Great video Les superb footage looked very cold , also looked very quite not many passengers about , but excellent stuff Les many thanks for turning out stay safe & warm a t b Syd👍
A real coincidence seeing Ariadne & Diana running, together. HMS Ariadne was the last steam powered surface ship built for the Royal Navy & HMS Diana was the last "conventional" destroyer built for the Royal Navy, too. Both ships built by Yarrows, at Scotstoun.
Amazing of different locos 37403 is in Carlisle 8th February and 8th march I any of those Saturdays your there I might come down as well especially for 403
Interesting selection as usual Leslie. I wonder whose decision it was to send the "Thunderbird" o0n a route learning exercise considering the bad weather that was about??
Too cold for trainspotting at the moment Leslie -5c in Chester last night and we still have ice/snow on the ground. Hopefully it will be warmer next week. Take care and keep warm.😊👍💗
One container on the TESCO train will be carrying Easter eggs. Our local big shop had them on the first weekend in Jan. Easter is late this year April18/20/21( bk. hol. , Good Friday Easter Sunday and Easter Mon.). The latest it can be is April 23/25/26 and the earliest March 19/22/23 (from Synod of Whitby 664)( the weekend after the full moon after the spring equinox cause only 1% of population could actually read in 664 and is independent of any man made calendar system, the exception being the defining of week length and week end (7 days).
Hi Leslie, as always some great footage my friend. Thanks for sharing.

That is a coincidence. Of course, its something that might have been seen 50 years ago on the Woodhead route

Really good video. What is in the Tankers heading for Aberdeen? Hope you had a good hot toddy when you got home
Thanks. The tanks are empty but take imported china clay to Workington Docks for transfer to a nearby paper mill

We had down to -5 but the snow was light and soon went. The frost was another thing!
