- Not all gasoline is created equal.
And that's what led the Motoring TV team to the Shell Technology Center in Houston, where the company broke down what separates its new Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline from the rest of the pack.
(This segment originally appeared on Episode 22 of Motoring 2015.)

"When a engine is first started that's when the engine is at its best" ???? I'm pretty sure after the engine break in that's when it's at best.
Exactly what I was thinking!
I use shell v - power daily! all my cars run strong daily! thats true to my cars
Ever heard of Seafoam or Chevron Techron?
Seafoam is maintenance is a can! Lol
@@MandusahRamirez Works every time, for me at least, with not an issue to be had.
I used Chevron Techron high mileage fuel system cleaner on my 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 and if I'm not mistaken after the first use she sounds better while idling and seems to perform a little better. I got the exact same result using Chevron techron fuel system cleaner on my 2005 infiniti G35. Would definitely recommend.
Just buy a old Japanese car and run cheap fuel and it will last forever.
My japanese engine still likes 93 more than 87.
The shittiest thing about shell, and this might just be gas station design.. and I could be wrong about this.. but Say the guy before you gets 87 and you want 91.. Woudlnt the hose be filled with 87 so youd get a couple liters or so of shit fuel in with your good stuff? Wouldnt the good shit just be cleaning away what the hosefull of poop fuel just put in?!!?
Wretched Slippage it's not like that here in the UK. The designer of these pump in the UK have this thing called a brain.
You'd get about a quart of regular 87 octane left in the hose before the premium starts pumping. Use the same pump the Mercedes used.
My car only drinks VPOWER and I only drink sparkling water.
Ditto 😂👌👍
Thank you come again.
Would you like a squishy?
Corrosion it's one thing. Performance it's another, cleaning Another...
But; VPower works better in HIGH compression ratio.
Very insightful. Only Shell V Power Nitro + for my supercharged S2000 and NA Corolla from now on.
Fuck yeah s2000.
I have a Nissan 370Z(VQ37VHR engine) with about 28K miles on it and I've been using Shell V-Power Nitro+ exclusively since shortly after I got it; I used Chevron Supreme initially for a few months. The Shell gas seems like good gas but I still get deposit buildup on the intake valves, to the point where my idle runs less smoothly and my engine stumbles on a warm restart. What I did to correct it is to use Redline Si-1 fuel system cleaner, one bottle to the tank, just before my 3K mile oil change and that smoothed out the idle and eliminated the restart problem for about 2K miles. What I have finally one is to add 1/2 of a bottle of the cleaner at the 1500 mile mark and to dose each tankful at 1.5 oz per 10 gal of fuel. The car now runs perfectly with no roughness or performance issues. My engine has always run very cleanly, using virtually no oil between changes and with hardly any soot buildup in the tailpipes.
The point here is that no matter how much Shell hypes their "wonder gas" it still is not perfect.
Good feedback thanks.
My life is simple. I see an Indian scientist behind it, I’m buying the fuel.
Lmao. I thought the same thing.
Design u r showing isn’t direction injection ...so ur shown design don’t work in modern cars ..
I use Chevron in my 2013 (GDi) Genesis Coupe 3.8 and she seems to perform very well and feels incredibly healthy. I also use Chevron fuel system cleaner every once in a while which seems to work great!! After using Chevron high mileage fuel system cleaner my car sounds like it idles healthier than before hand.
All gasoline IS created equal. It's the additives that make the difference.
In a car with a knock sensor and feedback loop, shell vpower will make your car go faster.
How to disconnect to charter's downtown building in Anderson South Carolina
Since 2017 Belgium switched from euro 95 to euro 95 E10 (10% ethanol)
They say your car needs more of it because it can produce less energy from it but I don't see any diverence
I can't stand 10% ethanol in my fuel, it makes my engine sound terrible during acceleration.
I own. 2014 xterra and use v power...once a month mid grade the others..
This is basically Seafoam gas with a slightly different chemical makeup to call it something else.
It can not clean the valve GDI engine Liars
So shell is only good if you use premium?
What did that Punjabi say ?
shell V power for my ACCORD sedan 2017 V6 from now on
I thought the time when an engine is at its absolute best is right after the break in period.
First Indian I've heard with a lisp
How racist
I used it in my 2019 srt stupidist thing I ever did
Why?

ok
Advertisement Claims? tested?
All tested and proved to be the best it works better than any other competitor and I can prove a source that proves this.
SixR Link?
My mazda 6s v6 running only on vpower for the past 4 years. Going strong with 195k. Try it & you won't be disappointed.
yup the best!
What difference with other petrol? With additives
What a fucking perfect Shell spokesperson.....so easy to understand with the accent/lisp
shell vpower is a gimmick, doesnt do what it says it does
No it's not it's a proven fact that it works better than any other competitor I can even provide a source that proves this.
SixR i ran my own test and shell v power nitro actually did a massive 70 miles less than a supermarket brand premium fuel
Well you're wrong because my source comes from Engineering explained and they tested the same car models and one was using another competitors gas and one was using V power and V power actually worked better than the competitor so no V power is better.
SixR then can you explain why i got 70 miles less on my motorbike than i did with momentum 99 and the level of riding in both experiments, just a simple commute to work
SixR you do realise that motorbikes run on unleaded fuel as well as cars lol, my handbook clearly states use premium 99 octane fuel which is what nitro+ is
