    Have a P250 with adaptive dynamics suspension. Combined with amazingly comfortable seats it's as good form a comfort viewpoint as the Cayenne Turbo we used to have. (not quite as fast though - but still quick). Love it. Highly recommend you look for the adaptive suspension if buying secondhand).👍

    I purchased a 2018 CPO E-Pace 6 months ago and still love it. The comments of the auto shutdown are accurate. It is a real pain when stopping at stop signs with no additional traffic. Initially I felt 246 hp for petrol was a bit weak since I was stepping down from a year old Mustang GT but I have since adjusted. I would not have considered a Jaguar in the past due to family stories on repair costs. With the warranty extension of the CPO with free oil changes, I can feel content that no surprising repair bills will surface for the next 3.5 years. I recommend getting an E-Pace if it checks all of your boxes. I plan on exchanging this for another CPO when the warranty expires. Hopefully they will have a hybrid by then.

    I have been leasing an E pace P250 for 2 years now and although it does have flaws I never regret the choice, it is a fun car. I used to be an AUDI car owner, and you would immediately notice the differences in the tech, namely navigation screen software and the automatic gear shifting timing. The Epace is pretty to look at, the Dynamic range has all the options you can think of, my favourite features are the storage space and the sports mode that will transform completely how the car feels and behaves like driving a new car (but watch out for the petrol consumption) Room for improvements: the navigation system and screen need a major design update; I had a few software issues that required visits to the friendly dealership garage (cooling fan, radio, navigation system) which are luckily covered under the warranty and the leasing contract, but these seem to be common issues as I have seen in the Jaguar forums. My friends own a new Volvo SUV, and they by far had much more issues, so I use that as my benchmark. All in all, it's a handsome car with multiple personalities, it is not up to Macan or Q3 technical standards, but I think it is a good leap towards the right direction. FYI the commentator in the video mentioned the higher price of the Macan, but one needs to consider the depreciation value which is much higher with Jaguar versus the German sisters. Will Jag be my next choice when this leasing ends? I will have to make a longer test drive to see if the commonly reported issues have been resolved in the upcoming SUV models. I hope they do because I can see Jag's potential to produce the #1 SUV, and not only the electric version.

    The reason why it’s the same weight as the F-pace is because it has a steel chassis, the F-pace is aluminium 👍🏽

    Good review, I picked up my 2019 E-Pace last week and I love the beautiful smooth and quiet ride. I chose the Windsor leather and it's gorgeous. All trim is lined up and the 10" display tablet we can add more screens, I created a great home screen with a large clock and my favorite used buttons (Android Auto, navigation, phone etc.). The price for a Jaguar is great and I am sure I will enjoy this beauty for many years to come. I also like InControl (yes, I do like it!) that provides items such as live news, website browsing and a not bad music app (I do use an Android Auto app for music as genres is missing in InControl, but then all but one Android Auto app doesn't have it either). There are 2 USB ports, one for my phone and the other I use with a USB stick where I have a lot of my music, and yes genres is available for the USB stick music app in the car! I am using ECO driving mode to save gas, the engine shuts off at (red) traffic lights and starts rapid fast when my foot goes off the brake pedal and before have a chance to touch the gas pedal.

    I know everybody has different tastes in styling but to me the back looks original Jag , and the front looks like something from China or Korea 5 years ago and everybody cant deny it does looks like the Suzuki Swift and doesn't look like an upmarket car , also shame it was rushed to get it to the market and made of steel and not aluminum which is understandable as they need to be profitable to survive in the Auto jungle .

    I've got one and its Brilliant. Great review and the best thing about the car is its not a boring German exec. Apple play has transformed the crappy infotainment system... got mine updated and it was as if they put a new computer in. Much better. I love its quirky little features like the Jaguar Cub logo and Jaguar print, someone had fun designing this. I also love the way it growls when you put your foot down. Its worth going for the more powerful engines and skip the heads up display... makes my wife feel sick. I'ts a fun car and less slab sided than the F-Pace. I love it more than our old lovely Evoque... or Ewok as we used to call it.

I don't understand criticism on the weight, if you like a light four wheel drive you can always buy a Fiat Panda 4x4. I love my red 2020 E-pace, and so does everyone else! It is exceptional on the open road and very comfortable to drive on long trips. I really can't think of anything I would change about the car. One thing I didn't like is that the car came equipped with Goodyear 235/50/20 tires. All of the tire store size charts call for a 245/45/20, which offers a lot more options. There are only a couple of tires that even come in a 235/50/20, and they are very expensive and suck!! I guess the CEOs of Jaguar and Goodyear had a meeting to select a horrible tire and size that nobody else manufactures??

    I drive my E-Pace now for two years. And overall I'm still happy with it. Even if its very big in width, it is absolutely proper for the city. As it is not that long and you have good support systems, you usually don't need more space than a VW polo. The interior is really nice. It feels worthy and is very comfortable. You can drive long distances without feeling bad.
    What annoys me are 3 things.
    1. The turbo is starting too abruptly. You can only accelerate like it would have 50 hp, or you push the pedal fully, wait two seconds and it moves like a cat hunting for rabbit. Maybe that could be fixed with the new hybrid versions ins 2021?
    2. This point should be fixed with the new platforms, but I have to say, the E pace is to heavy for a modern car, even it is a suv. My 180 hp diesel engine is absolutely enough, but not for a 1900kg car. If the E-Pace wants to be what its exterioral appearance represent, the proportion of weight and power has to be a little bit better. The weight is also not good for the fuel consumption, which is higher than the 3 liter 6 cylinder diesel XY of my father.
    3. I really really hope jaguar puts a induction charging system for smartphones in the "face-lift". I mean for real, its embarrassing, that even cheap cars had this feature long before i got my E-Pace. And Jaguar wasn't even offering it at that time.

    No idea why reviews have been so cool about this car? The R-dynamic SE for the deals and price is great? Instead of thinking of it as (and comparing it to) a family car its more of a stylish sporty option - bachelors, couples and even youthful OAPs! Where some deride the supposedly non-relaxing ride, I thought the very same characteristics made for a positive tight sporty ride, which I liked? When comparing it to others such as the xc40, I should point out that nearly all e-paces are 4x wheel drive!! A small SUV which feels like a bigger SUV, easy to drive (and park) around town and solid on motorways. Its not common, is a luxury brand and made in old blighty. In my opinion, what's not to like?

    • @taosmary
      @taosmary 4 роки тому

E-pace is a Perfect balance between motorway soft chair and nippy city car.

  • @arresonance
    @arresonance 4 роки тому

    I bought the D180 with all the options, electronic suspensions don’t work, comfort or sport stays the same, SUPER stiff, you can’t drive over bumps or your back will suffer.
    It shuts off when you stop at roundabouts.
    If you arrive at 20-30km/h at a roundabout the automatic gear box won’t decide which gear to select until you are out of the roundabout itself. When you step on the gas, no matter how little, it will try to select a new gear, which takes forever anyway. You simply won’t trust the car to accelerate when you need it.
    Infotainment sometimes hangs and you have to turn the car off, open the door and then turn the car on again.
    When you get into the car it will start playing music without your consent from all kinds of sources: radio, UA-cam on your phone, Spotify and so on. You can’t stop this from happening.

    Ridiculous that a 6’ driver can’t sit behind himself in an SUV. I want to buy the Jaguar, but am reluctantly being shoehorned into the Volvo XC40 which has this problem nailed in a smaller car.

    The F Pace is just so much better of a vehicle than this chic E Pace. I'd just spend more and get the F Pace personally. RWD based means alot in my book

    It is not the best looking SUVVY...too bland front & back..bland like the teutonics..Alfa's Stelvio has much more style..& a better engine!

    Swap the badge with a Kia and nobody would know. Jaguar have gone too far downmarket. People used to aspire to owning a Jag. Now they are in the same price segment as Japanese and Korean cars and not as well built.

      LOOL man I bought an F-Pace in 2016 when it was brand new and I bought it because was the best SUV on the market (better than the old Q5, the merc GLC, etc.) The only problem I had was that it was 4000 euro more expensive than the Merc. You are wrong, Jaguar doesn't have the scale of BMW and Audi and that's why they are 5-10% more expensive.

    Long story short: Jaguar completely missed the point with this car, it’s a pity. And what can we say about the price? Try to config a car with the same specs of the one in this video...No, there are plenty of better alternatives...

      eastwood978 Weight as an Fpace and it’s not as confy nor sporty; interior is quite “cheap” feeling unless you upgrade it spending quite a lot...and still it lacks quality (plastics are generally poor); in my opinion, it seems like it’s a 10y old car....and it’s partially correct considering that it’s based on the old Evoque platform. And it’s a shame, I was very interested in buying it...but no, thanks. One last thing: people say that it holds in value since it’s a Jaguar...well, you can find an year old First edition (180 awd diesel) with less than 10.000 kms for 45.000 euro... 😔

    Poorly built with cheap components, but charging premium prices. Average interior again using some pretty cheap components. Panel gaps are huge and misaligned, you can see the car in the vide has panels way out of alignment. Jaguar are a company that are essentially dead, 20 years time they will be gone.
