  • Classical Pianist Opeth Harlequin Forest Reaction
Today I will be reacting to Opeth a Fair Judgement. I know that a lot of you guys love Opeth and some of you have recommended Opeth Harlequin Forest to react to. Opeth Harlequin Forest piano parts are not present or intentional like the other songs. Also, Opeth Harlequin Forest acoustic parts give a nice feeling at every minute leaving you wanting more. You can hear and enjoy a lot of Opeth Harlequin Forest acoustic instrumental parts as well.
Opeth Harlequin Forest lyrics can be found online or even here on youtube if you want to read while you listen to the track. Also, this is not an OpethOpeth Harlequin Forest, only a recorded mastered track. Enjoy A Fair Judgement Reaction!

I always felt this is the best song to introduce someone who's new to this type of music.

You can tell you love the sound of Opeth. Can see it by your facial expressions.

Mikael Åkerfeldt has no formal music theory education, and seeing as he's the primary songwriter it shows, since their music is pretty much through-composed.
Yes, sections repeat, but often in different contexts, so it never really achieves the same feeling you get on something with a more standard form.
His lack of formal education is also why the are so many unorthodox harmonic choices in his songwriting. It's idiosyncratic, and it sounds great. And nobody else sounds like Opeth.

That makes a lot sense. I think his folklore influences can be heard in his music.

@@PJAlphaMusic absolutely! He even jokes about how while recording an early album they brought a lute to the studio, but nobody in the band knew how to play it, so it never went anywhere :)

The live version of Ghost of Perdition (Red Rock) has a decent amount of YT views. Can't go wrong with that.

I'm not looking to put anything high quality together, I'm just hoping to either find an existing band in need of new riffs, or a reasonably easy computer program to learn on. Do you have any suggestions

@@PJAlphaMusic Just like Opeth, they have evolved in a similar style over the years. At first they were very dark and growly(with Michael/Opeth) ,now much heavier but also very calm. Great band it is.
