Sorta related but I swear as a Life wizard waterworks might be the single largest power spike in the entire game, you literally go from doing the same amount of damage as fire (maybe more) with stupid amount of health, 100 power pip and good resist. The difference between Life WW and Ice WW is so funny.
KI really needs to fix the archmastery issue. I don't know why they haven't already, that should've been an instant fix. I assume that it's to balance PvP in a weird way, even though mainly only 1v1 is ever done anyway, but PvP should really not be affecting PvE and this really hurts PvE. With that said, I wanted to say to those who don't know of archmastery: Those school pips count as your own school and whatever school the school pip is. That means you can also use it to use power pips of another school when you're in the early levels. So if you don't have an AoE, you could train or use a TC of an AoE from another school and use the required school pips for it while still using those same pips for your own school if needed. I think this is an amazing feature, they just need to make it not interfere with your teammates (at least in PvE).
great vid but the arch mastery system is so annoying. I wish we as a community could just agree to never socket them bc all it takes to make a mirror lake or crash run a little more annoying
I always get the archmastery at lvl 15. But I also always fully complete WC on every wiz before going to Krok. Completing all WC quests (except activity quests like fishing, gardening, etc.) is an easy early gold skeleton key. I usually complete Krok as well because they are short worlds
Damage is only good but is not that great if you can hit like a truck and fizzle, so tap your accuracy first specially if you are storm or fire, even ice get that 100% believe it is that important, nothing worse that almost ready to kill a boss and you fizzle and die.
Considering that it seems almost everyone solos most of the time, I just have gear sets specifically for group activity. My near-max Myth wizard has a whole gear set specifically for becoming a Life support wizard when needed. Otherwise, I agree that it's damage all the way.
Arc 1: High health and gear that gives damage tends to be best- Arc 2: Waterworks- After that, just like... Keep your power pip and accuracy high. To be honest, you only really need around 180-190 damage endgame ESPECIALLY if you got 18-20 pierce, which is WAYYY easier to get endgame. Any higher is literally just people min-maxing. The only reason why people go hard into 220-230 damage is probably because they're not doing much else, and really those high numbers are wayyyy too painful to get. Aight, Imma go against the grain and say dont actually encourage people to go past 200 damage, because the work that takes is soo mind numbingly grindy that it kills a new player's motivation to keep playing. Most of Wiz's competition doesn't grind this hard- I'd like to think of Pierce this way: Pierce is simply another damage percent stat against enemies with resist, and there's a LOT of enemies with Universal resist. (180 fire + 20 pierce feels more like 200 damage is what I'm saying) The pierce far makes up for it- Resist shouldn't be slept on, even if it's only 20%, because it stacks with things like fortify, giving you a passive 40% resist which honestly isn't THAT bad. Things start to hit really hard in arc 3, specially when they get huge pierce numbers. Seriously, Amplify and Fortify arent bad, especially when multischooling comes into play endgame- Last underrated stat until endgame: Inc. Heal. A satyr healing around 1200-1400 gets REALLY noticeable midgame compared to around 800 healing. And it's great having a fairy heal you the same amount as base Satyr at 1/4 the pip cost-
You got a like from me just from the low level stat people should focus on and i always said the same myself with health needing to be the more focused stat early game
pro tip use pet accuracy jewel. ik u want to socket in that boon/giver as soon as u can at level 15 but trust me an accuracy jewel is gonna be so much better till you no longer need it
I hit about 100 damage at level 50 by mali gear and pet. WT craft and waterworks can fill in but tbh waterworks not really worth farming. Bazaar+wt hat/robe is pretty good, just less resist. Also crafted athame since it's hard to find the lvl56 bazaar athame, as it's a rare drop. (Check level 54 universal bazaar boots too, not just school boots)
@KaiserNoah yeah I'm on the grind quad boxing to 170... have all the 7 pets i want made just need to get the ones i need on the new accounts. ( which should be relatively easy with mega snacks. Almost have a 69 plot on each account) Am i crazy? I don't know, maybe 😂
man thanks for this, such a good video at a good time. im a pyromancer just hit lvl50 in dragonspyre and been wondering if i should have more power pip % or try to get more damage to keep one shotting mobs. theres a mistake on ur thumbnail fyi
I personally don't don't do the side worlds unless I feel like it. The exp is good, but you'll reach max level by doing only the main quest line anyway. I do recommend doing Wintertusk on one Wizard at least once so that you have access to the Wintertusk crafted gear, which will let you skip Waterworks if you want and you get it at level 56 instead of 60. Waterworks is a bit better, but I prefer the time I save with crafting most of the time.
@CASS1__ 20-40% Pierce is not that much. Get to 120% resist and have a pet with may cast heal current and fortify. You will heal back to 100% before you die. Allowing you to sleep for hours and never die
I try to get resist on some of the pets which my myth and death does. My fire has an all damage pet. My ice has 51 damage and I’m just about to do the labyrinth
@@Christmas-r7e Any pet that has a damage talent. I have multiple videos on pet training and other youtubers probably have even better ones. The pet doesnt really matter just whether it has multiple damage talents.
Advising people to use arch mastery jewels is not a good idea. If no one uses them then everyone can hit round one. Only thing in the video I didn’t like.
@@KaiserNoah outside of the new decks nothing gives archmastery that I’m aware of. But if you’re questing having base arch mastery is fine since you should be questing with players of your level with the same archmastery rating no?
@@ASD_OW When I quested through wallaru on my death for some reason i was a lower level and wasn't able to use any spells. It is what it is. I wouldn't say anything at all if KI made a good system in the first place.
I have to agree with Kaiser on this one because he's absolutely right. Death and Life are the only schools who should be focusing on arch mastery jewels simply because their aoes rely on school pips. every other school has a 4 pip or an aoe to rely without the needs of needing school pip first round: meteor, frog, blizzard, sandstorm, and tempest
@@KaiserNoah fair if you arent level capped out of novus then ig it could be different but from my experience I never have had an issue while questing but i could see that coming up and the system does suck donkey dick

Instead of that, the community should agree to demand the developers to fix archmastery.

Hi Kaizer, I know that the questline is straight forward, but when do you think it’s acceptable to do side worlds, such as Wintertusk
I usually do Wysteria after Marleybone and Wintertusk after Dragonspyre.

ice at lvl 60 isnt really too bad i was rocking 86 dmg 55 res
My humble opinion... only hp and resist matter. At 100% resist you can fall asleep for 900 hours in battle and never die

so you haven't gotten to the worlds where mobs and bosses begin having 20-40% pierce yet huh? 😂
