Check out this newly constructed JADU in Culver City. This garage conversion was 440 sq.ft and cost the homeowner $135,000. The JADU was customized for the homeowners' aging parents. They decided to go with larger appliances and full-size furniture. Defiantly, sometimes we like a ton of cabinets and sometime like more open shelving, just depends on the kitchen size and customer requests

Hello, Joseph I’ve been watching your videos and I’m really thankful for all the helpful information. I’m thinking about building a jadu in my single car garage about 200 sqft. How many circuits did you end up needing on this project and did you have to alter the main panel to allow for the new jadu? Also what existing panel size was there already, 100 amp or 200amp?
Good questions. I don’t remember how many circuits we did for this project but we definitely had to upgrade the panel- the existing panel was 100 amps and we upgraded to 200apsms

How much space do you need between wall and stove? Will an ADU pass inspection if your stove is right next to the wall?
Usually you need 3" but make sure to ask your inspector!
