I agree with your sister 100%. I moved to the Lecce province in January 2020, just before COVID. Although, it was a terrible period in time, I felt much safer in Lecce than I think I would’ve if I were still in Long Beach. Being a Gay man of color, I found the people in the Lecce province to be some of the friendliest people that I have ever been around. I have even found a partner here and we have been together about 3 years, which is the longest time I have ever been with anyone. I even feel well integrated with his family. I’m happy that you are highlighting the area where I now call my home. ❤
@@jamesstewart59 God bless you.
Thanks for sharing your experience James!
Congratulations!!! I'm happy that you found love and enjoying Italy
He's lucky she's beautiful and has a lovely energy- black women work hard in relationships (b/c we are used to just keep going and fix the problem!) I wish them the very best.
Thanks to you and your sister for sharing her story. My husband keeps telling me we should move to Italy after he retires from the army. We currently live in northern Italy.
I am so happy for your sister to meet and marry a good man.God Bless them both and you and your family and Mother and Dad.❤❤
This video has really motivated me to eventually move...I had been to Italy before... I was visiting for 3 months with my boyfriend at the time who was born and raised in Italy...we met in Ohio where we both lived...I was thinking about Mexico...Eygpt but have been drawn to Italy more and more...I have always loved it there...I'm an older Adult so I think Italy would work for me
Sounds like her parents raised her very well. Great insights! Congratulations to her 🎊 🎉.
Italy is a gorgeous country with so much to offer, beauty, culture, strong family unit, fresh food, art, music, very friendly and so much history. I can understand why Faith decided to move there especially since she met a loving Italian man and his family. A slower pace, more wholesome, kinder existence and I can also understand why her parents retired there, it's just such a different environment so peaceful. So happy this channel came up, I have also had my family subscribe! Thank yo for taking us on this Italian journey with you, it's like being with family. Wishing this beautiful family all the very best. Salute!!!
Faith is lovely, well-spoken and smart, and she is definitely not living the typical experience because SHE is not typical. Great video and I loved her story and your questions.
You must be white. What do you mean by typical?
Thank you, and thanks for watching the video!
Beautiful story…she really had a great support system there waiting on her in Italy, her parents have a home there. Most ppl are not that blessed with a head start. Blessings to her 💕and her family.
I know it to be a loquat fruit. Kumquat is like a miniature orange
Awesome story you said it right.❤ congratulations to your sister and her husband 🫶💐💐🥂🎂
I lived at the base of the mountains in San Bernardino until fire almost destroyed my home. My plan is to move to Europe in the next few years so this is a nice nod that it's good plan.
Thanks for sharing your story and watching! I wish you the best with your move as well.
I also found my wife in Italy and been living here for several years haven't been back to the U.S. yet
As an elderly women of 71 married 52 years to same man, a Dad who was my pastor as yours, of the Cogic faith!!! It was so refreshing to hear your interview with your sister convey her stance on man and women! "He that findeth a wife" makes the difference! My son who is divorced and living in Houston said it's so scary out here trying to find a women because they aren't allowing him to approach her...this is why he keeps looking and leave them standing on the streets! Our American society has told women to take charge of what God ordained for our strong men to do! All of my 13 siblings 3 boys and 10 girls...7 girls were married, knew our place and were blessed to get husbands, that remained with each of the 7 girls until death! We all lived long years, stayed married long years to our spouses over 52 and 60 plus years as our parents of 70 plus years!!!!! We must allow a man to do his job!!!! If we did not find him to our liking we played no games and told them! I love your sister's mind and her inspiring words that can offer our younger generations of girls some hope!!!! Particularly our black ladies... to hopefully, be a little shamefaced to advance upon a man when he is not even looking for you...that's why they get with you and continue to look! Enjoying the video more ways than one...sight seeing and preach word from your sista😁🙌👋 Amen!
❤❤ 👏👏
Lovely channel. Glad i found it. Was in Italy last summer with my kids (HS graduation gift for one) and sister for about 10 days, we had a great time. 2nd time in Italy. Your video just made me think again about my desire to have a good quality of life. Living in America can be a rat race! Keep telling my hubby we need to rethink our later years. I can't wait to see your other videos.
CI grew up in Brooklyn but had family in Riverside : Perris, Nuevo, Hemet, and Banning; San Bernadino: Colton, Big Bear Mountain, and Anaheim.
Faith is enjoying Italy. She lives in Puglia, perhaps by Bari. I am Sicilian, but the dialects are similar.
Your sister is lovely and seems to really appreciate life in Europe. I will say, to anyone, especially Americans who move to Europe, learn the language of that country. It is respectful of the people, culture and history of that country. You won’t be a part of the local community if you don’t speak the language, and your life will be harder than it needs to be. Yes, it will be harder to find a job in countries in Southern Europe if you don’t speak the language, well…because you aren’t in an English speaking country. Many Americans expect immigrants to speak English, so the same goes for Americans or any foreigner who moves to Europe.
I agree! My sister attended a language school in Italy and she is almost fluent in Italian and she is now learning German.
@@bentravelstv That is great! 👍🏻
Faith, as the name suggests, was busy living so no doubt Her faith would make Her whole! 😍
I stumbled upon your channel as I was looking at expat videos. I am looking at going to Panama City, Panama. The content I have enjoyed on your channel has been spectacular. As an African American woman your sister's story is so inspiring, and it gives me hope. I am so thrilled to view your content! I live along the east coast Wash DC area is my home. But, I am starting to look outside of the US to where the next chapter of my life may take me.
Im from Panama. It is an awsome place. I live in Southern Italy now, but plan on moving back to Panama.
Hello and thank you for watching the video and I am glad that this video was able to help you on your journey. I wish you the best as well on your search.
@@reginapolo3357 Oh Wow...talk about Karma...thanks for your comment.
@@bentravelstv I can't wait to see the video of your brother-in-law cooking Sunday dinner! Please let Uncle Ricky know he fits right in with the family!
That fruit is not a cumquat. It's a Loquat. I have both in my garden. The difference between them is the loquat has large brown seeds and sweet while the cumquat is a bitter citrus fruit and not edible imo unless cooked. When it is cut open, the cumquat has the typical star design of citrus fruits.
Thanks for educating me on this, I was so confused lol.
@@bentravelstv Yes it has been domesticated around the Mediterranean, despite being Asian in origin. When I lived in Israel we had a loquat (sheseq in Hebrew) tree with delicious fruit, and they were quite common in Israel, despite being originally native to Southern China.
I’m in OC Ca. Thinking on moving to Italy 🇮🇹 pray 🙏🏼 for me
That food in the pics looks freakin amazing !
Love his videos thank far sharing life living in Italian watching them the USA 🇺🇸
Very nice stories thanks for sharing.
This is awesome!
Those trees (and fruits) at the beginning of the video are definitely Loquats (not Kumquats, which are more like tangerines).
Thank your sister for us… Great information!
Thank you!
Amen god bless you and your lovely family
Love this story it is very enlightening. I look forward to the other video about her wedding 💒. Congratulations to her again 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Hello from upland , Ca
Blessings
Blessings!
Hi from Orlando, FL 🙋🏻♀️ I am new to your channel and loving the interview with your sister. I can tell you dating here is the absolute worst I can relate to what she said because those are the qualities I look for as well, just very hard to find in the US. Puglia looks amazing, I watched the video you did showing your parents home and it’s a beautiful property when you mentioned the price I was in shock, now you have me thinking maybe Puglia should be on my list of places to visit. Thanks for sharing, God bless. 🙏🏼
I have to highly agree Fl Orlando overall Fl is really bad, But hearing from others 50 states the times we are in now it’s really bad in the states for relationships.
Wow!
I really loved hearing the wonderful experiences your sister it having in beautiful southern Italy!😁
Over seas it’s nice to see the culture.
Great story. I wholeheartedly agree with you, that we need to get from where we grown up and explore other areas, countries in the world. My husband and I have lived in the UK and Thailand when we first married, and it exposed me to a lot. We are looking to retire in another country. Every country has their negatives and positives. We all have options and should consider other places for growth, etc…
Awesome ❤❤
Love this. I’m staying tuned. I moved from Ohio to Hawai’i in 2019. Different vibe from the mainland. But not different to this extreme. Might need to put Italy on my bucket list.
Love HI. I would move there in a heartbeat, but it is quite expensive. The last time I visited 2017, there was definitely a drug and homeless problem in Waikiki, which was sad to see. How it has improved.
I love your channel
The fruit are called Nespoli in Italian. They are delicious! Tanti auguri a tua sorella!
"Nespole del Giappone", quite different from standard nespole.
Italy on my way
If you don't mind me askin, how dd they meet in Italy? was it by chance, at school, or on-line dating? Beautiful story, and beautiful couple. Thank you for sharing! Going to Italy in a months time so probably why your video popped up. Oh and that is so true, I dated a guy from Scotland here in America, He had only been here for 7 or 8 months but after like the fourth date was up front with his intentions and found out he was married. He didn't string me along but said I would still like to be with you but can't offer you anything more. haha...but I, of course, left after that. I don't do that, but at least he was up front...🤣 Oh wait, just saw towards end they met at his bakery? Will look out for that video. thanks
Glad you valued yourself
I visited High Desert area in 2009!
She is actually my cuz her father is my uncle and her brother is my cuz also
My Cousin! Hopefully in the near future I will be able to visit you in the UK and vlog it as well! I miss you!
AMAZING 🎉😊🤗✨🌞
Italian men know the real meaning of LOVE. I had one. It's not in the bedroom or other.
Yes...I have dated an Italian man for years ...Very good man...very romantic...very giving
REAL men know the true meaning of love (particularly & especially God-fearing men). ALL races have good & bad men, largely bad due to societal standards/norms/wickedness. Many Italian men, for example, have been known to be cheaters, abusers, aggressive, misogynistic, etc. But that’s obviously not true about ALL of them, just like being good to women isn’t true for ALL of them (again, not even most).
We can love the people of our own races, or others outside of our races; either way, you must use the same common sense, caution, boundaries, & prayer covering for ALL people, especially in close relationships.
🙏🏽❤️
@@jayajaya788if it was great & he was the right man for you, unless he was your husband & passed away, you’d still be together… but I’m guessing neither was the case.
Use same wisdom & prayer for all men- no race of men or women are better than another; we all share the SAME temptations & challenges in this world, unfortunately.
@@memp9786 so true ❤❤ wonderful comment ..
Well I’ll tell ya. Living in Europe for years as a military spouse. My next life I will marry a German or an Italian 😂🙏🏽🙏🏽
The life is EVERYTHING they say. I’m 63 and I wish I were bold enough to take the plunge. Not so much for hubby. But the quality of life far out weigh living here in America. Once you know YOU JUST KNOW. I MISS IT.
Camp Darby is in the Pisa area
Ramstein air base is in the Ktown close to Frankfurt airport area.
Vilest army base is close to Czech border if I can remember.
Also there is a very small base past Munich in Garmisch really near the Austrian border.
The big American edelweiss a hotel is in Garmisch. Very beautiful as all of Germany. They have downsized the bases quite a bit. I’m not sure if they allow civilians to stay but it’s worth a try. It’s EVERYTHING. But you know all this.
Thanks for your videos. Keep them coming.
God bless ya.

Enjoyed this video and your sisters story but to bad she had to leave sunny Italy for gloomy Berlin
I know! She misses the Italian life. Her and Riccardo fly back almost every other month for vacation.
What realtor would you recommend that I use in Puglia, Italy that can help me find an apartment to rent instead of buying? I like more modern instead of older apartments...thinking about visiting...I appreciate any info that you can give
Reach out to me on Instagram messages
You're from my neck of the woods!
Looks like a LOQUAT tree and fruit.
My Italian friends and boyfriend are making me fat!!!and I'm loving every it of it...
The food in Italy is so good!
If my kids and I want to travel there to visit, what is the best airport to fly into and are hotels or Airbnb reasonable?
Rome and Pisa if you are more west or north. If you are heading south, I would fly into Bari or Brindisi.
Tose fruits are nisperos. Locuats in english.
To clarify, you mean south Italy. Italy is one of the G7 and the third economy in Europe. The north is rich but the south is poor. If you want better paid jobs go to Milan.
Correct, German is also amongst the G7 and number one in Europe. I agree the North is richer than the south, and the north has much more opportunities for employment. My brother in law in the video lived and worked in Milan for some years along with his sisters boyfriend who will be featured later in the series.
So if u retire n receive a pension in America do u get it there
Yes
This is opposite to what I have been told. Europeans have told me they think Americans get married too young and very quickly. They usually live together for a long time before getting married. I personally have religious beliefs that one should get married before living together.
I agree!
Happy for her ❤ Please keep in mind she found a GOOD man. I cannot credit the country Italy but credit goes to the man for loving respecting & being loyal to her. I've spent much time in Italy. So much I can say - good & very disturbing stuff. Congrats for finding the wonderful person. Keep in mind going abroad to find a man can end in horror. Just keeping it real. I respectfully disagree with her since my experience in 🇮🇹 was overall racist & disturbing.
Happy for her❣️ may God bless her & family.
Sorry to hear that, and thanks for watching!
@@SalentinonnnI grew up my whole life hearing bad about Sicilians from the Northern Italians, calling them thieves, low life peasants, stupid and ignorant.
Meanwhile my grandfather, from Sicily, was the most intelligent person I've ever known from all the "scholars" in college to those with 5-6 letters after their name..he ran businesses, trained my mate with me, taught me tremendous life lessons and was always there for me, family and friends he loved like brothers.
I wish I could meet someone there. How are the men with children from other relationships?
From my observations, Italy is very family oriented and they love children.
Why are italian men so quick to marry ? Is there something from their culture ?
Theyre real men...they don't play games...they know what they want
Yes it is culture.
@@jayajaya788they do play games 😂😂 so funny .. the French are very similar romantic seemingly very passionate but are known to be cheaters or let's say they have a reputation of philandering .. Latin lovers !! Culture definitely plays a role but there are good men in all cultures ..
Everything clear, but where from Africa come your ancestors from?
Great question! My Father - Lagos, Nigeria (Yoruba) and My Mother - United State of America (Cherokee, Black Feet Nation and Irish)
@@bentravelstv , thank you ❤
I hope the happiness lasts. Italy is not very nice to black people. I experienced life between Lecce and Melpignano. I got tired of being verbally abused by the students on the train. I vowed to never return. Meloni doesn't hide her distain for foreigners, so I definitely would not want to support that.
I'm very happy for you guys.
Sorry to hear about what happened with your experience in Italy. I hope that you are having a much better experience where you are now.
As an estern european in Italy I also have some rejection sometimes ( diffrent than yours maybe) work is not much ,only 50% of women work and foriner are in eldery care ( if you don't know someone who can provide some decent work). There is a lot of poor work and also unemployment ).
So excited to have found your channel. Challenging to find like-minded people stateside. I hope to return abroad within 5 years. I only feel home when away from the states interestingly… military mindset perhaps. What is your Insta handle?
