an interesting thing to add potentially is give the big monsters some dialogue! itll give them a bit of personality. when you catch them and ride around, they could every once in a while say little comments like oof that was tough! or they could be arrogant, etc. I think it would be a cute addition!
Snodo is just so fluffy and stupid, easily one of my favorites! Overall very lovely Progress. All the additions and ideas for changes seem like smart things to do^^
i think you could make the dungeon enterance drawings a lot bigger, like a big epic dungeon enterance that fills the upper part of the screen. because when its this small it feels like a non important npc hut or something like that (or it looks like its bigger on the inside)
If you are planning an end game boss like situation you should make them an old ranger than got insane because they never got out of the zone that they were researching, they could also have a lot of variations of the mount attack.
Love to see the progress. It's becoming such a polished, ridiculously professional-looking game. My only thought was that using the _same_ element for 'super effective' vitament explosions is going to take some serious getting used to. I see exactly why you've done it, for simplicity's sake, but it's still gonna cause some weird dissonance in my head, I think. But y'know what? I'll deal!

In my opinion one of the most engaging ways to play a game is to have to constantly think on your feet. Right now I see that a little bit in this game but not really. This game is stuck in pokemon fights. Its pokemon because you have your monster which you can spend quite a lot of time with fighting and working together with you to defeat other monsters but this becomes boring since you really only need one monster. This is kind of remedied by the stamina system forcing you to change mounts every once in a while but it barely helps. My preference for this game is for it to abandon pokemon side altogether and have chaos battles. You should constantly have to change mounts and use the environment to help you. Here are a couple of my ideas to implement this. Stamina constantly drains while shooting. The lasso works much better after getting knocked off you mount for a couple seconds. Golden Monsters that are much more powerful than normal enemies but knock you off much quicker and stay around after you dismount them but as a non golden monster.
Omg this is going to be my second favorite game after Hollow Knight, I really love Metroidvanias and unique mechanics in rogue likes but be very careful in mixing this two genres...
Maybe add a perk which simply increases you t stamina? It's not to complex or interesting but seems like it would be nice to ride your mounts for longer, maybe make it more like they can regenerate energy when moving between patches.
Depending on the size of the monster you capture it will have more stamina, and in the private beta there is a perk that gives you 10 stamina when you eat fruit. And there is a new function for samples that make it so when you eat planted samples you regain even more stamina. So in terms of stamina the game is pretty well balanced right now.
Im always looking forward to you Devlogs! With the reskin of the chameleon I expected an "evolution" up of enemies like in Pokemon. Would also be a cool idea to make the late-game more challenging!

Might be a strange request, but I would like some zelda-esc puzzles into this game.... It just seems like a rouge-like must have in my opinion, so I would love to see it here. Also random idea, maybe enemies will spawn with a "bravery" bar, and enemies without much bravery will hide behind terrain sometimes, or maybe some bigger rooms with more obstacles to add more variety, and for enemies to hide behind. This also means that enemies with a lot of bravery will be more aggressive, so u will need to kill them first. This means that no matter what there will be variety in rooms u might have already seen, and incounters will force u to change playstyle according
Idea "super rope" allow you to have a extra mount that would follow you around dealing damage depending on the mount it would use one of its abilities at random besides defense ones and can be damage by other monster and have a set hp and once it dies you can't get a new mount for a 30 seconds

I watch a lot of indie dev logs but I must say yours are 100% my favorite. They’re a monthly treat.

Get the ailment that makes you shock enemies when touched (Static) Then destroy all the electric monsters with vitaments
You monster you blew up all of the electric types
You could make a hard mode for the game with more complex enemy patterns
