You’re my favorite bourbon channel on here! I love the history and easy to follow reviews. Thank You! 1- Knob Creek 12 Year Old $55 - just awesome with flavors I had never tasted before. I can’t believe I like it more than their single barrel which I love. JB is My favorite distillery! 2- Four Roses Small Batch Select $59- dark chocolate bomb . Easy to find in my area, but Jason’s Remus selection is a great substitute. 5- Old Forester Rye $23! I know it’s not a bourbon, but it’s so good and cheap! Get some. It’s ridiculously good for $23. Sweet and unlike any other rye. OF is my second favorite distillery. 1920 is awesome to me as well. I’d like to add that it sucks that the average Joe cannot get their hands on good stuff like William Larue Weller or Pappy.

I’ve always loved bourbon more than other spirits but have gotten much more into it during the pandemic, buying a range of about 20 different bourbons-and I couldn’t agree more with your top two, though I’d give the slight edge to Rare Breed. My favorite bourbon to date. If there was a “bourbon that has surprisingly grown on me and now one of my faves” I’d pick New Riff Single Barrel. Great list Jason. Haven't spotted Chattanooga and Remus here in California yet, hopefully someday. Fortunately Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace are everywhere here 👍

Your content is just always top-notch, man. I agree that 1920 is one of the best bourbons I've had and the fact that is' on the shelves most of the time is fantastic. Rare breed is another gem. The KC 120 store picks blow my mind too so I always look out for them. Haven't had Chattanooga yet, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for it. Cheers, Jason.
Before watching this video, my 3 most recent purchases were Knob Creek 9 year, Russell's Reserve SiB (my favorite), and OF 1920 - all based on recs and 'Best of' lists. All delicious, all affordable. Can't wait to try the Chattanooga and the Geo Remus now. Jason, keep up the great work and keep bringin' that knowledge, Brother. MUCH appreciated. Cheers!
Jason I absolutely enjoy your videos. You are a great presenter. You keep your videos straight forward and right to the point. And most importantly you are honest. I really appreciate your info and have made some purchases based on it. Keep up the good work !!!

Got bottle of Blantons yesterday. First time ever saw it in South Florida. 69$ not bad. Great video. First couple hard go find but the rest are great picks.
@@downstg I agree, I have 2 bottles of knob creek 12. Just grabbed blantons because its much harder to find at least in South Florida. This is the first time i seen a bottle in a store in about 5 years.
Nice picks. Availability does vary. I would go with (in alphabetical order): 1. Eagle Rare 2. Evan Williams Single Barrel 3. High West American Prairie 4. Maker's Mark 46 Barrel Proof 5. Old Forester 1920 In CA, I've found all of these at Costco and/or Target on a regular basis.
Thanks for doing this series. I have given up even trying to get my hands on a bottle of Weller after two different liquor stores told me that they 'might' put me on the list if I spent $1000 a month. I have been drinking the Knob Creek for a while now and quite happy with the extra $$ in my pocket.
Dude that Coopers is a solid pour. Thanks for letting us know. Super Carmel and sweet kind of like a cross between a wheat and Old Forester... good call migo!
Really helpful! Thanks for these videos. Helps tremendously in sifting the hype of bottles and knowing you don’t have waste time or break the bank to enjoy a good bourbon. Cheers!
I guess Im late to the party, I just opened my first Old Forester 1920 to taste as I sat down to watch this. Im still kinda new to this bourbon tasting. SURPRISE, it's your number one. I could not place part of that nose until you said banana. Thanks, love the content, just subbed. Now I recognize bananas foster over ice cream. good stuff
I was in TN a few months ago visiting family. We decided to stop by the local liquor stores. Just by chance I met a guy that recommended Chattanooga 91/111 and Remus Repeal Reserve. What a lucky break because I was going to pass on both!! The 111 is the way to go.
Good list Jason. Only one I have is the George Remus but haven’t opened it yet. Although I haven’t tasted anything on the list, I say it’s good because I can walk into any liquor store in my area and find most of these. If not, I can go to another and find it there. I got some shopping to do! Take care man and keep up the great work.
Outstanding list, Jason. I just picked up the Knob Creek 9 yr the other day and I'm going to pour it into a personalized bottle I got when I visited the distillery two years ago. Old Forester 1920 is a big winner for me as well as the Rare Breed. You turned me on to Chattanooga Whiskey, so I owe ya one that recommendation. George Remus is not one of my faves, but that was a while ago and at that price point, I might give it a second look. In accordance with your available and single distillery criteria my Top 5 would be: 5. WT Russell's Reserve 4. Old Forester 1920 3. Evan Williams Single Barrell 2. Four Roses Small Batch Select 1. Elijah Craig.
The KC, WTRB, and OF 1920 are my three favorites for availability. Also the Remus I haven’t had the 94 proof because I got a barrel proof GR a couple years ago, and I’m looking for another. I haven’t had the Chattanooga 111 but do have a tawny port cask finished. The only thing I can think of that might replace the the Chattanooga is Woodford Double Oaked or Wilderness Trail. Great list. Don’t chase the over hyped!
Wow Jason, right on point again. OF 1920 and Rare Breed are always on bar. I’ll be on the lookout for Remus and Chattanooga. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate you. I would add in Hank McKenna and Eagle Rare. I can generally find them around south Jersey.
Really enjoy your videos. Been learning a lot and have ordered many of your top picks. Would you consider a video on food to pair with bourbon? Sitting around sipping bourbon all night is fun, but my wife tells me I need something else in my stomach!
Top 5 go-tos that are always available here: Makers 46, Four Roses SB, Angel's Envy, Rebel Yell, and Eagle Rare. 1920 and Rare breed unfortunately are not always available here so they don't qualify. Cool video, thanks.
Anytime I hear taste notes, all I can think about is Matt from Its A Southern Thing. “I’m picking up notes of honey, caramel, vanil....I’m just kidding. Just smells like alcohol. That’s it!” That’s how I am with my tasting notes, I’m not experienced enough to pick apart notes yet. Hopefully one day!
“Well, those are the guys waiting in line for Blantons...” hahah dead. Thanks Jason!
So much shade. Enjoyed that.
I bought case in 2019.

@@downstg I agree, I have 2 bottles of knob creek 12. Just grabbed blantons because its much harder to find at least in South Florida. This is the first time i seen a bottle in a store in about 5 years.
Nice picks. Availability does vary.
I would go with (in alphabetical order):
1. Eagle Rare
2. Evan Williams Single Barrel
3. High West American Prairie
4. Maker's Mark 46 Barrel Proof
5. Old Forester 1920
In CA, I've found all of these at Costco and/or Target on a regular basis.
Heres my picks, Larceny - Heaven Hills, Jeffersons Ocean - Castle, Redemption - Bardstown, Bulliet - Diago, Yellowstone - Limestone.
Definitely A Knob Creek guy. Going to give the Old Foster a shot!
Thanks for doing this series. I have given up even trying to get my hands on a bottle of Weller after two different liquor stores told me that they 'might' put me on the list if I spent $1000 a month.
I have been drinking the Knob Creek for a while now and quite happy with the extra $$ in my pocket.
Solid list. Rate Breed is a fantastic pic, I love all the Wild Turkey upper end stuff. Delicious and always available.

Now I recognize bananas foster over ice cream. good stuff
Jason, Another GREAT list for value and availability. Enjoyed that Rare Breed roll as part of those B Rolls!! CHEERS!!
Nice list. The last three have been staples on my shelf. Never tried the first two. Will be checking them out.
Nice, Good all around selection. It proves you still can get a good Bourbon at a decent price.
My top go to and available bourbons:
1. Legendary Duke
2. Jefferson’s Reserve
3. 1792 small batch
4. Four Roses single barrel
5. Angel’s Envy
Good deal, a couple new ones to try. Thanks, Jason
Thanks brother for video I’m new to bourbon I love it. The Chattanooga & Knob creek definitely gonna try… 👍🏼
I saw the Chattanooga 111 on your page a few months back and it has become my favorite go to! Great video!
Definitely agree on Rare Breed (easily #1) and OF 1920 (dessert of choice); others would be Noah's Mill, OGD 114, and Four Roses SB.
Nice line-up Jason C ...Cheers.
I was in TN a few months ago visiting family. We decided to stop by the local liquor stores. Just by chance I met a guy that recommended Chattanooga 91/111 and Remus Repeal Reserve. What a lucky break because I was going to pass on both!! The 111 is the way to go.
"Those guys wait in line for Blanton's" Nuff said.

I like Blanton’s… 😕
Good list Jason. Only one I have is the George Remus but haven’t opened it yet. Although I haven’t tasted anything on the list, I say it’s good because I can walk into any liquor store in my area and find most of these. If not, I can go to another and find it there. I got some shopping to do! Take care man and keep up the great work.
You picked three of my favorites!!

Great list thanks. Haven’t tried a couple and will now if I can find. The OF 1920 and KC are regulars on my shelf.
Thanks! Haven't had Chatanooga or the George Remus...time to go shopping!
Outstanding concept, great picks too. I will go Maker's 101, Four Roses small batch, Old Forester 1920, Rare Breed, and Michters

I would have swapped #1 and #2, but Rare Breed and 1920 are awesome. I’m so happy that they are always in the store.

Thank you for this top 5 available list. Great content as always.
Yes! I'm so digging this channel and this video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for all you do dude!!
Thanks for the George remus pick
Great selects, I’d add woodford reserve double oak & 4 roses single barrel

Rare breed over Longbranch? Icouldn't decide between the two on which to try but I was so impressed with Longbranch.
Really enjoy your videos. Been learning a lot and have ordered many of your top picks. Would you consider a video on food to pair with bourbon? Sitting around sipping bourbon all night is fun, but my wife tells me I need something else in my stomach!
OGD 114, Wild Turkey 101, 1792 small batch, WT rare breed and Woodford double oaked.
Another great video. Living in New England I wonder how many of them are available for me.
Breed is just magical....I also think a sleeper is Beam's single barrel, great taste for just s few pesos
I tasted so much banana taffy in mine. Good but not a fav.
Those smooth bottle slide intros tho

Smooth AF
Top 5 go-tos that are always available here:
Makers 46, Four Roses SB, Angel's Envy, Rebel Yell, and Eagle Rare.
1920 and Rare breed unfortunately are not always available here so they don't qualify.
Cool video, thanks.
I always keep a bottle of the 1910 and 1920 on hand
Anytime I hear taste notes, all I can think about is Matt from Its A Southern Thing. “I’m picking up notes of honey, caramel, vanil....I’m just kidding. Just smells like alcohol. That’s it!” That’s how I am with my tasting notes, I’m not experienced enough to pick apart notes yet. Hopefully one day!
Excellent list. 👍🏻
The top 3 is without a doubt excellent choices! I would take Russell's Reserve SB over Rare Breed, but you can't go wrong with either one.
