To answer your Q: Yes, Ideas Unbound has been played in a modern Dredge deck to a Top 8 finish in a 140 player Mythic Championship Qualifier back in 2019
I guess dredge was just red for looting/cathartic reunion for so long that nobody really considered playing ideas unbound. I think i'd seen it in some kind of arcane twiddle storm brew before, but I didn't really connect the dots on that being a really nice dredge card
Love to see modern dredge. I think there are multiple ways to build ot nowadays. I'd have started trying to abuse flare of denial and maybe even negation too in the MD with crabs, that adventure mill creature, etc. That said i have 0 dredge exp, just looks like a potent path

Going turbo dredge might be the all in into a transfomational side, also a line that oath players do innlegacy is mill all deck then usea a card that its flashback shuffles 4 cards into might be good cause uou can just shoufle the chills a do then all again , it gives you also 4 extra draws if needed
Watching your opponent lose match 1, because they didn't Endurance themselves in response to Cephalid Coliseum was great. They had 27 cards in hand and you know they had at least 2 in the deck from game 2 so I don't know what they were thinking.
It seems like it was tested at some point, but never a popular choice. I never saw that card in Modern before this deck, though. It's always great to rediscover blasts from the past.

That's great! I imagine that Ideas Unbound was not a popular choice in builds with Ox, though. In this Sultai build, it always feels great.

I believe the cutoff is 8th edition. Basically anything with a new border is modern legal.
You're right! I wasn't sure if it was legal because I've never seen Ideas Unbound played in Modern, only in Legacy (usually in Doomsday).
