Just came here to say that Justin has become one of my primary sources for guitar lessons. He's by far the best out of anyone I've found online. Easy to understand and straight to the point. Keep it up Justin!
Thank you Justin, you're a legend mate. After over 10 years of picking the guitar up only to put it back down frustrated never getting past the point of simple chord strumming, I've very quickly got to the point where it only took me about 10 mins to get this down almost perfectly. I've been using your video lessons for about 2 months and I've learned more than in my previous 10 years. It's so easy to get disillusioned if you don't feel you're progressing but thanks to you I really believe I will continue to enjoy and improve on the guitar for many years to come. :-)
I still watch the original tutorial of this great song several times a month. It's what got me interested in playing guitar. Your videos were and are an inspiration. Keep up the amazing work!
The reason I started playing the guitar 6 years ago was because I heard this song and loved it so much that I had to know what it was like to plat it, and your original tutorial for this song is what taught me. You made me love guitar and it has evolved ever since :D thank you!!
You will probably never see this but im really thankful for you because i dont have time to go to lessons and just play whenever i can and you have helped me so much
Have you tried getting a poster or book worth all the chords and practices them? Her player classical guitar since 3 and as I grew older I rebelled and my mother said classical lessons or outing at all said Wanna be!? A month later I could play any song as long he as a heard it once.
Just hauled this one out for the 1st time in years. It was the 1st song I learned almost 6 years ago. Trying to relearn it with some nuances. So hard not to play it like the beginner I was when I learnt it. My hands just want to go into super simple automatic mode. Guitar has so many levels. You are always learning
You are by far the most thorough of teachers online. We are blessed to have you Justin. Thanks for another wicked lesson dude keep up the awesome work man u kick ass!!!
Save Tonight...best lesson I have seen for awhile. That is outstanding teaching and breakdown for Eagle EyeC. I have worked with the song before but abandoned it till my skill level came up. Been about a year. Think I will pull it out again. My skill should be close enough to get close with your lesson..Thanks this is a peach of a song.
Am I the only one who feels you did it better than original? Just watch Eagle-Eye Cherry Unplugged, and you'd see the difference. Damn, you are too good
hey justin. the first time you did this lesson was one of the major inspirations for me to get a guitar. i practised for days and got it sounding okay and serenaded my girlfriend. i still do to this day. thanks, Justin
No wonder why when I play it just doesn't sound quite the same as the original. All these little tricks has made a huge difference. Will keep practising. Thanks for sharing!
Another banger. 🙂 One thing that I find very helpful in the more recent videos you do, Justin, is to say the chord change while singing the song. It's super helpful to know where the lyrics are placed on songs where the words don't perfectly match the beat. You weren't doing that yet on this video, but still great tutorial. I like this strumming rhythm way better than the one I was using. Peace!
You have a feeling to play songs in a way they just sound "right". Love your tutorials and i am subscribed to your app. Yours a 39 year old starter ;-)
Thank you so much for the lesson. By the time you got to hammer-ons I was having the broadest smile on my face. This stuff makes me happy indeed. :) Cheers!
Argh!!! I can't play that G to save my life, my little finger goes mental and will not go where it's supposed to. It's so frustrating! But thank you Justin, two months in and I happily playing most songs up to stage four, it's just this god damn G!
This is a great re-work of your original lesson on this great song. I managed to learn this song from that original but I like the way you add the little complexities of the strum, hammer-ons, etc slowly bit by bit. I learned something new about this song from this new video, so mission accomplished. I like you doing this sort of thing. Which earlier lesson are you going to re-work next, I wonder?
Good tip if you’re struggling with the strumming: it’s the exact same pattern as the first bar of the wonderwall strumming pattern, its just a different timing E.G. (Em7) DDD DUD (G) UDDDU
Started playing around 1 month ago, I have no idea how the hell I should do such fast strumming and chord changes at once... Alot of practice I quess ... ^^
You should do a cover of this song. The way you played it made it as good if not better than the original. Im still trying to learn this song (still stuck at the chord changes)
First off - thanks Justin; you are a true blue Guitar HERO. What is that "light" muting called? I love it - I find it so dramatic. I want to master it! It's also used in Taylor Swift's "Never Ever Getting Back Together."
I love this channel so much. No other website or resource comes remotely close to this quality.i just have one question when you say on the beat we palm mute which strums would it be on? Like which specific up strums and down strums?
It's amazing how fast you can forget that you learned a song. I learned this like two months ago well enough to do it well and sing along, but then I stopped doing it for a month or so and completely forgot about it until it showed up on my Facebook again. Is something wrong with me? Haha.
with Christmas coming up do you think you could do "it doesn't have to be that way" by Jim Croce. I think there's a lot to learn from that song. You do a Great job! Thanks very much

it sounds soo damn good with you playing and muting just the right amounts, my lifelong goal now is to sound like this one day before I die
If you keep practicing, you will definitely achieve your goal 👍
you are a modern miracle my man

I have the book for 3 years, but somehow I missed this song... ! Now busy getting into this tune, what a nice song it is, thanks Justin
Thanks for giving me so many tools over the years , Justin. Cheers from Tampa, FL
Justin...you have the best explanation to build from solid foundation then start dancing the strings till it all comes together. Thanks
So glad, dear Justin, that you returned to Beginners songbook! Thanks very much INDEED!

Really the Awesome tutorial
This lesson is indeed a lot better than the earlier version, thanks a lot
not only do you teach great songs, you also introduce me to great songs I might not have heard otherwise
I have watched quite a lot of tutorials for this song, and his version is the only one that sounds right :D
That's random - I watched your old cover of this today and started to learn! Now I have a brand spanking new cover .. Lovely!
And now it's 6 years old already
Perfect beginners song, four simple chords, easy.
Yo I quit lesson for 2yrs came back now I'm playing it 1day later. Good job thanks. 1/23/21

I couldn't hear what you were doing until you chanted "one and two and-a three-ee and four and-a." Perfect!
No wonder why when I play it just doesn't sound quite the same as the original. All these little tricks has made a huge difference. Will keep practising. Thanks for sharing!

Been working on this 2 weeks straight. It sounds so good when you play it. I need to figure out the palm muting.
You have a feeling to play songs in a way they just sound "right". Love your tutorials and i am subscribed to your app. Yours a 39 year old starter ;-)

This is a great re-work of your original lesson on this great song. I managed to learn this song from that original but I like the way you add the little complexities of the strum, hammer-ons, etc slowly bit by bit. +Tzadeck happens to all of us I guess :\ (at least me too)
+Tzadeck I'm the exact opposite, if I hear a tune it sticks like glue whether I like it or not. Wonderwall = rip brain.
@@marcusalx poor
Love it bro
Easy song as in easy chords but indeed to make it sound like the way Justin plays it is a lot of work and isn't at any beginner's reach
+Arnaud DELORD just break it down into small chunks and build on it. it will come
@@abedfo88 tell me you are certain, I am a beginner and going to start working on it? Can I really get it?
It's amazing ! Thank you so much ! You are the best ! =)
I would give this video several more likes if I could... Great job, gotta start learning after I wake up :D
My girlfriend thinks you're a 'nice man' 👍🎸
I’d be checking for messages to and from Justin
@@jamieswain7290 LMAO!!!
