Bought a T5i Rebel in 2017. I still use it alot. The lenses I use are 18-135mm STM, 50mm 1.8 STM, 24mm 2.8 STM and all can take amazing shots. You can own a $3000 camera and produce bad photographs. This is not the camera which make a good shot, but a good photographer. This is still a very capable camera in 2021.
Got one in 2022 for $250. Still strong. Came with 18-55mm Mk II. Got 4 lens there after: 55-250mm STM, 50mm 1.8 STM, 24mm 2.8 STM, and 55-135mm STM.
Got my T5 for years. This just conviced me to KEEP this camera. Great informations!!!

The T5 rebel was my first DSLR camera and I instantly fell in love with photography.. I gave it to my dad when I bought my Sony a6100.. He never uses it so I recently got reacquainted with my first love 👍🏾

@@rodrigoosorioporras7029 it’s ok but it doesn’t have an input for a mic so the audio isn’t that good but if your shooting music videos or videos where you have to edit the audio in post then you should be good until your ready to upgrade. If you have an extra couple of hundred to spend I would get a camera where there is an audio input for an external microphone though
Got the T5i when it came out. Started shooting again in 2022 when I came back from deployment. I was unsure if I wanted to upgrade to a full frame, but I fell back in love with my good ld T5i. I really love it!

I found one of these in my basement basically untouched in perfect condition- I can’t wait to try it out! I’ve never used a nice camera before!

Did not find one in basement. But found one at a thrift store with the kit lens, bag, and 300mm sigma lens for $40. In almost perfect condition. I know it's older, but it was an upgrade for me.

I found this video curious georging on UA-cam for T5 vs T7 breakdowns to see other opinions out of boredom. I actually started on a little Sony HX80, then bought my first ever DSLR (the T7), sold it, and got my 90D. Funny enough, someone generously gave me a T5 to use/sell for my business, so I now have the predecessor. 😂
I’m curious how noticeable the 6mp difference will be, and if I can even tell a difference with the two. Lol
Lol it’s definitely different at night you will see some distortion for sure but it is honesty pretty sharp for what it is

I was gonna get the Canon T5i but I came across a steal deal from a woman who was selling her Canon T5 with 3 lenses 18-55mm 75-300mm and a 50mm all for 250 on price including the charger and a 8gb SD card... She had only taken 3000+ pictures, so I jump on it and bought I love this camera for what it is it takes pretty good photos!!! How are you liking your T5?
@@AlwaysEeepy That is so funny you just wrote me! I have had covid for the past month and have only taken a few pics, but i LOVE it! I just now started charging my battery to go shoot some airliner pics. I have to let it sit outside for about 15 mins due to humidity fogging the lens but overall its the best camera I have ever had. Sounds like you got a bargain! I am going to use it for my airplane workshops. I waited two years till I found a great deal. Oh and mine is the T5 also. Thanks and best of luck!

The only dislike I have on this camera is in low light if your subject or object is dark the focus just bounces, I haven't tried it threw live view yet though.

Never doubt yourself trust me take photos of what you love and don’t worry about what anyone else is doing or how their photos came out it takes practice and we will fail sometimes but that’s apart of the game of photography 🙏🏽 send me some amazing photos on my Instagram when you go out and shoot would love to see them

Hey! Great Video! I bought a Boya MM1 Microphone, but the 3.5mm headphone jack doesn't go in the camera. Is it true that I need to buy a 3.5 to mini usb adaptor in order to use the microphone? Thanks!
Heyyy I believe so I’ve never tried a microphone but I’ll definitely try the adapter

I have a sony a6400 for filmmaking. I still use my Canon T6 for photography (Canon colors are crisp for portraits)

You can spend $10 and get the iphone car reader adapter and download the pics strait to your camemra
What Canon app I use to get photos from my T5 to my phone?
It doesn’t have Bluetooth gonna have to upload them on a pc
Can you use it as webcam ?
Does it have HDMI port ?
Does the video output on HDMI is clear without overlay controls you see on the screen ?

I wouldn’t recommend for a webcam or too much for videos due to the auto focus not being crisp and also no flip up screen or out
It is my first camera too. My husband gave it to me because he was not using it😀

Oh yes for sure my older videos was filmed on this the 1080 quality looked terrific tbh the only thing that sucks it’s not mirrorless so you can’t see how you look while filming unless you have a mirror behind the camera lol but it’s perfect

If you keep doing UA-cam, you will be able to afford a T6-T7 Canon Camera...you explain very clearly and you would be great.

i have a canon rebel t5i from 2015 or 16, can’t remember. does it have the ability to transfer photos thru the app on my phone? i can’t find any wifi/bluetooth setting

I just bought this from my cousins for $200 with the lens but I have no idea what I am doing lol I did purchase the usb to transform from camera to phone... and just bought a lens today.. still no idea what I am doing 😂😂😂😂 you should do zoom or skip classes I’ll pay for it!

Hows the video quality?
Video quality isn’t bad at all! Just the focusing could be challenging not as fast when things are moving a lot but quality not bad at all for a older camera and price 1080 is great

The only way is if the camera has built in Bluetooth if it doesn’t have to do it the old school way put SD card into computer then transfer to phone :(

@@k1ll4j I just purchased the sd card reader iPhone adapter and I haven’t even gotten the camera yet lol… but while I’m out I can use connect the cord from the camera to my iPhone and have access to my photos instantly 🙂

I just bought a set card reader for my iPhone on Amazon. You connect the cord from the camera to the card reader and put the other end into the iPhone in the charger port.

Yes it’s pretty good for that just take a bit longer than some cameras to focus on the subject
