Thumbs up for the Mavic Air, what a fantastic piece of equipment! :) OFF to Barcelona tomorrow, so no videos for a couple of days, but I'll see you on my Instagram stories (@DroneSupremacy) :) Take it easy guys!
If you are using tripod and cinematic why make the gimbal adjustments in the advanced menu? Do those modes not have an effect on gimbal movement? Or are cinematic and tripod only for drone body movements?
Hey Mike, I have a quick question..is there any particular reason why you never see anyone using their prop guards on the mavic air?? Does it affect handling, or interfere with video or photo? Or maybe affect the battery life?? Just wondering, please keep the beautiful footage and shots coming! Sincerely, Gil!
Hey Gil! I think the biggest reason is because the prop guards are mostly for indoor flying or for occasions where you think you might hit something. I personally never see anyone using them outdoors, but if you're just starting out and you want to feel safer - feel free! They could be very helpful if you bump into an obstacle.
Okay so mike, am reluctant to inform you that i have my like new mavic air with the fly more bundle. I purchased off of a good friend. I really wanted the mp2, but my wife want too excited about the 1500 price tag. Anyway i am still super stoked and cant wait for you and everyone else to see my perspective from the sky. P.s. i am going to set up my own UA-cam page, I am currently using my daughters. So I will be subscribing to yours again.
Sir how to fix lag video of my mavic air photage , bevause everytiime i took video and do some paning movement then the video is suddenly lag i can avoid it but i just need to make slowly moving
great video..love how you slowly explain stuff for us new flyers.. I have had my drone for almost a year but have not tried manual mode and I am going on vacation in to weeks and want to film the waterfalls and the mountains. What ND filter would you recommend. I will be shooting mostly in the very early morning for sunrise shots and later for sunsets but also some afternoon shoots over the lake as we go boating.
Hey hun is yours the one or the 2 I was wondering if there are big and more optimal beneficial differences on the 2 in comparison with the magic air 1 model , Bring the the price difference is almost double lol. Looking to buy me a Mavic air soon 😘
Hey! Great video! 180 degree rule is something else though. It's about keeping your subject in a 180'' angle frame and not move your camera on the other side. I get what you're saying though about doubling the shutter speed against fps.
Hi! Thank you for your great content! Can you help me? I am experiecing some noise in the shadows with my DJI MA! Do you have/ had the same experience with this drone? What can I do to reduce this noise in videos?
Hi great videos, Quick Question at 5:45 the display shows configuration 1,2,3, I cant seem that on mind is there something I have to set to get those configurations?? cheers.
Hi! Amazing video... I have a question, why the shutter speed in my drone doesn't have so many options as yours I only have like fraction values 1/240, 1/200, 1/160... etc. Is it the same?
Yeah those are the same values! If you go to manual camera settings you should be able to set an even longer shutter speed, such as 1,2 or 3 seconds (for long exposure photos)
Hello and thank you for your channel, I really like your presentation and videos, it is really to understand for someone with no big experience flying the drone. I wanted to ask you about your settings recommendations where you suggest a shooting at iso 100 and Shutter at twice as bigger as your frames per seconds... anytime I do that I have all picture EXTREMELY bright, so I am not sure may be I do something wrong. My standard setting at a sunny day are iso 100 Shutter at 1250. and FPS 30/60. while yours are at 50 when you shooting at FPS of 24. Thank you
No that’s exactly how it should be :) but to counter the extremely bright image you need to use an ND filter which will act as sunglasses for you camera. Check out some of my videos about Nd filters and you’ll see what I mean :) good luck!
Hello,I just saw your video but I can't find out shutter settings you propose. All I get is from 6" to 1/8000 I think. Can you help how to find it out? Thanks
Great video! I am gradually moving to manual-only flying on my Mavic Air. One thing I struggle with is the need to change the settings "on the fly" (no pun intended) with variable lighting conditions whilst still trying to always adopt the 180 degrees rule. I guess the best thing is to use the appropriate ND filter and adopt a setting for the brightest condition, and then tweaking ISO when entering a dark scene to maintain 180 degrees. Does that sound right?
Здравей, от 1 седмица имам mavic air и все още се уча. Наистина полезно видео, а случайно да си имаш представа дали мога да изключа зареждането от дистанционното към телефона? Благодаря предварително:))
Thank You for the perfect combination of information and commentary. Super helpful for someone like me who has the passion, but not all the time to figure it out! Dilly Dilly!
Were are settings for the mavic air i looked everywhere all there is is iso white balance and shutter speed do you have to unlock the rest i dont get it i dont even know if its shooting in 4k i cant find the resolution settings ive searched every option. I though it had the cini d option also none of those video options exist on mine. UPDATE. After gaining 1 experiance point and a hour fight time lol all the options magically appeared weird lol.
@@DroneSupremacy thank you ya and i took the short test that kept popping up by dji that i couldnt esape or close the window uless i completely closed the app lol
It was honestly something that I only saw when I started editing the video, i didn't see how close i was when i was flying lol. It was a day full of luck! :D
Not only do you find some of the most amazing places to fly, your skills are incredible! I keep watching your videos because I can learn so much from listening to you and watching you fly. Seems like the Mavic Pro 2 is the big news these days but I am so in love with my Mavic Air. It is such an amazing device and my only wish is that they find a way to extend the flight time perhaps with a better battery. The 15 minutes of the said 21 minute capability goes so fast when you are up in the air. Please DJI, get us a better battery for the Mavic Air! Thanks again DS!
for sure... but the lighting has to be right.. try not to have it to bright.. try not to face the sun to head on.. you can do some color correction in editing software as well.. but yeah you can get some good stuff with the air..
Hello, Servus! I'm new here and I'm wondering if someone could shed some light if an ASUS ROG Phone 3 could work (compatible) with my DJI Mavic Air. (I'm not that techie and I'm considering Asus ROG P3 vs. iPhone 12 pro). Any help/decent comment is highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance🍺
Is it true that video quality at 60fps is blurry, not sharped? When I record on 4k 30fps all is very sharped, full of detail. What do you think, is better use 30fps / 1080p than 60fps?
I haven't flown mine yet but I'd imagine the camera is doing some sort of pixel binning or line skipping to get the 1080p 60 rather than down sampling the whole sensor. This does reduce the quality. Try 2.7k at 60fps it might be better
Mavic Pro
Super super helpful and informative video man!! Well done 👏🏻🙌🏻 Keep up the great work! Your channel is becoming my go to for anything drone / Mavic Air related. Cheers and happy flying!
How are the drone rules in your country? I see you fly over cities (historic ones), powerlines etc. ? Nice shots though! Still need a lot to learn if I see this ;-)
Hey Steve, Yes we do understand so we are talking to Amazon they do have changes sometime in their system so all sellers are affected by this activity.
Thanks for another great video!! I tried Tripod mode which looked awesome as you mentioned. My only problem is rotation (yaw) movement which seems to be just as fast as in Normal mode. I have the settings turned all the way down but, the yaw seems to be too fast for my liking. Even when barely pressing on the stick, I can't get a buttery smooth rotation. I have learned an immense amount from you through your awesome video's! Always looking forward to your next one!! Thank you, Ray

What song was that?
If you are using tripod and cinematic why make the gimbal adjustments in the advanced menu? Do those modes not have an effect on gimbal movement? Or are cinematic and tripod only for drone body movements?
Are you able to just go and film over fields like that I’m just curious I’m new to drone flying?
Please what the best way to record a horizontal 180 degree video of the beach from one side in a cinematic mode?
2:43 - that flyby near the power lines was a proper hardcore ;D! lol
We loved visiting Tsarevets Fortress in Veliko Tarnovo Bulgaria. Thanks for helping with setting my video settings on my Mavic Air.
Hi any thoughts on genuine DJI ND filters?
Hey Mike, I have a quick question..is there any particular reason why you never see anyone using their prop guards on the mavic air?? Does it affect handling, or interfere with video or photo? Cool shots Which program do you use to edit videos ?
do you use slow motion on your video or speed ramps. If so, How do you keep it smooth with shooting on 24fps with 50shutterspeed

Dieter Knüttel Isnt Axis jump also called 180-degree rule?
Shayyan Malik
No, the 180 degree rule is about the shutter speed being twice the number of the frame rate. Have a look at the link I provided above.

Hi i have a question... on 3:45 of your video... how can u take a photo of that shot? can i use the quickshots to take a photo?
Hey Mike, can you recommend using these settings, especially the gimbal settings, on the Mavic Pro?
Yes, they are valid for other devices as well!

Nice edit over your flights! very cool transitions.
2:10 that roll doeeee. did you use the Badass transition pack for that?
Great visuals with a wicked soundtrack.
Which music are you using for your video at the begining ?
Hi. Where do i click to change settings to tripod and cinematic mode? Thanks for sharing your settings.
What program for you use to color grade the drone shots?

Just bought my first drone and i'm very glad this was the first video i watched! great information mate
You should show us the cinematic mode , you did for tripod mode, just curious to see the difference.
Nice video!! How did you do the transition effect from 3:20 to 3:22?
Thanks! It's called the "Luma transition" and it's a free plugin that you can use for Final Cut Pro X
Thank you bro
2:44 I loved this!
what do you use for video editing?
I use Final Cut Pro X :)
