I did it ... I'm natural !!!! I transitioned basically for a total of 19 months . It was a hard journey but oh was it worth it . This big chop didn't make me feel sad nor do I regret it .. I'm so excited to be natural now.

I rarely leave comments for videos, but I had to take the time to tell you how BEAUTIFUL your hair looks. The shape of it is so pretty and your hair looks so lush, full, and gorgeous. You were the main person that I followed religiously when I started my permed hair journey in 2008 to waist length permed hair. I reached that goal about 4 years ago and then got bored with my hair and have tried to go natural a few times since then to no avail (lack of patience transitioning as oppose to simply big chopping); and so to observe your new journey as you transitioned to being completely natural is so inspiring. I'm in the process of transitioning from a relaxer YET AGAIN and seeing your video makes you once more a great hair inspiration for me. Very happy for you! You look gorg!

This is the only video I needed to see in order to start my transition back to natural!! So im gonna do it! already been about 7 weeks post relaxer. Usually relax my hair every 9 weeks but now im just gonna deal with my natural newgrowth for a year and a half and then do my big chop!! I LOOOVVVEEE YOUR HAIR!!!

Your hair looks gorgeous and so full of bounce. Girl you are going to have fun with that. I big chopped at the 16 month mark, I could not stand battling two textures and once I cut, it was such a relief and I was finally able to actually see how beautiful my curl are. Beautiful!

Traycee Congrats!! I big chopped on 8/6, like you it was a wash day and I was just over it. You have way more hair than I do though I only transitioned about 6 months. But I'm so glad I did and wish I did this years ago! Good for you, your hair looks great.

Congratulations Tracy, I long-termed transitioned for 2 years. I originally said that I was going to do 3 but 25 months post-relaxer which was literally 3 weeks ago, I got ready to wash my hair and decided that I was over it. I got my scissors and cut my hair. I had been so afraid to cut my hair before but that day I didn't have one ounce of fear. I have yet to regret it. I have gotten more compliments on my hair since I cut it than I have ever had. Welcome to the club!!!!
