I am from Ontario, Canada and have just finished watching this video. Love it! What a riot! I am going to send it to all my Canadian friends. Yes, we do have a sense of humour.
Canada is part of the Commonwealth The Queen is the head of state. The Prime Minister is the head of government. The Queen is represented in Canada by the Governor General. Hope this helps. Regards, Yvonne
I don't know why Yvonne says Canada is not and never was part of America. It always was. I love Canada and always considered it part of North America just like I consider Mexico part of North America. If Americans refer to the US as America, I tell them that Canada is part of it. I'm proud of my 2 countries, but facts are facts.
@Saidanja but the cheap medical comes at a high price. I am Canadian and I live in KY and in 2004, I had brain surgery that I would never been allowed to have in Canada. Americans must realize that the cheap medical will bring the system down to the same level as Canada and that is not good. When I lived in Canada, I had extra insurance because the "free" does not cover it all.
If only it could be that much fun going through the Canada/US border, in either direction!!! No mention of passports...just a big 'ol friendly welcome...and maybe a few unusual requests...
This is hysterical. I'm Canadian AND American and I love this joke. Americans who don't think this is funny, grow a thicker skin. If you did this to Canadians, they would all take it in stride and laugh about it. Why don't you, Johnp1199?
Muffles, Canada has always been a part of America, North America is a continent. We are at the very North end of that continent. Ergo, we are Americans. The offical name for the states is United States OF America which states, grammerically, that it is only PART of the Americas. It is just that they make the most noise and everyone ends up thinking, incorrectly, that the USA IS AMERICA. You stated yourself that Jamestown was Englands first settlement in AMERICA. Just sayin...
@muffles12 The Queen is visiting Jamestown The tour marks the 400th anniversary of England's first settlement in America at Jamestown. Canada is not and never was part of America. I've explained to you in a nice way and feel there is no need for an attitude. The Queens visit is respectful of history. Regards, Yvonne
so ... why were those Mounties wearing their dress uniforms? The scarlets are only for formal occasions. On the job they wear uniforms that look like any normal police outfit. Of course, without the scarlets and the horses they wouldn't look like Mounties ...
Um. I'm a Canadian, and I don't think this is funny at all. I don't think a Canadian hidden cam show would ever do that - it seem disrespectful and possibly illegal to me. The fact that it was done by an American (Fox) media corp with a well know agenda for right wing political slant makes me feel like this is extemely insulting to both Canadians and Americans. Just not appropriate or funny.
I think the poor Americans were more bewildered than pissed. Than again this is near the West Coast. If this was done in the deep south I doubt it would be taken lightly.
This is hilarious. It's a prank. There are lots of TV shows that pull pranks so if you don't have a sense of humour, I pity you. I don't think it's disrespectful to anyone.
One question only. Who sponsored, bankrolled and paid for such an expensive production for only a few, light laughs? If it hadn't been identified as (supposedly) 'FOX TV', it would have been 'a natural given' for ;Canadian taxpayer-supported', CBC's non-rolling-on-the-floor, comedy sketches.
Horses are too small and not groomed properly to be RCMP horses and the RCMP officers boots are the wrong colour. I didn't even hear one 'eh' out of them all. Besides, RCMP aren't used as border guards, that is what Customs Agents are for. If they wanted to be realistic they should have made them sing an Anne Murray song, instead of Jiggle Bells.. wink Otherwise, I found it cute!
I actually didn't find this funny... most of these people were foreigners and didn't even know where the border lines were in the first place. Am I right?
hi guys, from the comments by the folks from the USA for this video, now i know why TEAM AMERICA was such a big movie. Americans - try to get a sense of humour! Go Canada!

This is hysterical. I'm Canadian and I love this joke.
LOL!!! As a Canadian I think this Hilarious!! It makes us look funny and it shows just how ready we are to laugh at our selves! Love it!!
Watching paint dry is hilarious to a Canadian. Canadians have few brain cells
3:33, reads paper,
"New Canadian Border?"
Omg, I'm dying here.
@chayalyn
Canada is part of the Commonwealth

From the future: Elizabeth II died in 2022, Charles III is now king.
This is quite sad actually that people can be so easily manipulated 😕
People = Americans
Not really easily manipulated. It's called being prudent. You respect authority, do as you're asked, then investigate the facts.
Called im bored i live in the western world,,
I'm from British Columbia, Canada, and I literally died laughing, almost falling off my chair. Those poor people!
lol ♡

This has to be one of the best pranks of all time!
Not sure why a 13 year old video showed up today but as a Canadian (Victoria B.C.) I laughed till tears fell!

sounds like a warren miller voice over!! luv it!!
when was the last time you had an eye exam???
"Totally Hidden Video" is possibly the shittiest name for a candid camera show. I wouldn't believe I was on candid camera if that was the name of it.
Canadians... Terve
WELCOME TO CANADA👋🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
This is from "Totally Hidden Video" not Candid Camera
Those people totally fell for this. 😆😂😅
Totally hidden video? Thought this was candid camera

People reaction was very funny. In my country people never will react like that.
I'm Canadian and I didn't feel offended. It just show that people do not know their geography
I doubt you know the geography of your own city
Why did this got recommended to me🤔
Um. I'm a Canadian, and I don't think this is funny at all. I don't think a Canadian hidden cam show would ever do that - it seem disrespectful and possibly illegal to me. what did the man at 4.12 say? "When was the last time you had an ..?.."
“Eye exam”
Canadian Border Officials are not that nice......
FYI Mounties do not wear their red serge every day......
Imagine if that really happened!! 0:25
Oh, so you fell for it too?
Brilliant!!
What a nightmare. And I'm Canadian.
Canada borders on brilliance! The USA
3:15 He's cute
"just turn your engine on off"
what?
The original sketch on Candid Camera was much more funny, with better reactions and without the lame commentary and overbearing laugh track.
Great idea!
I think we WILL move the border south.
I like this video, it's very funny, but that canadian border is not like the others, but I like
Some of you guys really are taking this way too seriously.
Some people are easily amused!
"Turn your engine on off for me"!? That guy isn't Canadian!
That was hella funny! 😂
I would like to see this stunt pulled in Canada with a new U.S. border. I don't think Canadians would take the news so calmly.
I think the poor Americans were more bewildered than pissed.
Than again this is near the West Coast. If this was done in the deep south I doubt it would be taken lightly.
Try that in Texas or Oklahoma!
@tahirphysio *those - looks like spelling's a bit tough for you.
They got to be rich to do shit like this!!!!!
we are so lucky to be Canadian's..........eh!one of the top if not top 3 countries in the world...
Us Canadians have a good sense of humour. No disrespect taken. It was well done.
This is hilarious. It's a prank. There are lots of TV shows that pull pranks so if you don't have a sense of humour, I pity you. I don't think it's disrespectful to anyone.
Wait....wait....this many people BOUGHT THIS?!?!? ROTFL!!!!
Hey great fun, I am Canadian loved it....watch Talking to americans for some canadian skits :)
One question only. Who sponsored, bankrolled and paid for such an expensive production for only a few, light laughs? If it hadn't been identified as (supposedly) 'FOX TV', it would have been 'a natural given' for ;Canadian taxpayer-supported', CBC's non-rolling-on-the-floor, comedy sketches.
omg I can't believe this! so damn funny!
ha ha these ppl dont get out much obviously..
Starring American intellect!
in order to make it very realistic , canadian border guards should have had turbans.
Americans are ignorant concerning the rest of the world they even thought that Canada was part of Britains.
Us Canadians have a good, quiet sense of humour. Funny stuff.
Canadians are hostile and insecure. Not people one would want to associate with
Funny. French is missing on the signs, so, not exactly canadian.
@Justtc Gosh it was a freaking joke calm down
no, thats mexico, canada was voted #1 best place to live, im english
Hahaha...loved it !!!! Hehe
BEST
I love this video!!! But i really wonder how clever americans are;)
That was so funny
Canadian?? Hell no!!! I'm European!!!!
The signs aren't bilingual - first clue to actual Canadians.
How in the world is that disrespectful? Americans aren't the ones who make you dress up in those silly outfits anyway.
OMG those poor guys and gals. LMAO. how innocent people really are. great joke, harmless, great works ***** star

Hilarious prank, just not a great name for a tv show lol.
hi guys,
from the comments by the folks from the USA for this video, now i know why TEAM AMERICA was such a big movie. Americans - try to get a sense of humour! Go Canada!
@wrowbott Grow up. You aren't better than anyone else, get off your high horse.
So not funny .. even the pranked don't get the joke right away.
