Oh My-lanta! I am in the process of re-packaging my additives into air-sealed jars and questioning myself because, apparently, I didn't buy enough jars and containers. So, of course, I am asking myself if I have too much, maybe I have a problem. And then I click on to this video and I now realize that my actual problem is that there are additives out there I haven't played with and I just need more space. Lots more space. Freaking soap nuts! How have not played with that yet?! BLUE CLAY?! Very awesome! I love when you get all experimental!
OMG I totally burst out laughing at the "NO Shit!" comment at the activated charcoal segment! If I had a dollar for every time I blurted that out for some person correcting somebody else in a soaping post, I'd be rich! ;) Loved the video and results! I like the Rhassoul the best, I like to add to my shampoo bars too. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! My fave samples are rhassoul clay and amla powder. I actually gave rhassoul I haven’t used yet. Love using clays and didn’t realize they bump up lather.
For the epoxy in your hair you could try applying olive oil to epoxy hair, work in good, let sit for about 1/2 hour, work in good, and shampoo hair. Hopefully that works. This has helped me get super glue out of my hair when i accidentally got my ponytail in the glue when working on a project.
I think I may have to try that Cambria. My oldest loved the French Clay and Rhassoul bars I made for him. He said that the French Clay helped tame the pain from his sunburn and the Rhassoul helped his acne. I don't know if it was simply a psychosomatic reaction, but whatever... maybe it's the placebo effect, maybe not.
@@MrsSoapAndClay That's kind of how I felt about it too. ; ) Now... I did love making a mask out of the French Clay for myself and my daughter. That was refreshing!
Don't understand the dislikes... WTF people?? But anyways it helps the algorithm so meh! I personally don't like the activated charcoal in my skin it's like very rough and I get pimples every time but I still use it and are one of my best sellers. I order like half a pound of Rhassoul and it's supposed to arrive this weekend and now I'm more eager to try it! Have you ever heard how some Peruvian natives (I'm really sorry I don't know if they are Incas or another kind of natives, here in Mexico we have a lot and I don't want to be disrespectful to anyone) washes their llama fur? They also use it to wash their hair, they use a cheese grater and grate some yuca (yucca) root add water and use it, when I first saw you using the soap nuts it reminded me instantly to the yucca. I want to try to get some yucca root to see if I can make a soap with it. You should try it too!!
Lol … came in to read your reply and noticed that my autocorrect changed a word on my comment lol … it was supposed to say “indebted to you” … thank you!
Last year I made a peach and mango soap (yes, I mixed the sodium hydroxide with peach and mango purees) with Rhassoul clay and I was told that it helped clear up a customer's facial acne.
Rhassoul is a must for my shampoo bars, love it. Used the Cambria on a soap and was amazing, just not the color I was expecting though, thank you for sharing
Thanks for another interesting video. A question about clays in soap. You've mentioned that they make a harder bar, but do you know if they add to the longevity of the soap in the shower? Thanks again.
In my tests, I have found that clays increase the shower life of soap when used in large amounts. A teaspoon or tablespoon or whatever it is for “scent sticking” doesn’t change longevity much.
Hey! There are loads of recipe vids on the channel that explain this better, but I usually do 2.4x lye for water and superfat the majority of my recipes between 3-8%. Have fun!
Hello Beloved, Sorry to hear that about your hair, from now one when workint with those sortsof items, 7se disposable shower caps God willing. Lastly Use Olive Oil or Coconut Oil, Peanut Butter, work it in then 7se a fine tooth comb and gently comb it out and let me know if it comes out God willing. Awesome using the blue Clay yass
Awesome Video as usual. Would you recommend using any of these in a natural deodorant to assist with dryness? Looking forward to your recipes video for your solid deodorant. Fingers crossed you will be doing one soon. You have so much knowledge - #teamsoapandclay.
I liked the Vambrian Blue and the Soap Nut, (can't remember the spelling of that one). Those are my 2 favorites! Where would you buy the Cambrian Blue, you said it was Russian. I don't know where you'd buyRussian products? Maybe Amazon? This was a very interesting and educational video. Thanks for all the info! Jill Gross

I'm gonna start getting creative af just because of these dry additive videos. You're just a soapy muse and I love it. ❤
We have several soap nut trees here on the ranch. They are full of soap nuts right now.
Great video! My fave samples are rhassoul clay and amla powder. I actually gave rhassoul I haven’t used yet. Love using clays and didn’t realize they bump up lather.
Wow!! Such luxurious lather on all of them!!!
activated charcoal soap makes me *chefs kiss* love black soap for some reason
Me too!

Got these little molds the other day … so looking forward to making my sample packs! Yet another thing I’m endeared to you for … 😊
They’re so much fun!

I just purchased rhassoul, love it. I wonder how they would work in combination.

Soapnut powder is also good for treating head lice 🤗 hey Mrs. SOAP AND clay, it's been a while since I've been on the tube
Welcome back!

My husband loves the activated charcoal soaps that I make
May I ask your water to lye ratio? And did you add superfat because you used some of your base oils to dissolve the clays?
Hey! There are loads of recipe vids on the channel that explain this better, but I usually do 2.4x lye for water and superfat the majority of my recipes between 3-8%. Have fun!
Do you know how much soap fills all the cavities of 1 mold.

Thanks for introducing me to it!
