LOVE these guys. Came to find them through being a NOFX fan. If your younger kids love punk rock (mine has since 6yrs old) this is the BEST - old school favorite songs you can share without needing to censor. Hands down one of the best vocal abilities of our time. PLEASE COME TO CANADA for a show!!!!

The Steve Goodman version of City Of New Orleans got me out of the worst bad trip I've ever had, and this is the best version of that song that I've ever heard!
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes is always a party. I wish they do shows that last for 2 hours!
They should release this as a double disc with karaoke versions of all the songs!
I know, half these songs arent worth a damn not done by the gimmies. But kinda fun to do em like them with their original music.

i usually hate covers but I like all these songs on this album and i love how they have translated these songs into punk rock becuase i also love punk rock.

Never heard the Rainbow Connection, looked it up, was originally performed by Kermit the Frog. Paused this video, listened to Kermit for a bit - Diggin' it - and then came back to this video, unpaused at the exact point in the song that I stopped listening to Kermit's version.

Brilliant. So brilliant. am probably the oldest Gimmes fan in the universe. Cant wait to see the Gimmes in NYC at Webster Hall. Sorry that Steve Goodman is no longer with us. He would have absolutely loved the Gimmes version of City of New Orleans. Maybe they'll play at my memorial service or funeral or something.

This band has the unique ability to cover songs I utterly despise and make them fun. Much of what they cover is stuff I totally avoid in the original versions.
