I had never ever EVER even noticed after so many times of seeing this movie that the decal of the squares was the same car itself... Wow
Nor have I lol, I love the car but wtf were they thinking
K O U K I yea sick car but the picture of the door graphics where very strange I always thought but still liked the car
I didn’t notice until about a couple years ago when i tried to make the vinyl myself on forza. It’s really unique but why tho? Lol
can someone explain to me, i cannot find the car image 😂
Lol
"That's the Brian O'Conner school of driving right there, baby!"
RIP Paul Walker
"That's called Mutual Respect "

The warehouse scramble might be worth a video on it's own, that scene must've been a logistical nightmare...
I want to see an episode about the Ram truck (and the air/hydro kit they put on it) used when the characters were setting out the "road closed" signs.
@@harbingertheheretic3541 that part still gets me going
They also had those massive Road Armor bumpers on them.
It was.
I totally agree! I really want to know the behind the scenes and the story for that one.
As I think back, that was one of my thoughts as I saw that unfold on the screen too.
Oddly enough Tyrese’s Eclipse faded away faster than his music career
lol
Tyrese had a music career?
Eject-o seat-o cuzz....!
Daaaamn. Lol.
Don't hate
When I bought my Evo, the dealer gave me a DVD of the movie that featured the Evo. This car is still my daily driver. It's a classic and has become highly sought-after.
in Europe the EVO is a legend
Damn nice
I heard the evo came with a gps that was spiderwebbed into all the engine components.
It did. But nowadays you don't need that. You have Google, LMAO!
Even Jin wouldnt touch it.
It wasn't LoJack
Don't trust what Jimmy says, he's a "low budget Mechanic and he overcharge" 😂
I'm not going to lie, this Evo 7 was the car that got me into loving Evos.
I would never install neon, change the stock wing or use such a flamboyant paint job on mine, but this still holds a place in my heart!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VLOGS!! Please do DOMS MAZDA RX~7 FD
Yes!!!
Hero 1 is Keith imoto's car, others? Maybe
Pauly b blaze Yes he did.
I never realized the graphics on the evo were images of the car lol.
Oh, shit! You're right!
super interesting to see the behind the scenes footage.
Thanks captain obvious.
Craig has all the best footage, it is so awesome to finally be drip fed it.
My Favorite Car, I love Lancer Evolution as a kid and now I own a Lancer Evolution X GSR.
nice man i’m trying to get one too
Same!
Did you try for the EvoIX.. It looks cooler
@@IntellectualHazard I mean thats personal preference, let him get what he wants. Id be delighted to have an evo 10, but i cant even afford a to buy, tax and insure a basic lancer
I got an evo 7 because of initial d. When they fought a yellow evo 7. And fast and furious making it it more famous.
I colored mine midnight purple 3 with complete voltex kits track version on te37v mk2 tires. Doing 350whp
I think this Evo is really underrated. Everyone is talking about the Skyline but give this Evo some respect too, that car is one of the best.
Ik right
facts i loved the evo when it was introduced
Yeah strange right. The Skyline only appeared for a few minutes in the movie. This Evo is the main car and had lots of screen time.
Craig, Thats a big difference in narration & editing. Big props your videos are getting alot better!
8:06 - 8:17 I KNEW IT!!! All these years since first watching this movie, it always nagged at me that the evo in this movie never sounded like an actual 4G63-T. No matter how many meets I went to, no mater how many exhaust systems I listened to live or on old youtube (circa 2006-2011), it just never added up. But one day I overheard an S2000 flying past, and somehow I was reminded of this moment. I looked up in-car sounds (again on youtube), and there it was. That elusive sound that had aggravated me for so long finally had a name to go with it.
I've been right about a few things before; but this.... this puts a smile on my face.
Well u have some good ears then dude.
His birthday is tomorrow and I'm glad you uploaded this today! Awesome tribute.. I hope this gets to a mil views
Your 2002 m3 is for sale on eBay right this very moment (auction). You have very good taste in custom modification, would love to see you break down some of your build sometime!

Martin Paták thx bro
funny thing is the seller or a spoofer has bid it up 11 grand and the only other one is a 0% feedback person
Especially the foxbody he had.
Thank you for the series. I would also love to hear about your other vehicles that did not make it into Fast and Furious.
Thanks for sharing Craig! I still remember meeting you at HIN Chicago back in the day with my friend John. Pulling his Kaiser Silver Veilside MR2 Spyder into the Meguiers booth, and how the car ended up in parts of the 2nd film (HoC Blue). First film is still my favorite and parts of it reflect early days of the import scene. Fun times for sure!
Thanks for the video, i can really appreciate these cars and the work that is put into them, your input and videos.
Thanks again.
These kinda videos from you are so informative, keep'em up!!!
Very glad you made this video, as a die hard mitsu fan I always had questions about the 2f2f Evo, which were pretty much all answered in the vid, thank you!
I was amazed at how the frontend of the car heldup after crashing through the gate at the boatyard...
I noticed that to in the film years ago lol
Your decision on getting an Evo rather than an SRT made me choose my future car when I was a kid.
Now I have an EVO IX MR for the last 4 years and I really don't know how to thank you.
Great taste, great approache and great knowledge on cars !
Thanks a lot.
It's got the self-repairing front bumper package!
Hey Buddy, One of Tylers friend from Oklahoma. Found your channel and love it!! Keep it up!!!
Craig you deserve so many more followers!! Your stories and knowledge are amazing!
Thanks for adding the additional information about the SRT4! I know it wasn't the prettiest car or had the pedigree of a high performance car, but I think it's more than proved its worth by all the races and awards it's won!
Well done sir, thanks for the additional information. I knew Mitsubishi had helped but nice of them to go the extra mile. Great story telling BTW, the way you read it was spot on...here today, done tomorrow. I remember all the SoCal DSM members getting amped up about the EVO’s release. Ironically ended up working at a Mitsubishi dealership not long after it did come to the states, as many probably remember, you couldn’t test drive it...it was buy it or leave it. Only a few select employees were allowed to move or transport them, but I drove everything else on the lot. 😉
Thanks for sharing your videos have inspired i think I'm gonna go back to school learn body and keep watching your videos
Darn, I read articles that the EVO's were stock versions of the Lancers rally editions and RWD conversions.
The costs and fabrications for that would be unreal
Thank you for making these Craig, ive been a life long fan
I was fortunate to see Hero 2 at the Philly Auto Show a couple times. When I first saw it I was concerned about it's legitimacy as a "screen-used" car but this put my doubts to rest. Awesome!
Keep making videos
So happy that I found this channel
My mind was just blown that the side graphics are of the car itself 😱🤯🤯🤯
Please don’t ever stop making these. It’s so damn fascinating and interesting
Now im happy. So many answered questions. These vids are awesome!!!
Nice! I love your videos..!
I have seen the one that was sold to Norway. It was displayed at "oslo motorshow" a few years ago.
Awesome brother love the stories behind the cars.. cant wait to see more :) :D
I love listening to these stories. I like this guy too with how knowledgable and honest he is.
Happy birthday PW! ♥
Thanks Craig for these videos!
Underrated channel. Criminally underrated
Thank you so much for this video! The Evo 7 is one of my favourite cars from the F&F series and I think one of the very few that isn't destroyed. My theory on what happened to it in the film is after the whole ordeal is over, both the Evo and Eclipse were returned to the police.
I remember in the mid 2000s when i started driving, every ricer type car and even some mustangs had the clear styled taillights added. Watching these videos brings back memories of my youth even though i never watched(to this day) any of the fast and furious movies.
Love the vids keep it up pimp!!
Whenever you upload it makes my day, thanks craig
Thanks for clearing up the situation with the taillights. Not knowing if actual Evo's were used really had me confused since I saw the movie.
Always great to see your iconic vehicles again, as have the model two fast too furious and lit with blue leds with the same model size evo, both painted in the film liveries
I can watch these behind scenes videos for days so cool to see what goes on behind the scenes well done to you all you are all a part to my motorsport fetish
I love all of the videos Craig, it's a very interesting behind the scenes look that we don't usually get for many movies.
One criticism I would like to make is that the fade-to-white transitions are painful to the eyes and make the video very hard to watch. I'm not a video editor or creatively inclined so unfortunately I can't give you any alternative suggestions, but even a simple swipe left/right would work without blinding the viewers
Eddie Ge I’ll pick another transition. Thanks for the suggestion.
You’ve inspired me from day one with the franchise
Great video. You did a great job picking out cars. Thank goodness you pushed for them to use that skyline instead of a Srt4. You know how not good that would have been if Brian pulled up in a Srt4....... maaaan that skyline made an unforgettable appearance.
Man I had watched this movie years ago and at that time I went crazy when Brian went 180 by driving evo in reverse. Thanks for revealing the truth. I still love this car and enjoy all car scenes of the movie.
Love these vids
Hey craig! Love the vids! How the heck do you remember all these details? Crazy good memory?
Honestly one of my favorite cars of the series, topped only by Leon's R33. Dunno what it is about the car, it's just so cool looking especially with the blue lights against the green/gold candy paint. Plus the Evo 7 itself is such a crisp design, the bodykit only enhanced the look and honestly it made me use the Evo in many racing games as a kid lol. And of course, I had no idea Lancer tailights were used on an Evo, that's some clever attention to detail you did to pull off that look so well
Hahah used suby sounds for the evo n editing luv it
Hero 2 sits in the showroom of LRA Auto Museum in Bristol, PA
Wow I used to see it all the time on route 13 in Bristol I thought it was just a suit up lancer OZ
Hi Craig,
Just wanted to tell you how much ive enjoyed your youtube channel! I appreciate you taking the time to share all of this super interesting detail and your experiences!
5:35 They didn’t have NOS, they had a hyperdrive
You DON'T need NOS, wen you're going 88 mph... Wait!! wrong movie!! lol
Man love these videos!! Im a Big fast and furious fan, and love the cars from the first movies! These videos helps me so much making replicas in my forza horizon 4 game 😎
Nicely done
You are a genius, you sold them every car you had to be used at movie :D btw great cars :)
Great video again!
Would like to hear about s2000 from first movie.
Love this channel
Thanks for the video Craig! I always wonderd why is the neon light bar in the front of the car crooked?
PATO It came loose.
if you are not already planning on it, you should do a segment on the Saleen Mustang, Corvette vert and painted yellow Viper. Love the detail and content.
Amazing video ! The french owner of the Evo is "Movie Cars Central", he owns lots of cinema cars 👍
The new intro is awesome I like it!
Craig please if you can, cover some of the muscle cars featured in the franchise. Personally I'd like to hear about the Monte Carlo from Tokyo drift, and the Chevelle from F&F 2009
Loving it!
Very nice, please do the 3 muscle cars from fast 1 and 2
I remember the hero 2 car at a car show event here in Maryland at MIR (nopi I believe). Had the lower front bumper damage from the pole at the boat yard. Also during the barrel race, the gtr pedals are shown in one of the clips when paul is shifting
Great videos - reminds me of when the fast and furious movies were actually worth watching.
Thanks fo the explanation on those tail lights. Have wondered about that since 2003!
Always thought it was a us spec lancer ralliart model and not a Jdm evo 7
Imo they should've just kept the stock lights.
Yeah, I’m glad he put that one to rest. The evo forums can rest easy now. It really is a big deal with a lot evo guys. There’s threads that go for eons debating the 2f2f evo 7.
@@killer2931 agree, why do body work to fit lancer tail lights just because some company wants them on there, i would have told them no to save money and to not confuse evo enthusiasts
These are great
To say this video was great is an understatement.
Your work was awesome especially SUPRA customization, you need to build more of these cars for the new fast and furious!
Universal is not focusing on tuner cars anymore for F&F after Tokyo Drift performed poorly on the box office. So would not happen.
@@traviswalker8933 1 did great
2 did poor
Tokyo drift did poor in its early stages and only really became popular years later
@@AL-mm9mc 2 was met by negative reviews as people hated the blingy cars.
When I first saw this movie, I was 13 years old and since then I fell in love with the Evo. I remember people used to say the Eclipse was better because it came out years earlier and were more familiar with, NOT KNOWING IT HAD THE SAME ENGINE. This was middle school years, we didn't know much about cars, of course. But I was disappointed this 3rd Gen Eclipse didn't keep the 4G engine. I can understand they featured it because it was a new car at the time.
Big Thank You, Craig! I have been arguing and arguing about the Mitsubishi being EVO VII, not a Lancer. So cool, You revealed the truth about rear quarter panels!
Yes indeed. But somehow ppl must know the ralliart version of the Lancer. It is no longer an EVO nor has the wing, widebody and no turbo. Call it an affordable poormans evo but some how the 06 Lancer had me as if it was an EVO. It had 15inche OZ wheels, Pirelli tires, different front bumper and ralliart badge. I wish one day to own one as my first car but now 3rd.
LMAO TYC!!! That's a throwback!! And don't forget APC, The originators of the Altezza style knockoff tail light. Those things were on every single car it seemed back then and I always hated them. Pep Boys shelves used to be covered with them bitd.
Thank you!!!
That scene with the Rasta guy crossing the road is golden....
#mibumbuhclaat...
Hell yeah , new video
Thank you for such nice vlog documentaries on one of my most favorite movies in the tuner scenes. I never owned an EVO or drove one but I'm a proud owner of a 3000GT VR4 AWD Twin Turbo and now a 2019 Eclipse Cross daily driver. One day however I might own an EVO X.
You lost your man card when you said eclipse cross
@@10xyourlife65 Buzz off to Central City Barry, you will never afford the EC with bad guys after you all the time because it ain't fast enough ;) I think you can afford running around with your legs only, Eclipse Cross isn't for you, let folks like me enjoy it.
@@Hunikengt but I got all the money from Harrison I'm right I can buy whatever I want and I have a Talon tsi 3000gt vr4 mk2 supra Mazda rx7 and a Porsche boxster gts I'm a car collecter I have money
I bought that book you shown in a previous video ‘the cars of the fast and furious’ great little buy as I have recently been collecting the cars from fast and furious 1 and 2, so far I have spent £1047 on 14 cars lol so the book being £5 was a bargin! Ha
"Yeeeaah, Rome! How do you like dem Apples?!"
the gate scen at 7:44 is a real goof. in that shot you will see the bumper get smashed but later when they stop in the impound for carters f355 the front is all new again, not a scratch.
Hey Craig. Hopefully you see this message. I actuallu went to Universal Studios in Orlando as a kid and they had the purple eclipse and also the Evo. I have a pic next to them if you care to see it
7:38 lol he looked at the seat😄
And not to mention invisible handbrake.
Thanks Craig
Do more of these man
Craig if you don't mind I had a few question. First is what's up with slant neon light on the Evo grille, is it mounting problem or deliberate? Also I remember watching 2F2F bonus DVD and during the behind the scene with cars. They were showing Lancer OZ Rally Edition. Does that car is one of the 4 Lancer you mention?
Such a good question bang ifan👍
0:10 Um Chevette brabo, já valeu o vídeo 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🌴Wow & Wow ya know you are hitting a home run with me in staying on top of stuff makes a big difference that provides super awesome opportunities that I always look for all the time.
"Remarkable work & an extraordinary effort".
I do stay focused very focused & I wonder if had the opportunity what ideas you may have in comparison to what I know already with a ongoing continued effort.I hope you are truly benefiting from your efforts in Fast & Furious the cars are... Epic you da man.I am a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T fan now it's an suv what a difference. Also I would like to add the GMC Typon was an awesome ride & was actually in Lethal Weapon 3 when Rodge, Danny Glover's character was selling his house ya know it's nice seeing unique cars in movies & I hope they get more screen time in movies to come.🌯
I'd still pick up an Mitsubishi MR that car has not faded with me their just as fast as a Lamborghini straight from the factory & without a doubt faster & better in traffic.🌭
We appreciate you Craig
That gate crashing seen always hurt my heart lol I knew I saw that bumper get crushed
Love the evo platform, having owned two evo 9s i can say i really enjoyed them!
After the 1st movie, I didn't really like any of the others. Your videos however, are awesome and so addictive. THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge
8:13 i knew it !! sounds like VTEC mix with wrx sti lolz
8:13 is this why romans eclipse in 2F2F sounds a lot like a Subaru?
