great work mate, walking us through every step of a finished printed design gives people a great idea from concept to finished working print and all the learning steps along the way, Cheers
Really cool and great video! Have you thought about using a 3030 aluminum extrusion as the base? That could probably make it a whole lot stiffer. Or even 3060.
Thanks for watching! I have not, but that would be an excellent idea for future designs. Right now, I'm exploring the capabilities of 3D printed designs. But your feedback could very well be featured in a future video!
Design and trigger is really nice. But the poundage of it seemed to be very very low. Nice prototype what so ever, did you plan a shorter construction with regular crossbow limbs?
Yes, I have a few different design ideas in mind for future prototypes. I just haven't had the time to start working on them, but I will soon enough. Thank you for your feedback!
The riser I would recommend PLA+ and up the infill to at least 60% to get the breaking under control(25% is way too low imo). Obviously if you did 100% infill it would be sturdy and last quite a long time but I realize 1) it’s a prototype,2) it will cost more and 3) it’ll take significantly more time to print. For the next idea (bearing my suggestions in mind) you could more than likely make a riser with a 4 arm cavity for more ft./lbs. good Kobe either way bro.
Thanks for the tips bro! Yeah I was thinking of a 4 arm riser for the 2nd version of the design as well! We'll see soon enough! I appreciate the support 💯
This is pretty awesome ive printed some of the other ones available online one suggestion I would make is if you look at the slingshot rifle you might modify the riser and make accept flat bands they shoot faster and are available in different thicknesses for more power and speed but definitely subbed and following also if you're set on crossbow limbs id check out backyardbowyer and his pvc bow designs you could massively upgrade the power that way
Thank you, those are some great suggestions. I'll definitely take note of these suggestions for the next version. I appreciate your feedback, thanks for watching! 👍🏾
@@thetinkerpro there are hunting slingshots, that use awesome latex, not tubes, flat bands, there are also slingbows! or search for the adderini crossbow for example
incase the bands inside the rail with rollers, this will be a slender design and allow more and safer tension, if something breaks, its all internal so you arent getting slapped lol
Its cool to see black engineers, keep up the, good work 👍🏿
Thank you! I have more content on the way.
Incredible! STL maybe?

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Great vid from a great designer!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Be on the lookout for more content to come!
Very cool.
Thank you!
Woww amazing my brother 💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks bro 💯
Good job
Nice. Looking forward to the second version.
Super dope!
It looks very cool🤩. ill be waiting the v2 or v3 crossbow in the future🤑. greetings from Chile 😎
Thank you, greetings 🙏🏾
DUDE! That's so much work! Im subbed now. I loved the organic "and that's a kill" at the end.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!
cool
Thanks 👍🏾

Would love to get my hands on the 3D files for this
The files will be available in the future
good job there tinker, was interesting to watch, how your developed and progressed 👍

Good job either way*
Make a riser with a 4 arm capacity*

next make an crossbow like in the movie "lady hawk" with two shots.
I've never seen "lady hawk," but I'll check it out!
Which 3D printer did you use?
I used the Prusa MK3S+
Love that bro! Can you upload the STL on printables or so?
Thank you for the feedback! Once I get started on the second version I'll likely release the STLs.
Would love to have the.stl files for this. Looks awesome!
Thank you!
What's the software you used to design the 3d model?
Solidworks
hiya guys, i got an acer chromebook, any idea what 3d printers and software i need, that works with it?
I recommend "The Original Prusa MK3S+" and in terms of software I'd go with Fusion 360. Fusion is free and it's interface is just fun to work with.
You should make more videos
I'm working on it. I haven't found my flow yet but I'll have more for you to see soon!
@@thetinkerpro you'll get it, I'll be watching out for your next video
@@jkrules4161 Thank you, I appreciate the support! 👍
I wold love to help out with the development of this if you’re interested. Subscribed so I don’t miss out on your future videos.
Thanks for watching! I'll keep you in mind when I start the second version.
Look forward to it
Can i build this if i live in Brazil
I don't see why not. 🤔

@@thetinkerpro no problem at all im not good at the 3d design aspect of things yet to do stuff like this but I hope to get better at it
As long as you want to get better, you are already on the path to getting better my friend. Keep working hard.
is there anywhere I can download the files
Sorry, the files aren't available for download at this time.
is your website down
.
No, why do you ask?
can you please share the stl
Stl files will be shared in the future my friend, please bare with me 👍🏾
Hello! Is your copy of solid works licensed?
Hello, yes it is.
ud better use latex mate
Latex huh? 🤔
@@thetinkerpro there are hunting slingshots, that use awesome latex, not tubes, flat bands, there are also slingbows! or search for the adderini crossbow for example
Cocking ?
Cocking, yes pulling back the therma band to prep for a shot. There are more technical terms for this action, I am sure, but I chose cocking.
@@thetinkerpro I thought it meant beating the meat 🍖 🤣🤣🤣😭🤦🏿♂️
Lmao, I don't know. I hope not. That's not what I was intending to say 🤣😅 and now my response is 5 months late 🤦🏾♂️🥴...

Not a bad idea, thank you! 👍🏾
