Thank you for the great survival video. Although the skills of starting a fire with a bow are very difficult to master you do bring the importance of being able to start fire in an emergency To the forefront! I always have lighters and a magnesium fire starter on hand. Thanks again for the great video and keep them coming.

I've been flint knapping for years and making different stone tools. I've not tried making fire this way since i was in Boy Scouts in the early 80s. I'm in the process of making a primitive pump-style drill. One can either drill stone, or wood and or make fire using the pump drill.

I haven’t seen this whole video, but there are many ways to do this. You don’t need any cord. Just takes much longer, bow drill is the most consistent by far from my experience.
