I believe that punishment should fit the crime. Abandon animals with no food and water when you move.. You get the same for as long. Beat you dog with fists x times, you get the same. Leave your animal chained outside in extreme heat or feezing temps... you get the same. The laws need to be enforced.

But in reality, pretty much anyone can do evil if pushed in the right way. Most parents who beat their children, for example, actually love their children and want the best for them. But they've either convinced themselves that the pain of hitting is worth it (eg it'll make them better disciplined), or they've simply lost control over themselves. Shaken baby syndrome is most likely to happen to a baby with severe colic, who just won't stop crying and can't be soothed. A parent with little support who is kept awake for days by a screaming baby gets pushed to their limit and snaps. Lashing out doesn't necessarily mean that you lack a conscience. More often, it means you're losing control over your emotions under stress. And that can change depending on how much stress you're under and what coping skills you've learned.

I´ve got 2 strong-headed dogs myself, about 8 and 10 yrs old. For almost 2yrs now i´m bound to use an electric wheelchair due to health issues. I´ve worked out with them how to walk next to it avoiding entangling the leash or pulling. Not ONCE it´d have crossed my mind to use such a barbaric collar on them. There is no true reason to use one. No matter what kind of dog you have or which training you're up to. In my opinion people using these things want to express dominance and first of all want quick training results, lacking the patience to give the dog appropriate time to learn and understand. When Jackie said she couldn't imagine having more than one dog, I thought ooh 🙁 We had 6 dogs when I was growing up. They were all rescues, and my sister and I were homeschooled so we were always with them, they had a big backyard, loved each other, and us, and we got lucky because they were healthy, so checkups and one needed regular professional grooming, other than that they all lived long healthy, halfway inexpensive, 13-17 year lives. It was a good experience actually, it teaches you true love. It's been 14 years since we lost all those old ladies and I still miss them and tear up thinking about what good girls they were!
Zeus is gorgeous and well behaved. Hopefully the owner will feel some pain in his wallet from a large fine. Would be nice if he also got some jail time.

I had a Springer Spaniel that passed away last year. He looked very similar to Ted, he was the sweetest dog I'd ever met. As of this point, he was the love of my life. I miss him greatly.

Very sad, yet glad the owner hand him over. Me and my son , once picked a dog up, which was severely burnt, and also painted. We stayed far from animal rescue, so we took him.there.
I think we should pass a law that states animal abusers should get more than just fines & jail time, they should have to go through every form of abuse they put the animal in question through. Chop a dogs leg off? You lose your leg the same way, no numbing, no doctors, just chop it right off. Beat a dogs head in? Your head gets beat in. Lock a dog in a tiny cage in blistering heat with no food & water? Your turn buddy. Maybe then these cruel assholes will learn.
And yet when Britain coulda supported, as a nation, saving the dogs/cats in Afghanistan, many Brits made it their business to publicly criticize the people that privately helped to save these animals. Makes me angry how so many people ignorantly use pinch collar to "control" their dogs. I have 2 neighbors, one a German Sepherd's owner and other is a Golden Retriever's owner - and _both_ use a pinch collar on their dog. I know they're a large dog, but it doesn't mean they should use that painful collar to control them. Another neighbor suggested to me to wear a collar on my Beagle. He even stupidly said the worst part of this small hound is they always sniffing, and i simply replied "what's for? I will let her sniff whatever she wants to train her mental stimulation by tracking something." My beloved Beagle will always using _harness_ or even _off leash_ on walking for the rest of her life. What's for physical stimulation without mental stimulation? All should be balance! 🤷🏻♀️
Why TF would you get a beagle if you don't want them sniffing? Bad enough with any dog, but beagles are literally bred as scent hounds! To buy a dog bred for a specific purpose and then get mad at them for doing the behavior that fulfills that purpose is ridiculous.
Dawn dishwashing liquid works great on fleas. Then we did Frontline spray on a towel for little puppies and wrapped them up in the towel for 5 to 10 minutes. So sad such a simple thing to do. Thank you all for what you do.

Because the jails are already full of people who just had a bit of cannabis in their homes or something like that...they've got no room for violent animal abusers. Plus, this man needs a psychiatrist and a rehabilitation course for violent men. A stint in jail won't make him any less violent.

My dogs and pup are socialized, love other dogs and 2 love people too which is my desire, my pup came from a bad background and is unsure of people but learns to trust my friends after many visits, I'm allowing him to go easy! I love my dogs hanging out on the couch and bed, they're family. Teddy is amazing !!

Zeus is such a beautiful dog, made me cringe watching his owner beat him. What a prick, glad he was punished by the law. At least Zeus is now happy in a good home 🐾

Zeus is a stunning German Shepherd. So glad he has a wonderful life now. His previous owner was a monster and didn't deserve to have any dog.

Thanks for rescuing all the dogs who have been mistreated. People who abuse beautiful dogs like Zeus should be banned for life and monitored to make sure they don't get anymore animals

Glad to hear Zeus’ previous owner showed remorse for treating an animal badly. Perhaps he was never taught how to be kind to smaller creatures. Some people grow up with pretty rough parents themselves.

I had a Springer Spaniel that passed away last year. He looked very similar to Ted, he was the sweetest dog I'd ever met. As of this point, he was the love of my life. I miss him greatly.
Is animal abusers deserve a 10 year prison sentence no questions and have to serve the full term there is no reason a person who behaves like that should be out on the streets

Very sad, yet glad the owner hand him over. Me and my son , once picked a dog up, which was severely burnt, and also painted. We stayed far from animal rescue, so we took him.there.
He didn’t hand him over, he had no choice😂

I think we should pass a law that states animal abusers should get more than just fines & jail time, they should have to go through every form of abuse they put the animal in question through. Chop a dogs leg off? You lose your leg the same way, no numbing, no doctors, just chop it right off. Beat a dogs head in? Your head gets beat in. Lock a dog in a tiny cage in blistering heat with no food & water? Your turn buddy. Maybe then these cruel assholes will learn.

And yet when Britain coulda supported, as a nation, saving the dogs/cats in Afghanistan, many Brits made it their business to publicly criticize the people that privately helped to save these animals. I was really disgusted with those Brits that tried to slander this rescue operation!!! And I was so proud of and grateful for all the Brits who stood up for these dogs/cats!

Makes me angry how so many people ignorantly use pinch collar to "control" their dogs. I have 2 neighbors, one a German Sepherd's owner and other is a Golden Retriever's owner - and _both_ use a pinch collar on their dog. I know they're a large dog, but it doesn't mean they should use that painful collar to control them. Another neighbor suggested to me to wear a collar on my Beagle. He even stupidly said the worst part of this small hound is they always sniffing, and i simply replied "what's for? I will let her sniff whatever she wants to train her mental stimulation by tracking something." My beloved Beagle will always using _harness_ or even _off leash_ on walking for the rest of her life. What's for physical stimulation without mental stimulation? All should be balance! 🤷🏻♀️
Why TF would you get a beagle if you don't want them sniffing? Bad enough with any dog, but beagles are literally bred as scent hounds! To buy a dog bred for a specific purpose and then get mad at them for doing the behavior that fulfills that purpose is ridiculous.

Dawn dishwashing liquid works great on fleas. Then we did Frontline spray on a towel for little puppies and wrapped them up in the towel for 5 to 10 minutes. So sad such a simple thing to do. Thank you all for what you do.

There should be a go Fund me started for people who are willing to beat the daily crap out of animal abusers and whenever you do and it’s verified you get paid. Because just like he punched him like that I wish somebody would knock him out several times it’s so upsetting and hard breaking. If you clearly caught this on camera how he punched him why isn’t he in jail

Because the jails are already full of people who just had a bit of cannabis in their homes or something like that...they've got no room for violent animal abusers. Plus, this man needs a psychiatrist and a rehabilitation course for violent men. A stint in jail won't make him any less violent.
This guy has massive psychological problems. Beating him up would just make him worse. He has to get severe consequences, no question. But something to change his way of thinking and behaving. He´s got no respect for any living creature.

My dogs and pup are socialized, love other dogs and 2 love people too which is my desire, my pup came from a bad background and is unsure of people but learns to trust my friends after many visits, I'm allowing him to go easy! I love my dogs hanging out on the couch and bed, they're family. Teddy is amazing !!
