There are so many pets wasting away in shelters or in the streets. If you have it in your heart, you could consider giving one of them a home. You'll never regret it, and chances are you'll never feel lonely again.
@@religiohominilupus5259What you describe here was always my dream…especially for my reclining yrs which I’m now experiencing. I’m an animal lover with dogs being my favorite, resulting in me having one or two as family members at all times. Fast-forward to NOW, I suddenly had a Stroke that left me bedridden/wheelchair bound. Hence, I can’t even very well take care of myself & feel like I’m burden enough without asking others to care for my pet as well. My last little sweetie of almost 13 yrs, died after a serious ailment several yrs ago. I’ve yet to get over it!😢 I wanted to share my issue because, sometimes, people have extenuating circumstances which prevents them from doing certain things…like personally caring for a pet. Let’s remember THAT part!🤔
All of these stories made me cry for happiness progressively more each story. But Zippy Chippie's story broke me! My mother had always wanted a horse her entire life, and finally got the chance when she was in her 60's to hug a retired Standardbred mare in her teens. That horse could bloody move, let me tell you... But she didn't want to cart race. After she refused to do what she was bred to do., she was retired and put in a pasture alone for a decade. We had to make a plywood door the night she came home... Then go catch her next door at 2 in the morning. For another decade, she tortured me when I tried to ride her, let kids climb all over her every weekend. We moved my mother to Oregon a long while ago, and we took Kitty Legs along... I was the drover and there was never a problem... Kitty knew she was going home. She died a couple of years ago in the company of friends after a life doing what she wanted. See, she knew she wasn't a racehorse.
Misty-eyed for sure after seeing these stories. I’m convinced stories like these will bring humanity back to society. Or at least I hope. Cross species relationships are truly special and not to be taken for granted.
Last one, got me sad😢. Because a fur baby had to be put down. The kid loved dearly. It is awesome he got adopted. Older children get over looked in foster care system. They end up aging out. Left by themselves. No, kid should feel this way. The stories are heartwarming and I appreciate every one of them. Steve you are awesome story teller. I look forward to your next one. Every one of us, appreciates your stories. Keep up good work and God you. Also, ones in the stories.
It's Pronounced "YOOO-RAY"...I Need Me One Of Those Aligators! And "Thelonius Monk"....😂😂😂....ALL Of Them - Such Great Stories!....I Cried By The End!!❤️ Thanks, Steve! What A Great Assignment!
In these troubled times it is so uplifting to see videos like this. We need to see more to remind us that we can learn from other creatures we share this planet with and perhaps help heal our hearts. We on this planet are all connected💕❤️☮️🇺🇸
More of these segments please! Not only is Mr. Hartman an excellent narrator, his humor and wit are the icing on the cake of these wonderful stories. We could learn so much from animals. Thanks a bunch for posting these uplifting videos!
The last video truly moved me.... I know exactly as he feels. Mother NEVER loved me or did anything positive for me. All she did was to try her best to destroy my persona, to the point that she would daily beat me, hurt me, emotionally, physically, mentally, morally abuse me. She would tell me to slip in a fruit peel and die!!!! She rejected me and hated me with every single cell in her body. The things I "had" to endure!!!! Yet, I became and am closer to God because of her. That only fact, made it all bearable and worth it. I grew up to be a person who protects children, the handicapped and the elderly!! I do not want them to go through the pain I had to endure....... One curious fact that I found on the last video is that I cannot cry, unless it is because I believe that someone elderly, child or handicap person is suffering and it just brings me down to my knees!! May God Bless that Child!!
God gave us animals to fill a void My daughter abandoned me when she moved to NZ. She doesn't want me to even visit or phone her. We were the best of friends until she married some crazy guy there. So I got a French poodle and has never laughed so load in my life. She is so adorable. I thought I will never feel like smiling again but a little black fur made me laugh out load. Thank you God for Your beautyful creations. A small light in a big dark world make a BIG difference❤
The lady (Laura) that saved the pig is stunningly beautiful, AND she has a heart of gold, coupled with a love for animals. If I was that farm owner, I would make it a point to see if she was single. That was a "one in a million" chance encounter, quite literally.
Years ago I saw a dead duck on the side of a busy four lane road. Its mate was inconsolable and pacing back and forth. It was the most pitiful sight that I’ll never forget.
😢😢😢 You are very observant & empathetic to notice God's creatures. ❤ Once I saw a mother duck trying to cross the busy 4-lane with her large brood. I wanted to stop & help but I was afraid I would just cause her to bolt into on-coming traffic & get killed. I thought maybe she would figure it out. When I came back by, she was dead on the shoulder & the babies were nowhere in sight. 😭😭😭 "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father." Matthew 10:29
Dexter if there’s a will, there’s a way incredible story. Didn’t think this was possible blessing Dexter with all the dexterity that God condition out to him and already has.
How amazing. I couldn't imagine what those long years were like wondering., And waiting. You must have been heart broken. I share you're sadness. I'm glad he will finish out the rest of his good days at home with family.. God bless. Teresa
He is finally home!. My son & I moved to an apartment briefly and the same thing happened to our kitty. He slipped out & I put up ads. 6 months later someone found him about 5 miles away. I cried tears of joy. It was a miracle because we were going through a rough time & that area had tons of traffic. Then he got out AGAIN... & that time no one found him. 😭😭😭 But I'm really happy for those people, I can imagine how thrilled they must have been to get him back! Happy tears for sure!😹
Thank you Steve Hartman and CBS News. This is by far THE BEST news reporting I have seen in years. The love to and from an animal is one of our greatest blessings. Thank you for placing value in this fact such that you made it a newsworthy report. Hope it continues, I’ll be looking for it again 😊

He actually has a very good life. He has the perfect family to give him the best care and support. He's on UA-cam. Dexter Dog Ouray.
I don’t know why I think that I can ever begin watching Steve Hartman segments without first grabbing a tissue.
