I literally purchased this PCS this morning. This video was perfectly timed. First lesson I learned was to not put an ice cold beverage on the beautiful cast iron surface.

The absolute "OOF" when you set that beer on the cast iron top was amazing. Great saw. Try not to ruin your cast iron top. LOL.

I'll be getting my new Saw Stop 1.75 professional in a week and have been concerned about unboxing and setting up. This video has been VERY helpful, thanks.

The yellow plastic piece that you attached the brake adjustment tool to is actually the feeler gauge to set the brake/blade spacing. It was right there in the manual, clearly visible for the whole time you were messing around with yu gi oh cards and the HFT inside track club card. RTFM, dude! That saw is too complex (and dangerous) to be free styling the assembly and adjustment process. And, as mentioned by numerous commentators, keep your drinks off the table surface, and periodically wax the top. Otherwise you'll soon have a $3000+, pile of rust. Sheesh.

I doubt that stamped steel wings would make the Contractors saw garbage. I'd like to be able to afford it.
It's cool how you involved your daughter in the build!

Why didn’t you use the yellow triangle as a gauge?

I’m stuck on the switch box too. I can’t get the right side screw all the way in. I can do it without the switch box (just to see if the hole was OK) but when I go through the hour long process of putting it on, I end up about 5 rotations of the screw being all the way in. Also, what hex wrench are you referring to with the text you added to the video? I have the 4 they included with the saw, should there be an extra longer one too?

There should be one on the right hand side of the screw package

i guess im the oddball,,i just got the same saw,,,and i hate it,,,too heavy and the holes assembling it did not line up,,,the only reason i bought it was for the safety feature,,,,but other than that i had rather have my delta 36-725 that i bought at lowes and sold to buy this overpriced beast

Wow, you must be one of the extremely rare folks that hates their SawStop!!! They do sell a mobile base u know?? And from what I’ve seen and heard, the quality of saw is quite nice. Ever figure out the holes…….they still not aligned?

Should be titled "Watch a Millennial Assemble a SAWSTOP PCS 175". Brand new table saw of a life time for most of us! Geez...I wonder how many rusted beer can rings are on the gorgeous cast iron top by now. Thankfully the safety features will leave him at least one finger for the pull ring on the next beer can. Couldn't even finish watching the video. Just pathetic!

You're one bitter old man! Why do you need to hate on this kid for getting a nice saw? Just because he has one doesn't mean you can't. Don't be a baby. I'll admit the switch box mounting bit was embarrassing to watch, though. :D He really should have cut that part out.
