I love the game and even wrote a review on it. I personally believe it's the best non-traditional social deduction game out there but the rulebook, lack of player aids, reliance on symbols, and challenging setup is preventing me from bring this out more often then I would like.

The Setup is feeling longer than the game😅but I like this game. In the second kickstarter you get the book token in wood for free😊
My younger cousins who love Among Us would love this
It's funny you mentioned you don't play social deduction games anymore. As you said, Among Us, like Among Cultists (maybe on purpose?), is a lot about who went where while trying to fulfill their goals.
And then the actual deduction of stuff instead of just "you looked at me funny" is VERY MUCH Blood on the Clocktower, though in that one you're never FULLY sure something did happen (but you can be 95% sure sometimes). And so is not being removed from the game

How is it with 4 players?
You have to include an ai player. Not tried it myself but I wouldn’t want to
Does the game actually play different than the video from No Rolls Barred? That video made it look like the end result is pretty much random in that game and what you have to do is pretty much set in stone and railroaded and doing anything different is making your win condition harder. There didn't seem to be actually a reason by traitors not to spoil as much as possible with no real bluffing needed.
Those playthrough videos including the Quackalope videos were example at low skill play. The actual game you want to avoid encounters with other players, so any players intentionally causing encounters or purposefully put themselves in high traffic areas (like the green room or cafeteria) is either dumb or a cultist
