20 years later the built in assistant is active by default. First thing I do with a new computer is shut it off.

I like how the guy argued with the computer. I have said unkind things to my computer, but it doesn't answer back. 😅😅😅
Apple had a "notify" app that had some funny error lines in it, if you scheduled an event with it and accidentally typed the wrong date that had already passed, it would say; "ThinGs work better when you schedule them for the future, pal" HAHA

I am sure I would have said much meaner things to the computer. I already do, and mine doesn't talk to me.
Once my daughter was driving and she was out in the country where the GPS cut in and out. She missed a turn. She said, "Ugh! you idiot!" The GPS said, "I'm sorry I don't understand you idiot!" She laughed so hard!
This is what life with AI will be in the not so distant future.
Heck, I have arguments with my Google assistant like this now! :P
Now we call it an auto-correct “Smart” phone with a feature called Siri, better pronounced as Sorry!😂😂😂😂

I know. Everything is way more complicated now a days. At the time, I was too ignorant to see how darn lucky I was. At least now I do, and I am so very grateful I had such an innocent childhood back then.

If someone from the 70's, 80's or 90's could catch a glimse of what it has done to the '20's culture, they would see it as nothing less than mind control. (And I'm the first to admit, I'm I'm addicted to it, and I hate myself because of all the time I've wasted on it.)
Don’t use Siri or Alexa-it just invades your privacy anyhow. I WILL NEVER have that in my home.

Set back in the late 1990's, when we were getting used to computers trying to "help" us, and just wanting them to shut up! You nailed every aspect of it which has continued to this day. My favourite? "It appears your file has been deleted". ROFL!
I wish my LGTV would just shut up. Hold the mic button "screen off" and get a voice response "ok. I'll turn off the screen" yeah i freaking hope so, i told you to do it. now if i can get the damn thing to just shut up and do it.

No. Our concealment is odd looking, because we WANT people to look in that direction, wondering what it is. But they'd have no reason to think there was a camera there. That said, not all reveals are interesting and we don't show them all. -Peter

So funny and it reminded me when I started using my PC speech-to-text program ages ago. It made everything so much slower with all of the corrections I had to keep doing. Haven't bothered with it again because I can word process/type quickly. Time to turn off those speakers.
I just ordered a new computer and hope I do not get any of these Bells & Whistles programs that will slow me down.
It's called build your own and start with just Windows (which still has enough bells and whistles you have to turn off)
Or learn a more obscure thing like Linux
And this is why I always tell Siri to go delete herself 🤣

I have a really sincere question for the staff of Candid Camera regarding jokes/stunts/pranks like this, though, & would really like an answer:
90% of your stunts/ideas are just awesome, kove them to death. But one thing I've always wanted to know is, how in the world are pranks like THIS supposed to be funny for the person it being done on?
What I'm specifically asking is, how is any stunt where the person thinking they are being potentially hired for a real job supposed to end up up being funny for them when it turns out it wasn't a real job? Wouldn't it rather be hard for them to "smile"? Wouldn't they be bummed that it didn't turn out to be a real job?
I have never understood how job pranks were supposed to be funny because I'd be sad if i was looking for work & it turned out to be a prank!
