Aww that's so sweet of you. I never thought my hair was good enough to ever be seen down because I didn't know how to take care of it so I got a perm. It was a bad mistake because after seeing so many natural hair videos I wanted to transition and my hair started to break and it was a mess. Now I'm going to do the big chop lol. Hopefully it won't have to be too short! ☺️

I love natural hair, Idk if ill ever go natural, i usually get really inspired by natural curl patterns that aren't like mine, but your cousins hair is beautiful, and I can't wait for your big chop!
Do you know your curl pattern? If you do, maybe you should search for naturals within your hair texture so you can get better motivation. Honeslty, I think every curl pattern is a enough motivation because they're all natural.
I do know my curl pattern i actually have a video of it on my channel lol and I have looked at videos of naturals who have looser texture and kinkier texture than mine but the kinkier textures always look like more maintenance, and more time consuming, more product, with more shrinkage, none of which i really want to sign up for haha its a struggle to embrace more work!
eVaniwithaV Actaully, you can do your hair for 10 minutes and it would still look as maintenance. Remember, only you make out your journey, whether you want to spend more time on your hair, that's your business. Trust me, you won't need a lot of products unless you actaully want to. You can make your journey easier or harder for you, every journey is different. You never know, natural might not be as hard for you as you thought. Me, personally, I believe I saved a lot of money and time ever since I went natural. Ik this is getting long- but you don't have to buy products with the name 'natural', 'kinky, curly' on them, you could simply make your own treatments using natural resources.
+eVaniwithaV This is coming from a girl with the kinky type 4b/c texture. It is a lot of work to figure it out if you are just starting. But I learned what my hair likes and what it doesn't and it's actually easy (and fun) to do, at least for me lol.

Kissiana juniia when you are 100% ready to cut, you cut. Theres no specific time. The only time i would suggest cutting is when your hair is breaking uncontrollably

I transitioned for a year and 4 months, I big chopped 4 days ago! I love my hair, I am so glad I transitioned, My hair is still shoulder length in the back and past my ear in the front, my fro isn't small, but it isn't huge either. whoop whoop!
