Yes, easily! The 'Mona Lisa' was such a disappointment in Tokyo Drift, there are/were so many better options for wheels, bodykits etc for the S15. Still hard to believe some people are fans of that car, maybe they haven't seen many in real life?

This scene with Dom is the most badass scene in the franchise, the transition from Tokyo drift to Bandoleros and seeing the Road Runner with the glowing red gauges just gives me goosebumps.
The most underrated car out of all the F&F Franchise. My God I remember this car so vividly as a kid back in 2007.
Same here, I could tell that it’s likely the very same S15 that Lucas Black originally had used when he first raced against Takeshi aka Drift King, but seeing more pictures of the car, just warms my heart and it’s just so unique.

Man this race got me so hyped up what an absolute ball buster that we didn't get to see it. The build up, the atmosphere. the music and Dom in his American Muscle. Till this day I wonder who would've actually won that race

Man after being left up in the air at the end of Tokyo Drift as to how that race went down, I was so hype to see how it actually would play out in Furious 7, only to be extremely disappointed they just don’t show it period and just have a few lines of dialogue saying how it went which really didn’t explain much at that. I’m glad to know the S15 would drift rings around dom cause I really liked the look of that car more. Also the queue up of “You’ll Be Under My Wheels” playing as the countdown to go was happening was to me one of the hypest moments in all the franchise.
If those S15s were available now,I’d probably buy one…but strictly for cruising.

I made a couple videos explaining who would win and why. Even though it's not true Dom would probably drive the Roadrunner like Ken Block drives his Hoonicorn for this race
My personal head canon for this car has been Sean rebuilt Han’s Silvia like we see it in the end and even put the RB26 back in there too truly embracing the drift culture as his own and yeah he won hands down.

I've always loved that yellow carbon hood with the silver, never seen a hood like that

Honestly reality the S15 would’ve won, but knowing Fast and Furious they would make it a tie and have Sean ask why did Dom let off at the end. Correct me if I’m wrong.

@@thezig2078 it actually would. It’s more about the driver than the car I have rode and built both and I can tell you that hemi gtx makes way more power and torque than that s15 and they take less effort to drift.

This is one of my favorite cars. Nice to know it had the go along with the show and that it's still drifting.
It feels weird, usually these cars had a story before the films, then they where recustomized for the big screen, after that, they where used back as before the films, and finally, these days are considered valuable movie cars and restored to their movie condition.
With this one, its movie car status hasn't been restored still, and I like the fact that it's doing its thing and being enjoyed by his owners, but I'm kinda scared that it might get damaged or even destroyed before it becomes the movie gem that it also deserves to be.
This Silvia S15 wasn't built for the movie.
It already existed before.

That S15 reappears in Furious 7. According to the storyline, there’s a scene where it shows Toretto and Shawn talking which is after the race from Tokyo Drift. They actually couldn’t find the s15 from Tokyo drift to use in Furious 7 so they reached out to a few s15 owners including me to recreate that car for the Furious 7 scene.

I think there's actually a behind the scenes video on UA-cam where they talk about this car. It was basically stock just with some seats, cage, paint job and I think bodykit and exhaust.
Knowing the car still has a life is heartwarming.
That car was a real beauty, one of my fav cars in the franchise

That is definitely one of my top cars in the franchise.. Craig is this the same one used on the 4th film when Brian finds out who David Park is and sees the 240 with the illegal mod on the street of those apts before Dom throws Mr. Park out the window dangling? Good choice for the vid. btw! :D
It is not. That particular S15 is more a street-styled car.
Fun tidbit, if you freeze-frame you can see that the car has some truly atrocious wheels on it that don't fit at all. Those wheels ended up on a red S2000 from Bulletproof Automotive that was supposed to be a background car but got nixed because it had no trunk and they couldn't fit in the fake drug chests for F&F4. They didn't fit there either.

My breath was taken away when I first saw Sean's end scene S15! I had no clue what it was but it looked SUPER TOP TIER AND GOD-LIKE!!! I was like "WHOA!!! LOOK AT THAT CRAZY LOOKING MACHINE!"

not gonna lie, i liked the idea of sean getting an s15 since han gave him one in the movie (to pay tribute but hey han is alive now). and it looks nice.
Was literally watching Tokyo Drift a few days ago wondering about that s15 and it’s backstory, can’t believe you uploaded a video just today about it!!
I know Matt and was in Iwakuni at the same time he was. I'm sure he saw the movie but just didn't notice the car, because the premier was a pretty big event on base. There were awesome cars setup at the theater, including my mint Icelle Blue Pearl Evo VI and a Taniguchi S15 clone. I watched the movie and didn't remember it. At the time, I think Matt was driving his Sileighty. If not, maybe he still had the Prelude.

Matt used to live one town over from me in Connecticut, he actually did a small drift expo with that car at a show we put on while it was still in movie trim prior to the 2j swap. Cool car and small world

I remember seeing the S15 go up for sale back in 2011, they posted the listing on Craigslist and was begging my stepfather to buy it. At first I actually couldn’t believe it was the actual car, but I did so much research on the car to confirm it.

I always thought the Silvia would have won. I wish in F7 they could have shown us the race between the two since we never actually got any footage of it. All we know is that Dom somehow won against Sean :P
he never should have wone aganst sean, but then again Dom always wins. one of the reasons why he's such a boring character after the first film. i liked the not knowing who won between him and sean. but F& ruined that, but then again they wend down hill fast after 3, 4 was bearable but 5 onwards were crap

As a racing fan I always liked "Mona Lisa". It has easy replicable graphics, sponsors everywhere and looks race spec. I really like the gauges in the midconsole. It is my second favorite after Brians Eclipse RS.

@@Reptile1997 Tbh I find the paint job horrible. It did not suite the Mona Lisa. Maybe if the Mona Lisa and Sean's S15 switched places, it would be more likeable to me. But remember, this is my opinion.

I had a chase to see the Wise Square silvia parked in Los Alamitos. The property it was on hosted radio control drift competitions I attended. Nice times. Quak Ly (sorry if i butchered his name) tucked the fenders on my 240 zenki when i took it in for an alignment. There was (probably still up) a, now old, video or two of him drifting on here somewhere.

I'm one of those rare people that actually was interested in the history of the prop cars in the Fast Franchise. Especially 2 Fast 2 Furious. Thankfully this prop car got its 15 minutes of fame in this video. Long live the S15.

I actually still have a photo of this car from 2011 on my phone. A friend and I had visited the shop of the then current owner, and I remember freaking out when I saw it as I didn't even know the shop had it and it's not like an S15 was common to see in the US in general.

By far my favorite version of the S15, its got a top secret look about it.... years back got introduced to this on forza motorsport 3 & 4, 1 hell of a ride! Sure seens F&F missed an oppurtunity to properly showcase this car but not surprised since the 2nd installment things got progressively wonky

The Mona Lisa paint scheme fits Han. He may have been a fan of a lot of classic American tv shows since he talked about the scene about the cowboy riding into the sunset.

@1:32 and the R34GT-R that passes Sean & Han on the freeway, was that the Signal Auto R34GT-R? Built by Kousuke Kida, the SA GT-R was apparently able to do drag racing, circuit time attack, and Shutokou runs, on street tyres with minimal modification to its street legal tuner car configuration.

The S15 did make one more cameo in FF7. I was tasked as a graphic designer to re-create the wrap for another sadly limited screen time. I still have those graphics saved to this day from the job.
In 2008-2010, can’t remember wich year exactly, there were 2 wise square s15ˋs in Germany on the drift gp at Hockenheim ring . One was white with yellow wise square graphics and the other one was grey.

This car had a sister car when Drift Speed toured them around the USA circa 2008/09. Both cars had a feature in Modified Mag from the same era
I remember the Drift Speed Nissan Silvia S15s. This was one of three of them. There was also a red and a white one. All outfitted with the Wise Square aero kits. I used to buy a bunch of RC drift parts through them. I think the company folded in the last recession which is a shame because these builds were super clean and very JDM. Plus their customer service was top notch.

When I saw this movie in cinema and when I heard Latin Bandoleros I thought 50% chance it's Dom, but when I saw a glimpse of Roadrunner, when Sean make turn into the starting line, I knew 100% it's Dom. But I thought at first it was going to be Brian when Twinkie said the race challenger knew Han.

Knew about the Drift Speed S15 well before seeing the movie. It wasn't a movie car; it was a purpose built track car.
Seeing the car at the end of the film was like an Easter Egg.

I bet that was a FUN 400hp, my friend swapped his 240sx with a sr20 and it was maybe 300 to the wheels MAYBE…. And it was so fun to drive. He had the suspension setup too.. such a car to drive. Vented yo atmosphere the turbo was insanely loud
3:35 lol that was funny but that 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner was a proper Pro Touring car (classic muscle cars with modern day performance) by Pure Vision and Nelson Racing Engines. It ended up being my favorite muscle car. I kinda like that more then any of the Chargers.
PS. I liked the final S15 too, I knew I looked more professional in the last scene but I wasn't sure at the time
I was watching Tokyo drift with about 50 people when I was in jail and this scene is coming up and I’m like “oh shit my favorite cars are coming up!” and a couple seconds before they show the TV shuts off and we go into lock down. It was so disappointing. I wish we actually got to see the race too. I remember the Roadrunner from a magazine back in the day and wanted to see it drift against Sean in the S15.
I’m one of those who would love to know more about background cars. It’s a shame we probably won’t ever know.

I love the GTR but the S15 is hands down my favorite from Nissan. Idk what it is about that car but from the first moment I saw one in Super Street magazine I knew I wanted one.
