Love the video guys you can save lots if people out their pounds in garage bills me and my late father worked together buying selling cheap cars putting m.o.t cheap cats sell well this is a great chanel your videos just end to quick Phil in stoke
Thanks Phil, thanks again for the support. Me and Charlie love doing the cars, maybe one day we can do it more full time and put out 2 or 3 videos a week.
Ive had it for years and i cant actually find the same one for sale anywhere. We have a video coming up with a new one we have and it does everything so ill be sharing a link for that.
Another good video lads, I bought a e46 320d 2004 for £300 it had a few lights on the dash and no speedo and few nocks and bangs a couple of abs sensors on the rear a couple of drop links on the front and a rear shock top mount and it flew its mot I did all the work myself on my drive. I used the car for a few months clocked up over 3000 miles and sold it for £1000 I had over £500 profit and 3 months free motoring. I've just bought a 59 plate i10 up for £500 put discs and pads on the front pads on the rear and un seized the handbrake mechanism on the caliper and it passed its mot I'll use it now for a few months then it will be sold lol
That's the way to do it mate, we love saving the cheap ones. This Audi only owes us £500 and i've done over 5000 miles in it now but we may decide to keep this one.
Someone else told me that too, I’m doing some research to try and confirm what it is before we sell it. I have the invoices from Audi for painting and fitting it but it doesn’t say what type it is.
@@HomeBuilt I had a 2004 A4 b6 Avant in Misano Red one of the first S line Audi brought out , I was in the A4B6 owner club on fb I don’t think it’s running anymore, and that is Definitely a vortex body kit , quite sort after
Misano red is a cool colour. Hopefully the kit and the newer style Aline wheels will be a selling point for us. It stands out from the other A4’s I’ve seen in this year.
That was just a cheap ebay one, its not the best. We use the Topdon AD800BT now and it does full system diagnistics for all vehicles, most of our newer videos have a link to it if you fancy a nosey at it. Thanks for watching.
Just discovered your channel after seeing the 2 of you at chops, new subscriber here, particularly interested in your A4 video's after recently buying an A3 with a couple of issues which I've fixed apart from passenger airbag short to ground and it's given me inspiration to finally try and fix it 👍
Awesome, get stuck into it. Audis suffer from bad connectors and broken wires near the plugs so check them first, you don't normally see faulty bags so next is checking the crash sensors that correlate to the airbag you are having the fault with. Good Luck.
@@HomeBuilt well that was a simple fix which turned out to be something unrelated (or at least I thought) the heater panel had recently been replaced before I bought the car and since owning the car the stop/start and traction control buttons did nothing so I pulled the stereo etc out to gain access to the rear of the switch panels and low and behold, the plug for the above mentioned were unplugged, plugged it in and I now have those functions back. I cleared the airbag code and voilà, airbag light has stayed off 🤷🏻♂️
😂 cool, I’ve had a few messages about that. I’m glad it’s helping people. I was fortunate that my mentor was very old school and taught me loads of stuff that you don’t see people doing nowadays, hopefully I can help loads more people through the channel.
Nice old Audi look forward to home build guys doing there work on did you get rid of the wee combo look forward to seeing ur video on the diagnosis tools what make are both tools .. good luck to you and the family best wishes Greg
Nothing galvanised in this period, I can remember the exact date range but it was across the whole VAG range and it’s something to do with the inner wheel liners trapping dirt and rubbing on the inside.
Here via Chops recommendation, enjoying what you do 👍🏼
Awesome, thanks mate. Glad to have you here.

So far this one seem pretty good 🤞
Thanks again for watching.
Great video boys
Thank you, starting to get a bit more at ease around the camera, still feels weird after a year of making videos.
The B6 Audi was a pretty cool car. Is still a good one now
We like it and it drives great! We are thinking about keeping this one for our collection 😂
Have you got a link to the diagnosis tool?
Ive had it for years and i cant actually find the same one for sale anywhere.

I’m sure that body kit was called a vortex body kit

Good electrical fault finding - we need more content like this. Great stuff.
Thanks Michael, we have done a few like this. You will enjoy the Citroen C4 quick fix video.

Yeh the Combo is gone so we could get the 2 Audi's
The tools are just cheap ebay ones i picked up a few years ago.
Look ok mate best wishes to you and the family
Looking forward to the next one 👍
Thanks Tim
Why are the front wings so rusty, I thought they were galvanised?
Nothing galvanised in this period, I can remember the exact date range but it was across the whole VAG range and it’s something to do with the inner wheel liners trapping dirt and rubbing on the inside.
@@HomeBuilt I noticed a few Golfs of that age with rusty front wings just like that
Its very common
That was quick fault finding mate and your right some of the codes will be because the car had a flat battery great video look forward to more 👍
Thanks Dennis, Luckily they were pretty easy to diagnose, not always that easy 😂
Loved a b6 a4 back in the day,cracking cars 👍
I actually really like it and it drives amazing. Thinking about keeping this one 😂
@@HomeBuilt no you won’t keep it 😅
can't wait to see the awesome flip next!
Thanks for dropping a comment. The next one will be awesome.
Love the video guys!!!!! 👍
Great content looking forward to the next one.
Cheers Sophie
Nice job guys, the joys of fault finding.good you got most of it sorted and not to much of a pain to find.
