Based on each school, certain gimmick pets work differently. For instance, Myth works really well with a 5 maycast heal or 4 maycast heal and a willcast. I have found that I literally never die with this because of Myth's relatively high health when compared to schools like death, storm, and fire. As for bodies I tend to go for either Mythdactl or another blade pet, or just a windswept dryad for both the spells and looks. While maycasts are definitely RNG, it means I can go into a boss fight with the same strategy and get two different outcomes, which is the type of monkey brain playing that I like.
For me at least I feel like going for triple double even if u are hitting school is worth it. Cause i believe the 15% res is better than a minimal 8% dmg boost
I've personally always used Enchanted Armaments because I usually play with 2-3 accounts at once and the game is already easy enough as-is when taking that approach, so I spent a ton of time just making a variety of triple doubles and ward pets with Armament bodies because having sharpen blade early in the game is so nice. Regardless of if I'm solo'ing (like for the school quests you have to solo) or in a group it comes in handy. Later on once all of my accounts are in late game I may make a new set of pets on some other bodies, I know frills are hugely popular but we'll see
This is great advice for new wizards because I see a lot of new wizards that don’t use pets with a blade and it’s the best option especially for balance wizards since the blade is only 25%. Ice also needs a pet with a blade because for the first 40 levels you don’t have any blade. I also have never had really good luck with my pet talents but my balance pet is my first pet that has four damage spots and it’s still training because it’s not Mega yet.
I’m happy you said that it’s okay to use pets that don’t have ideal cards for PvE because so far all the pets I wanna hatch for Life and Myth don’t come with blades but the look of the pet is perfect. And I think I actually agree that cards aren’t that important, especially over stats. Like I have a Mega Deep Leviathan on my Storm but I rarely need to use it’s blade because I’m usually hitting by Turn 2 anyway and I’ve already got a 40% on already.
Enchanted armament is really good to for 1-76 sharpen is a game changer. Thanks Noah for trying to give the newer people some information it pains me when I’m helping someone and look at all their gear and pets and it’s all trash because they don’t look at guides enough. It use to be so much worse before kiosks I still have pets from 2011 lol and those took a lot of bribing
For me I've stopped using Frills since the bonus isn't needed anymore now thanks to the damage cap, my pets now are either ones that give a school blade or are enchanted armaments. As for talents I strongly recommend using Triple Double with mighty, been questing through Lemuria solo on my fire and thanks to the resist my pet gives I've survived more attacks than my storm did when duo questing with my ice. Only reason I'd say Triple Doubles are a lot more needed now is because for both Karamelle and Lemuria bosses have around 30 pierce or higher now, making most "best damage sets" into glass cannon since you'll lose a third of your health from like one attack. (example Scion of the Old One has 29 pierce and 142 outgoing damage and loves to spam Old One's Endgame, with a crit that attack can easily do 3k-4k damage if you aren't using resist)

Or if you have a Kroger Jewel leave out it’s talent. Fossil Avenger Set: 5% Universal 3% Fire (so 8% fire), Fossil Hunter Set: 4% Ice 6% Myth, Fossil Warrior Set: 4% Life 6% Storm.
I use frills right now but i’m planning to transfer them to the hamsters since you gain the sharpen blade the free school blade. It also looks cooler and you don’t rlly need the extra 5 percent damage from set bonus
I actually got a perfect quintuplet damage fire pet in the game which gives me an extra 30 damage and the extra damage helps a lot especially if your ice when your gear has the worst damage. For my ice I chose damage over resist on my pet since I think damage is more important than the resist because I want to hit better

What pet for each school should we start with and , most importantly and missing from other videos, why start with each pet, 2. What pet do you recommend afterwards and at what point? 3. Do we copy the only pet to the new one or vice versa 4. You recommend the "gloomy eye pet" or "Kukamonga." or "Gulture." Where do we get these pets? 5. Which hoard pets are best and when should we get them? Also, how do we get sets for armor and weapons? 6. What exactly are triple dealer pets of quint damage pets? You don't explain this very well. How do we get the pet to Quint damage? 7. What is a "triple double." The clearer , the better and please include your reasoning.
Yeah I recently made a storm and he has a triple double clamoring ghoulture with zeus gear and it's kind of goofy even without quint damage. Blasted my way to dragonspyre in no time :)
The lil' medusa is a class pet and it's one of my favorites on my myth. I just use it for the blade card and because I don't really like the ghultures or the wandering eye pets :/
Item cards are important sure, but I also am biased and I like my rat pets. The moment I saw them, nothing else mattered other than getting them to have amazing stats for my new wizards. I love my Grim Squeaker and White Rat Magician. Are the item cards the BEST? No, but they're still great and I love them anyway (2 pip hit and bubble on W.R.M. and Deer Knight on Grim) And I got very good stats on my WRM first try and it only took 2 on my GS to literally be perfect lol. Man, did I luck out on them
Meanwhile the pet you should use for pvp varies based on school, strategy, and meta. For example on my storm in 5th age I'm gonna bladestack because scion is broken in this meta so the best pet is shatter pet with fire ward death ward proof defy sniper dealer. Lol

I was JUST thinking about the kiosk problem. Kingsisle REALLY needs to fix the kiosk. Not only unusable pets in the kiosk but spending 100,000 gold over and over and over trying to get the pet you want! I’m playing on a lvl 50 right now, the gold cap is 300,000 gold and we’re supposed to farm gold for how many hours??? How many days??? To get the pet and or talents you’re going for? I pay to have FUN. Farming gold is not fun Kingsisle! Pet hatching fails are not fun! It once took 8 tries at the kiosk to get the pet I wanted. Does Kingsisle want us to resort to buying gold for hatching with crowns because that’s not happening. I’ll go play LotRO or SWTOR.
I believe someone mentioned this, but IMO it depends on your school. For me personally as a Balance, I swear by the Enchanted Armament. The sharpened blade cards are so useful, especially when you have as many blades as balance does.
If you are low lvl, get the fish quest in the commons for ice lure and head over to sky city estate (in castle tours) and start fishing for blackberry jellyfish. They sell for 8k gold each and is faster than questing to wintertusk just to farm gold
@@anthonypolise4512 mostly probably? Look for something with a good item card such as a blade. You want your stats to be high so that the traits it gets are maximum potential. Triple double is the best kind of pet, Quint damage is good but only for damaging schools.
Don't forget the Hamsters from Deckathalon! They each give a Sharpen Blade AND School Blade, which is better than any pet in the Kiosk imo

The Triton pets give you, of course, a Triton card. A nuke of that strength can be a lifesaver no matter your natural school

How low level are we talking? Because if you’re too low level you probably want to wait until you can gold farm in wintertusk first.
