I'm seeing quite a few comments about the lack of emotion and Megan's voice sounding artificial. I, however, think that they did an amazing job! I think that people are saying that there's "no emotion" because their voices aren't very powerful, or they're not projecting enough or something. Watch it again. This time, focus more on facial expressions and body language, rather than just voice. Both Megan and Eden do have emotion. In regards to Megan's voice, I believe she's purposely making it sound somewhat artificial. She's trying to be the sort of stereotypical "blonde, popular, ditzy girl" that Galinda is trying to be at the time that this song would take place in the story. According to other commenters, Megan gradually changes her voice to be less artificial over the course of the show (I can’t confirm this, as I've never seen Megan as Glinda), as Glinda stops trying to be the "popular, blonde, ditzy girl" that I mentioned previously. A couple people said that she's "trying to be Kristin Chenoweth". She's not. This is Megan's take on the character, not a direct copy of how Kristin portrayed Glinda. Again, Megan is trying to be the stereotypical popular girl that Galinda is trying to be, and loses that high-pitched voice later in the show as Glinda stops being the stereotypical popular girl. Plus, quite a few different Glindas that I've seen also at least slightly make their voice higher throughout most of the first act. That's not them "trying to be Kristin". That's them playing Glinda as they imagine her. And that's what Megan's doing. Making Glinda her own version of the character while still keeping her fairly similar. You don't expect every single Glinda to be as funny as Alli Mauzey, or as iconic as Kristin Chenoweth, do you? That's the actress' take on Glinda. Every actress' Glinda is unique, and Megan's Glinda has an artificial voice for a part of the show. That's what she imagines Glinda to be like. That's all that I have for now. Sorry that this is really long- I hope that anyone who read this has a wonderful day/night :)
Thank you i loved reading this and I can say that this whole comment is very truthful and honest and I thank you for this. I think both actresses in this video both played their characters supremely well and I hope you have a good day and night too.
I just saw this show on Broadway last night and this is great but it doesn't compare to Jennifer DiNoia and Carrie St. Louis' version it was spectacular!
The funny thing about this is: I just read a transcript of "The Wizard of Oz," and the munchkin Boq tells Dorothy, "Blue is the color of the Munchkins, and white is the witch color." Plus, he says, "Only witches and sorceresses wear white," and I'm not so sure all the other Shiz students had magic abilities. Just a thought
I saw Eden playing Maureen in the pro-shot video of Over the Moon and was confused over whether she was Idina, but younger. Now I find out she's played Elphaba as well. Are they like, inseparable or smtn?

Memorising parts for this songs is what most Wicked fans have nailed. They wouldn't be in the industry if they couldn't remember the parts simple as that

Every little trait, however small
Makes my very flesh begin to crawl
With simple utter loathing
There's a strange exhilaration
In such total detestation
It's so pure! So strong!
Though I do admit it came on fast
Still I do believe that it can last
And I will be loathing
Loathing you
My whole life long!
Dear Glinda, you are just too good!
How do you stand it? I don't think I could!
She's a terror! She's a tartar!
We don't mean to show a bias
But Glinda you're a martyr!
Well, these things are sent to try us!
Poor Glinda, forced to reside
With someone so disgusticified
We just want to tell you
We're all on your side!
We share your
What is this feeling
So sudden and new?
I felt the moment
I laid eyes on you
My pulse is rushing
My head is reeling
Oh, what is this feeling?
Does it have a name?
Yes
There's a strange exhilaration
In such total detestation
It's so pure, so strong!
So strong!
Though I do admit it came on fast
Still I do believe that it can last all
And I will be loathing
For, forever loathing
Truly, deeply loathing you loathing you
My whole life long!
Unadulterated loathing
Boo!
EDENNNNNNNNNNN ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome
Emma Hatton x Savannah Stevenson are my fav
Lance Morley Willemijn Verkaik X Alli Mauzey
This was very good, Shoshana was with Megan when I first saw it on Broadway ... so Megan is my favorite Glinda
This is my fave version of this song
Very nice!
At 0:37 I have no idea what she said it was that quick 😂
2020!
I think the British 2018 cast were the best. I watched it last night and it was fantastic.
Theyre in love
Eden and Megan. Nothing will ever compare to them in my mind.
I just wish we can go back to the 2000’s to relive them together
2:01 great vocals!
In the part glinda sings (Unusually peculiar and hard voices) and the whole time her voice is artificial
I think this is a great act of what is this feeling
omg the lyric... yep they are in love
Even the description can only describe Elphaba as green
Yes lol.
My heart lol
Im here because of Pentatonix ❤️❤️❤️
I love the one in the blue's shoes and clothes
(I don't know their names ok...)
also where's the emotion?
They sound better singing together than apart. They sound good apart, but together they could become millionaire singers.
Emerald 919 you could say together theyre unlimited
@@Rachel21846 nice.
this is cool
This is my english listening practice exercise, LMAO!
Who here likes the end where she spooks her?
🤣
I loved Megan
*There is so much gay tension in this song*
💚💖
I just saw this show on Broadway last night and this is great but it doesn't compare to Jennifer DiNoia and Carrie St. Louis' version it was spectacular!
I also saw them! It was spectacular!
I'm curious how this will be choreographed on the big screen this NOV
I’m really anxious about it
@@manuelorozco7760 here from the future.. it was done SO WELL omg.
The Glinda is giving me a headache
Edit: that's Megan? I actually love her
Yeah that's megan you dingus
Also eDEN ESPINOSA
The funny thing about this is: I just read a transcript of "The Wizard of Oz," and the munchkin Boq tells Dorothy, "Blue is the color of the Munchkins, and white is the witch color."
Plus, he says, "Only witches and sorceresses wear white," and I'm not so sure all the other Shiz students had magic abilities. Just a thought
I saw Eden playing Maureen in the pro-shot video of Over the Moon and was confused over whether she was Idina, but younger.
Now I find out she's played Elphaba as well.
Are they like, inseparable or smtn?
Here from Bluestar and Sandstorm!
Same
Eternity Stone same
Idina Menzel will always be my favorite Elphaba and Kristin Chenoweth will always be my favorite Galinda
Megan's Glinda was unique
2:57 anyone else notice Elphaba getting tangled up with the extra
The film to succeed must have the zest and muscle of the 1961 film version of West Side Story
I’ve wanted the movie more than any other stage to screen adaptation. Along with the more recent In The Heights
Eyy 18 April 2007 4 days after my best friend was born
(Galinda, spoken) Dearest, darlingest mumsie and popsicle...
(Elphaba, spoken) My dear father...
(Both) There's been some confusion over rooming here at Shiz.
(Elphaba) But of course I'll care for Nessa.
(Galinda) But of course, I'll rise above it.
(Both) For I know that's how you'd want me to respond, Yes. There's been some confusion, for you see my roommate is...
(Galinda) Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
(Elphaba) Blonde.
(Galinda) What is this feeling, so sudden and new?
(Elphaba) I felt the moment I laid eyes on you.
(Galinda) My pulse is rushing.
(Elphaba) My head is reeling

Loathing! Unadulterated loathing!

When you want to scream this at the jerk blonde who you hate
alysha lenton Did R write this comment
Who?
They’re so quiet and don’t show that much emotion, I don’t really think they fit the roles that good
EverythingEmma I agree, as good as they did with memorizing the parts I feel like they could’ve shown more emotions in there lines and in the movements in general
Ya I agree!
I love Eden and Meghan, it hate you don't like their elphaba and glinda combo, but everyones entitled to their opinion
Memorising parts for this songs is what most Wicked fans have nailed. They wouldn't be in the industry if they couldn't remember the parts simple as that
I really think the chorus did best in this video. They were displaying so much more emotion and excitement.
I felt neither of them fit the role well. I recently Wicked on Broadway starring Jackie Burns as Elphaba and Amanda Jane Cooper as Glinda and they were 100 times better. It was amazing! than the women in this video, and of course Kristin and Idina are the best. But these women.... no.
@Kacey Hamsher Totally disagree! The original cast is amazing but these two did a great job. There are others who do well you can also see on UA-cam.
%100 agree
I agree but the Elphaba was okay. Especially when she tried to imitate Glinda. 😂
did this seem faster to anyone else?
i’m 5 years late.......
2020 anyone?
2021!
This is so perfect! Megan & Eden are the best G/E in my opinion
I liked Megan as Glinda lol
I love how Glinda does 318-3:25
2019?? 😘😂
Here from Dream Team 💟
Me and my friend are are auditioning with this song together I’m Glinda
