Looks a lot more straight-forward and understandable rules compared to the other Paradox-videogame boardgames. Where the other ones appear like attempts to translate the videogame mechanics to the table, this one looks like a card game themed/inspired-by the videogame; and in my mind that makes it a lot more appealing to play (than the others where I'm not sure why you wouldn't just play the video-game instead).
Did they ever put Boardgame info like no. of players in thumbnail?
Would be rather handy..
The components looked a little cheap! Hope the game is fun though. I love the IP!
Besides the IP, this has nothing in common with the PC game.
I think they didn't want to just keep copying the other x-com style board games out there. And since the pc game is just Stellaris but x-com, they had to change mechanics to suit a boardgame.

@littlekong7685 The game is a sci-fi version of fantasy Age of Wonders, Age of Wonders 1 is from 1999 it is way older and nothing like Stellaris?
Whoever thought this would be a cash grab, because of the name of the game, really messed up. Will not sell to absolutely no one!

8.5 and higher is a Seal of Excellence. :)
@Zee, love your videos. Just a little suggestion: Try to let the other reviewers get in a word. It was about two thirds into the video that Camilla got to say more than the occasional "yes, I agree".
@Noonycurt, you're harsh and unfair: the review starts at 7:45 and Camilla did share her opinion about the game at 8:23 and 10:43.
Someone generally takes the 'lead' overall. They can't both be talking simultaneously
@jaesaxelorr: Sure, but "taking the lead" should not mean talking most of the time.
@konstantinaviutskii: You are right, I missed the first couple of sentences she said. However, there were a couple of times when I though Camilla wanted to say something and Zee would just continue talking and change to a different subject.
Played a demo at Essen. One of the most bland and forgettable games I’ve played in a while. Entirely themeless.
Not everything has to have a theme to be good. Now if you think it was slapped on for cash grab that's a different story
