart from the ability to switch it upside down I still prefer the XL especially on design (I prefer old button/io locations). About the Evo itself as you stated it in the title, I am amazed how they take the time to improve their design even though their are still in the top range compare to competition.
Imagine a company, that has a product that sells better than everyone’s…. But instead of doing what they can to destroy their competition and drive down competition. They actually keep improving. Some how they make things that perform better than other and look nice. How. Really should tell everyone how lazy these other companies have been.
I just started watching your content like a month ago while I’m getting ready to build a pc, and I’ve learned so much about everything from you so far that I never would’ve thought about researching. It’s just plain fun to watch your videos! Keep it up Jay🤙🏻
That side panel swivel sheet for the fan / rad mount really explains why Lian Li Left me on read when i offered them the product I made to solve that issue for them in the non Evo models.
6:13 I actually didn't even realise this when building my computer, I just took off my dust filter for my exhaust side with my O11 and it runs instantly cooler. could you guys maybe do like top 10 tips people overlook when building a computer? you guys are legends!
something like this really depends on the hardware you own and if you case has a good airflow around it. I could disable all top fans and the temps would climb like 1-2 degrees. the filter makes it easier to clean tho
That's also true for the intake. Remove the dust filter and more air goes through. Of course, more dust goes through too. So you have to clean out the computer more often. But I'd rather blow the dust out every couple of weeks and have a cooler quieter computer.
If I didn't already build in the O11 Dynamic XL i would buy this case immediately. Phenomenal design, can't believe they continue to make an already great case even better.
@Matt Cooper this is true also as my build would have been better originally for left hand side. I had to redesign my entire setup just to get it over on the right side.
I spent a couple of months trying to find the perfect case for the last build I kept coming back to the 011 dynamic and I kept rejecting it because everyone uses that case and I wanted something different. Finally out of frustration I just said screw it and ordered one. Now I know why everyone uses it. The dynamic is an amazing case.
ive spent 2 years trying to find a worthy replacement to my TJ 11 but there literally is none....and i can only fit the asus TUF Gpus all others are to long so i might be fucked for the 40XX series... unless someone make a decent case within a year....
It’s crazy how familiar you are with case design and function. You made this a great dive into this specific case, and system building. Really great video (that could have been a boring review)
Aside from my Primochill Wetbench, my last 4 cases were Lian Li. All of which fantastic build quality and very easy to work in. Honestly outside of a couple nice Phantek cases, Lian Li is easily no.1 in my book.
I really like just how much you can customise it to suit your layout. The option to double the amount of I/O ports is also a nice addition to an already fantastic case. The only real gripes I have are in two places. First, the reservoir's mount position seems like a lot of wasted real estate (unless you can reposition it further along, making space for a PSU next to it). Meanwhile, the top part of the compartment feels like a great place to mount a fan, to push air onto the motherboard's backplate... Second, I agree the Upright GPU kit is weird, but using this with the Front Mesh is weirder - this is especially noticeable with a partner GPU, which either have some RGB bling, or even an LCD display. I feel there could be a Hybrid Front Panel kit, with most of it a mesh for up to 140mm fans, but also a 20mm window flush with the RGB bar to support a partner GPU's "wow" area.
I just picked up this case in White. Heads up! When removing the glass side panel, there's a small screw at the top in the middle next to the glass panel, make sure you remove that before attempting to remove the panel.
The interesting part about this case is that I don't see any intake filters for dust. Maybe the intakes are wide open so dust is not an issue or has time to settle with the air flow?
Real good that you purchase one case, and then can just swap stuff as to how you want it. I love the side radiator/fan bracket. I didnt like the look of my radiator on the side in my O11 really. It is great that they took this case and found ways to improve it. It is great that you make a left or right sided case depending on your setup. Good stuff Lian-Li!!! Job well done
This is an excellent case and one I could look at in the future. My only gripe with the company is extra pieces being available. For those that get things used, keeping things out of the landfill longer, sometimes they may want to purchase something (not trying to use the warranty) in order to set up the case to their liking.
Wonderful Jay, I am seriously saving up for this in the new year. I can't afford a new GPU but I can give my current rig a facelift and I need the space for 3.5-inch storage. Thank you for the inspiration to get building again. International Music Services (Malta)
Something that none of the video showcase/reviews are mentioning is the extra cooling clearance for tower coolers! They went from an annoying 155mm to much more awesome 167mm! NH-D15's and Ice Giant ProSiphon Elites are part of the O11D mid twr game now. =) About time Lian Li!
For aesthetics make the upright GPU bracket screws area slidable to position the GPU centrally between the motherboard and the front of the case. This would also provide space and give the ability to connect cables to all motherboard sizes.
Hey Jay. I'm building my first ever computer at 76 years old and this is the case that I've decided to go with simply because of your excellent review. It has the space and adaptability/flexibility to provide me with the confidence to have a go. The only concerns so far are the connections to fans and ARGB. But I will get there.
This video got (and left) me wondering: Can you mix and match? Especially those optional parts you are showing, could they be used in O11 mini? Or older models? Or other models there's of O11? Could parts of this new case be used in other models? You could maybe touch the inter usability in the powerblock video? Or just make a Lian Li Lego video showing what all parts can be swapped and made into a crazy build with different Lian Li case parts to see how far their modularity really goes?
Now I want that Mesh kit for my Lian Li 011D XL. When I go to build a computer for my teenagers I will definitely be getting this one. You have a lot more options for orientation with it which makes it even better.
thats some badass customization. i love that derbaur can help design cases while still uploading german videos, and english videos and doing insane overclocks and product reviews. the man is a robit
The filter on the top is for exhaust like you said, but it is not there to filter the exhaust, but rather to keep whatever the cat drags up out... because it is the warmest place in the house for it to take a nap. It is most definitely needed.
Jay i totally agree with you regarding the cable channel management. I just recently had the Montech Sky Two Chassis and boy was I frustrated with the cable management in that case, I couldn't even close the back case. So I've sent back the Montech Sky Two Chassis and am looking for a new chassis hence I'm here watching your video.
Is it worthy enough for me to build in? While the option to invert the case is worth a lot of points (I rarely see those, and I most commonly have my machine on my left), and I really like the optional grey mesh front and movable front I/O, the fact that (like most cases nowadays) it has no slot for an optical drive makes it a no-go as far as I'm concerned (I still use those, and do not want to need an external one).
I just found a video of someone building in the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO and they used an AIO for cooling the CPU, however this "Reviewer" placed the radiator on the bottom of the case thus letting any air to go to the pump and then complains/explains why he did the set up that way. (He did a vertical GPU mount blocking off the top mounting area) This reviewer also mostly complained about how this case is not for the beginner in building computers.
i bought the front fan bracket and populated the whole case with fans and a 240mm aio with a push pull configuration. my fan curve never goes above 30% fans speed. allowing the quietest pc gaming pc under full load and its awesome. i love the tinkering that building a computer gives you. top fans (exhaust, bottom fans (exhaust), front fans (intake), side fans (intake), rear fan (intake)... with top mounted aio... allowing positive air pressure, getting the benefit of dust filters, and a super aggressive low fan curve. 3080 never goes above 80 degrees C (thats playing 4k max settings on a game like hogwarts legacy). but with most games it sits around 70 degrees C. 12700k never goes above 50 degrees C at the high end.
I don't plan on building another computer for a year or two, but I'm extremely tempted to pick this case up so it doesn't go out of stock whenever I get to it. This looks fantastic both aesthetically and mechanically.
Newegg is sold out I only saw one other place for "preorder" and I don't know whether the date was Feb 11 or Nov 2. What attracted me to this case was it can be used for fun stuff and it has provision for 3+ HDDs. I don't build PCs but I'm going to try one so I'm somewhat less than savvy about this stuff. I want a case that will be easy to work with and so I kind of thought getting a bigger case than I really absolutely need would be a good idea. Is there something that is close to this case that is readily available?
@JayzTwoCents at 06:00 you mentioned it is fine that the top does not have fan filters 'cos it should be an exhaust. But what about positive pressure then? Or positive pressure (and dusts) is not your priority in builds?
Vid blew my mind! I have a high end build w/a C700m case & this reminds of that in customizability. Just ordered one at a 1/4 of the cost of the CM for my daughters build
"Fresh Mint Kit" made me laugh out loud a lot more than it should have ahahaha It's amazing what people can mis-see(?) at a glance LOL Fantastic video, as always!
I would like the mesh front version case but it appears that such has to be purchased in the USofA for shipment to Canada. Last week I tried to buy Phantek T30 fans (6) and the customs clearance is over 100$ so getting parts from the US is just a none starter. Plus UPS will not let me recover my user id nor my password so I could pay the expediting and vat fees.
LoL and i thought this looked mini haha but then again i only use Full Towers and most cases on the market now are to small for me even the 1000D sooo yeah..
For me the biggest change is the CPU cooler clearance increase. O11 Dynamic and Air had too low CPU cooler clearance - you couldnt fit big CPU coolers like Dark Rock 3/4 or Pro 3/4, or Noctua NHD-15 or many others. I think it was really not cool to name the case Air and have basicly no option for good aircooling.
Tandem or ALTERNATE PSU mounting locations. You just finished talking about alternate mounting methods. If you flip the case over, you may not want the PSU mounted on the top, making the case top heavy. So you have a way of moving the PSU to the alternate location to make it bottom mounted.
Right until now the O11 Mini hit the sweet spot for me in terms of features, visuals and form factor. They shortened the air mini a tad too much for my plans and I wasn't really sure what to get. Now I think I'm sold on the EVO.
@@N7_Ronnie I really lik the mini, but had they gone for full atx psu support I'd never doubted that choice. But the EVO now brings so much extra while keeping the stout look, they hit it out of the park for me. :)
@@FastSloth87 yeah, but I was talking about the regular mini, not the air mini there. It's a really odd one with the mini and air mini. They reduced the height and depth of the air mini even further and that prevents me from using the air mini, since it's become too small for my planned build. But when I'm allready locked in to something a bit larger I might go for the EVO directly since it's closer to the stout look of the mini and air mini thans to the extra width but delivers more space and options than the regular O11
"because it's the thing that you look at all the time" I legitimately bought a Phanteks P500A with the flashenblinken for my hardware, which was and still is placed not only outside of my room, but on another floor, where I don't look at it unless I have to go do something to it. I admired its lights for a little while and fiddled with them briefly (after spending most of my build time figuring out the wiring since there were some routing/length issues with my new ARGB AIO as well) and then disabled all of the lights. I got it mostly for its utility rather than its looks, and boy howdy do I enjoy its utility.
I put a aorus z390 extreme in my o11 and i dont think it looks bad at all. The only thing i dont like is that the front panel usb sticks out over my fans. But other that that the over hang just covers the grommets for the cables and adds the lighting from the board there. Think it makes it look better imo.
I bought a new Lian mesh case a couple years ago. never got to use it, threw it out. The box it came in showed No damage on it. but the case it's self was Twisted and warped bad, doors would not shut at all, glass was okay. That meant no more purchases of lian for me. I could not afford to return as shipping from canada to usa was to expensive
here I am gearing up to build my dream machine and purely by accident I stumble upon this video and what case did I choose for my machine well this one and you have just dispelled the last lingering questions about my case which arrives tomorrow ... thank you for the timely input now I need to order some accessories that I never knew existed til now awsome ...!
I'm building my Second PC and am using that same case, i can see why they are so popular, I believe they have a bigger version of that case as well now.. So Far I'm loving all the gromets and cable running options on it.. If I can recommend a video to do, If you haven't done one on the subject, ( I'm new to the Channel), and that would be all the extra cables needed to do a build, I just had to order a USB 2.0 Multi Header plug to finish my build.. Love the Channel...
Regarding the upright mount, I'd put in a triple fan set up, but have the bottom fan act as a exhaust rather than an intake. Two fans blowing directly on the card, and the 3rd (which is in-line with the cards exhaust) pulling air out.
Jay, with that Upright GPU Mount, the fans on the GPU themselves are set to exhaust of that side correct ? Would the bracket provided be able to spin 180 ? Putting the GPU fans in a position to suck air from that side as an intake ? This is also assuming I would get an aftermarket PCIe 4.0 Riser Cable with a 90 Degree fitting after rotation.
Great case. Unfortunately, the Harbor Gray was sold out, so went with black. This case makes the build so easy. Used Lian Li AL120 Unifans, installed the fan controller, which the case RGB plugs into; EK 011D Side Distroplate; 2 EK PE360 radiators, and voila, everything is neat, clean, and cool. I agree with Jay, the cable channel is a definite plus. I have both regular 011D and an 011D XL builds and in each I've got the cables crammed in and bulging, since I'm running so much stuff. This case, everything fits behind the shroud. Also love the mesh top and side panels, which seem to help airflow, over the prior 011D slotted panels. If you can't easily build a great system with this case...give up!
I hope we get better distro blocks for the front panel as well. Currently, the one by EK has the pump in a bad spot that blocks the placement of fans on the side. When going all out with a 360 top, bottom, and side all with fans; I don't think there is a suitable front distro block (maybe one with a massive logo in it, but that's also a no-go for me).
Love the case, Lian Li cases are brilliant. Could the vertical GPU be more central, towards the side big glass? Giving more room for cables and liquid cooling. Does the case support chimney orientation? That would solve a lot of the issues.
I just received my evo case, loved the modularity of it when I watched the video. Disappointed that there aren't many places in the UK to get the extras, but did manage to grab the front mesh kit and my first of many 3 pack kit of the uni fans. Time to get rid of the Corsair 780t that my build is currently in. A huge thanks to you Jay as you are the content creator I watch most for up to date ideas and advice on which hardware to look for and which to avoid 🤘🏻
really tempted to consider this, but don't wanna give up the lancool 215 either, the airflow is just superb in that along with the dust filters. will totally wanna get this if going to water cool the entire system.
The case is really nice but not for me. While you can fit an EATX motherboard in it ok, it looks dodgy because of the overhang. But with most boards being ATX it is nice for sure.
This will be the case I do for my bedroom. Been looking and haven't found a case that caught my eye until now. My main pc is upstairs in the gaming room way to big to fit in the bedroom (sth10). And this case brings me back to caselabs days.
Think what might be that 1 step better would be to have magnets holding down the front mesh fan brackets. So that peeps could line their fans up in the middle or to the sides etc. (however unsure how vibrations might travel through magnets
I like that you can change the location of the USB and headphone ports. One of the most annoying things about cases for me is that you can never change where they are
I know this video is now 2 years old or older; but......
Thank you, Jay for this video!!! I spent many hours researching AM5 parts and researching reviews of the needed components. The case was a component I couldn't make up my mind on.
Or simply make the mesh version the default and make the glass an option. By doing that, they might actually be able to reduce the base price of the case.

of course you don't mind, you have more money than you can handle responsibly.
They definitely have put in the work making this case, great customization. Way to go, Lian Li and Roman.

Not really, it's overrated. I can point a flaw with it right now why would you put a power supply behind a hot cpu socket.
@@kevinerbs2778 The power supply can be mounted at the bottom which is below the CPU socket where its cooler.
My mans typed genesis
every chase unboxing, "you should do build in that".
@@samson_the_great Lmao I got carried away
yea it needs to have an option for the top front or front top for the ports.
I love this case already because of the modularity. The inverted layout is a game changer for me because of my current set up.
Ok now this version, I want - so much room for activities now, and would be more fun to mod. Also love that Gunmetal color, I think it would look great with a white frame with the Gun Metal panels.
No power tools!
I'm gonna put my balls on this case
@@WaylanderWOR Where are you going??? i'M GONNA PUT MY NUT SACK ON YOUR DRUM SET!!! LMAO
This case is blowing my mind. Would definitely choose this as my next case as I need something better to cool my graphics card. So much customization!
This is scam. Please don't fall for this
@@batman_ara nah if someone falls for it I won't be sympathetic
@@batman_arawhy is it a scam?
i'm not usually one for hype trains because i usually find things are OVER-hyped but jesus christ there is so much to this case to love, there were multiple parts of the video where i out loud was like "ohhhh, that's really cool" so honestly i'm sold on it. like, who thinks of ALL of those features and then ACTUALLY puts them into their design?????
This review and this case deserved the latest update with UA-cam. Not having the dislikes being shown.
This case and Lian Li doesn't deserve any dislike.
Looking forward having this case
If only Microsoft would listen to their customers like Lian Li does it would be a better computer experience.
People always say stuff like this, but never give a single specific. Keep in mind that anyone watching this channel, or Linus, or PC Jesus... you're a niche market. The general public doesn't like what we like. It's why operating systems have been going more towards phone/tablet type interface.
@@LBCAndrew maybe I'm wrong, but in my opinion saying it is a niche market is a tiny bit strong.
@@staLkerhu how many people do you think buy 200-300usd pc case?
@@clarkkent6054 sorry, maybe I misunderstood the gentleman, I thought he is speaking about DIY PC builders in general...
I'd be really tempted to use this as my next case if I was doing a new build. The inverted layout is awesome.
Thank you so much Jay for making this excellent video. As always, your videos are tremendously helpful.
Please note that there is a small screw on top of the glass side panel that Jay easily removes at 6:35. If that screw is not removed, then the glass side panel will not come off.
You’re a chad for helping me lmao
Has actually made me consider replacing my current 011 dynamic for this one, the options and flexibility are unreal
It's a great case all around and the mesh front option makes it an option for those who aren't wanting to set up a showpiece PC. I still think they could at least include some fans at that price, but whatever.
Description links wont work for me,did you happen to have it?
They absolutely killed it on this case. Definitely do a build in it!
6:13 I actually didn't even realise this when building my computer, I just took off my dust filter for my exhaust side with my O11 and it runs instantly cooler. could you guys maybe do like top 10 tips people overlook when building a computer? you guys are legends!
I don’t even put the cover back on the top for that same reason.
@@official_commanderhale965 another good idea for the summer!
something like this really depends on the hardware you own and if you case has a good airflow around it.
Phenomenal design, can't believe they continue to make an already great case even better.
isn't O11 Dynamic XL better?
The inverted possibility is very smart for streamers who have two PCs and want matching builds for the left and right sides of their Desks
This is a really good Point, Even for work and Gaming machines Having at Home at one desk. Thanks! 😀
I need to see a build in this Jay water cooled the works, it would be awesome to see how many water cooled variations you can get out of it
It’s crazy how familiar you are with case design and function. You made this a great dive into this specific case, and system building. Really great video (that could have been a boring review)
Agree totally, I feel I came for Jay's 2c and got five bucks worth! Excellent vid!
I also just got a new case for better airflow im goinv to wait a few more years before i go for a Case like this lol Looks awesome
One of my favorite looking cases. Thinking about getting one for my sons first build
Really like the upright GPU mount, fills in that dead space for air-cooled rigs.
Never clicked off of porn so fast
For aesthetics make the upright GPU bracket screws area slidable to position the GPU centrally between the motherboard and the front of the case. This would also provide space and give the ability to connect cables to all motherboard sizes.
Hey Jay. I'm building my first ever computer at 76 years old and this is the case that I've decided to go with simply because of your excellent review. It has the space and adaptability/flexibility to provide me with the confidence to have a go. The only concerns so far are the connections to fans and ARGB. But I will get there.
Hey man, hope you have a blast building your first computer, it's a really awesome experience. do post the pictures somewhere so we can see it
This video got (and left) me wondering: Can you mix and match?
I'd never heard of a "robit" before, so I looked it up and it's actually pretty neat.
I don't really want too much glass on my case, it makes me feel like I have to be fragile with it. I do like that case you showed it looks sweet!
I have this case, I bought it a few months ago. The small glass front panel should have an option for non glass with 2 intake fans. Cheers.
@JayzTwoCents at 06:00 you mentioned it is fine that the top does not have fan filters 'cos it should be an exhaust. But what about positive pressure then? Or positive pressure (and dusts) is not your priority in builds?
Top filter is useful to stop dust from settling into the case when it is turned off
Vid blew my mind! I have a high end build w/a C700m case & this reminds of that in customizability. Just ordered one at a 1/4 of the cost of the CM for my daughters build
They're from the future, the 2 PSU slots are for powering the 900W rtx 4090...
"Fresh Mint Kit" made me laugh out loud a lot more than it should have ahahaha
It's amazing what people can mis-see(?) at a glance LOL
Fantastic video, as always!
I have a dynamic mini and it never felt "mini" to me. It does everything I'd expect a normal case to do. And it looks fantastic.
Now I think I'm sold on the EVO.
i have the 011 mini all white edition i love it but yea think i might go evo for my next build next year i really like this one glad Jay reviewed it
@@N7_Ronnie I really lik the mini, but had they gone for full atx psu support I'd never doubted that choice. But the EVO now brings so much extra while keeping the stout look, they hit it out of the park for me. :)
Same here! I pre-order mine too along with a sfx to atx adapter lol
@@oxyuran5998 The O11 Air Mini has ATX PSU support.
"because it's the thing that you look at all the time"
I legitimately bought a Phanteks P500A with the flashenblinken for my hardware, which was and still is placed not only outside of my room, but on another floor, where I don't look at it unless I have to go do something to it.
Where can I buy this? It seems sold out everywhere
I put a aorus z390 extreme in my o11 and i dont think it looks bad at all. The only thing i dont like is that the front panel usb sticks out over my fans. But other that that the over hang just covers the grommets for the cables and adds the lighting from the board there. Think it makes it look better imo.
I like that the new standard for measuring whether or not a cable channel is adequate is whether Jay can fist it.
Mounting for a fan on the rear vent was something I wish the original O11 had, glad to see they added it.
THe 011 Dynamic XL was my absolutely favorit case. So much space, so simple and sleek.
The optional add-ons are great, the downside is that at least in Canada, they aren't that available and are quite expensive.
J looking tuff them biceps looking jacked
I'm building my Second PC and am using that same case, i can see why they are so popular, I believe they have a bigger version of that case as well now.. So Far I'm loving all the gromets and cable running options on it.. If I can recommend a video to do, If you haven't done one on the subject, ( I'm new to the Channel), and that would be all the extra cables needed to do a build, I just had to order a USB 2.0 Multi Header plug to finish my build.. Love the Channel...
Jay for the vertical GPU mount you could just install the fan to push out. So 2 fans in one fan out.
i LOVE that verticle mount for the gpu. not only a cool/unique look but helps with cable management hiding and stuff
I swear they do not make these cases anymore, everywhere I look and I mean everywhere is not available
So glad I pre-ordered mine early. Looks like Newegg doesn't have anymore for pre-order.
I am just waiting for this to be in stock. Cant wait to build in it!
Did Jay ever do a build with this case? I can't see it for looking
Usually doesn’t do a build
The difference between Jay and Steve is that Steve will be drinking when he's done, Jay gets started a little early.
I like that you can change the location of the USB and headphone ports. One of the most annoying things about cases for me is that you can never change where they are
I've done soft tubing and hard tubing on my own rigs but the loops were very difficult to bleed and flush and likely not optimised
