Thanks for the information. I bought two yoyos because I, too had a snail infestation. It’s been less than a week and they devoured the snails. So far they get along with the other fish; two corys, one oto, five mollies, and one gourami in a twenty gallon tank with amazon swords and a few ornaments that provide hiding places.
I have 3 in my mixed African tank... The mbunas leave them alone, but they don't leave the mbunas alone lol. They follow them around and look like they're cleaning the other fish's scales... They're fun to watch!
Congratulations on Video #71 !! The quality of the cone down shots of the yoyo loaches is tremendous. I simply love yourAmazing Fish Series. Fantastic !!
I got mine yesterday and they have already clearly out half my bladder snails. The downside is they not only hide immediately into some driftwood as soon as I come near, they are teaching my albino corys to do the same. My white clouds, cherry barbs and dwarf frogs still love me so I'm calling it a win.
Same issue. I had snails after I replaced all the fake plants with real plants. So I bought 2 yoyo loaches. The snails are gone and no my yoyo loaches are big and look pregnant LOL. I added 2 baby yoyo loaches. Now I got 4 yoyo loaches, 2 African Dwarf frogs, and 5 ghost shrimp.
It's funny, but when I got my dwarf frogs they scared my white clouds and cherry barbs down to the plants and driftwood, but getting the loaches moved them back to the mid-level.
My yo-yo loaches are my favorite! They become a little less active as they get bigger but they are still entertaining! They sleep a lot and in the weirdest places. They also grey out sometimes and you’ll see their black stripes disappear
I thought mine was really faded naturaly. Just got one today and he's adorable. He's going after my molly fry bot not fast enough. Cool little fish. Have yet to name him though!
This tank is banana's, omg. I have a YoYo as well, who is all over the place and always seem to be making friends all over the tank. I also seen your Betta as well. Love seeing Bettas in with other fish. New subscriber.
Thank you for the share! I've have only 1 in my 110_gallon south American cichlids aquarium with 5 Buenos Aires tetra, 6 black ruby barb, 1 Jack Dempsey, 1 firemouth, 1 convict, 2 red jewel cichlids, 1 redtail shark for months now. I didn't realize they were shoaling fish. It is extremely active!!! It does love to eat anything, sleep in odd places, and taunt the cichlids. I guess I should get it some companions of its own kind. I hope it won't bother my mystery snail?
Great episode man! I tell you, just yesterday I went to my local fish store and got me a green spotted puffer to do the same thing for my freshwater tank, get rid of all of the pesky snails! I knew any of the loach species would be able to do the job and would be easier to keep, but I wanted the challenge of keeping one of these beautiful species, since I've never had one before. Anyways, loving those yoyo loaches!
Thank you...a green spot puffer sounds awesome! Originally I bought my pea puffers for the job, they started off well then built a appetite for blood worms only...but if I get the chance the green spot would be a awesome puffer to add to my collection
Did you ever transition him to brackish water? That's what I did to mine, it wasn't as hard as people make it out to be, just use real marine salt, and measure it, and what they ultimately need to live long and prosper.
DUDE!!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR 55 gallon set up man, beautiful tank. And I'm in love with the Molly you have. I have a 10 gallon with 4 Molly's and dwarf fire gourami, 2 mystery snails, and some glass shrimp. I also have a 40 breeder that was infested with snails from plants I bought at my LPS. I have Malaysians and bladder snails, I picked up a yo yo loach. I fell right in love with him. I'm actually breeding these snails in my 10 gallon so he will always have them. It's already made a big difference in my snail population and it's been in my tank for 24 hours.
Thanks for the information on fin nibbling and aggression. I've lost four tetras since I introduced 3 yo-yo- loaches. So do you think if I introduced a couple more yo-yo loaches they would leave the others alone? .
DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS super cool. You are an amazing fish keeper, I got a Jaguar and a chocolate cichlid, your vids have been the best and most helpful on youtube by far!
hi! I know you have a lot of experience with heavily stocked tanks... I'm thinking about adding 5 or 6 of these to my 75g CA cichlid tank, it has 1 rainbow cichlid, 1 topaz cichlid, 3 acaras, 2 pictus cats, 2 BN plecos, 5 diamond tetras, 5 lemon tetras. I was thinking the yoyos might disperse aggression as they are so active... what do you think? too much? thanks, this video is fantastic!
Good video DWS but 1 thing I must point out to you & that is that Yoyo Loaches do have scales but very small 1's ;) I have 3 of them in my 245ltr tank.... keep up the gd work :)
Loved to know why my Yo Yo's are pestering each other I also have a 55 gallon tank and I also only have 3 so I will also be getting 3 more, Quarantining is my problem I do not have a place for that' What's your best response for my dilemma?
Yeah the more the better off they are with their hierarchy...lately I've been learning some hard lessons about not quarantining...but if you can't provided a separate tank you should stick to buying in stores where you can get a good look at the fish before you buy them, make sure they don't have any visible problems...then when you bring them home bring the tanks temp up to about 82-84°F and dose with Epsom salt twice that week...that's a safe way to treat the tank incase any parasites came
What to know of these: 1. They are aggressive tendencies in small tanks and/or small groups. They will kill (if you are lucky, only take the eyes!) smaller fish (

Loaches are definitely up there with my favourite fish. Great AF Episode!
Thank you, gotta love loaches
I am planning on getting yoyo's just for snail control as well! Glad to hear they work great for that job!
I am in LOVE with these guys. I wanna get more and put them in a species only tank.
They definitely are very awesome to keep!
I even feed my YoYo loaches clams on the half shell! They love it.
I have 3 in my mixed African tank... The mbunas leave them alone, but they don't leave the mbunas alone lol. They follow them around and look like they're cleaning the other fish's scales... They're fun to watch!
Wow that must look really cool...mine are the most energetic fish in my tank!
Congratulations on Video #71 !! The quality of the cone down shots of the yoyo loaches is tremendous. I simply love yourAmazing Fish Series. Fantastic !!
Thank You! These loaches were a bit hard to film considering how active they are!

Nice, if you treat them with bloodworms weekly they should associate you with food and get more comfortable when your around

Well sounds like I need to get some yoyo loaches. Lol. Very neat fish! Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Lol, thank you
One of my all time favorites :)
Thanks, yeah I love these!
Love yoyo loaches more definitely look better thanks for video 🤗
Thank you
My yo-yo loaches are my favorite! They become a little less active as they get bigger but they are still entertaining! They sleep a lot and in the weirdest places. They also grey out sometimes and you’ll see their black stripes disappear
That's cool...mine are young so that's probably why mine are so jittery!
I thought mine was really faded naturaly. Just got one today and he's adorable. He's going after my molly fry bot not fast enough. Cool little fish. Have yet to name him though!
Does yours ever play dead?

Yes they are much more amazing in groups...your mystery snail should be safe if its over 1 inch
I love my yoyos they are great to watch!
Yes they have so much energy
I really like Yoyos, they are a lot of fun. We used to have some of them.
Thank you...yes I love their energy level!

DUDE!!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR 55 gallon set up man, beautiful tank. And I'm in love with the Molly you have. Thanks, yes these loaches are no joke...mine cleared a this 55g and the 125g that they are currently in of Malaysian trumpet snails
Can you mix them , Get 3 of one kind & 3 of another kind ?
Yes they can mix, but they may not school
Thanks for the information on fin nibbling and aggression. I've lost four tetras since I introduced 3 yo-yo- loaches. So do you think if I introduced a couple more yo-yo loaches they would leave the others alone? .
They should, they are very social and the more you have the more they stay to themselves
Did they live at the same aquarium with shrimp
No they will eat shrimp
Cool
Thank you
Sweet! Btw how big is has the comet goldfish gotten in the asian tank?
Thank you! He slowed down with his growth...guess is tired of that hair algae the he used to graze on all day; he's now about 4 inches
DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS super cool. You are an amazing fish keeper, I got a Jaguar and a chocolate cichlid, your vids have been the best and most helpful on youtube by far!

Hello, I think it can work. The pictus may show attitude towards them, but eventually they should learn to avoid them
@@dwsdarius thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
What type of fish is the black and white one?
Looks like dalmation molly
I love yo yo loaches and btw they only get 3-4 inches. At least mine are 3 inches and I’ve had them for a while.
Good video DWS but 1 thing I must point out to you & that is that Yoyo Loaches do have scales but very small 1's ;) I have 3 of them in my 245ltr tank.... keep up the gd work :)
Thank you, I always thought that that's why they were so prone to ick...but yes I just read that and its true, small scales not scale less
I have four in one of my 350 liter tanks, I will be getting more after this.
Yes they are awesome...and even better in big numbers
How many Kuhli Loaches do you have?
5 black kuhli's
Loved to know why my Yo Yo's are pestering each other I also have a 55 gallon tank and I also only have 3 so I will also be getting 3 more, Quarantining is my problem I do not have a place for that' What's your best response for my dilemma?

Is that a female betta or a male in your 55 gallon tank?
Yes it is
Yolo loaches 😂
Was that a pea puffer?
Yes
Does anyone know what are the orange fish with black tail?
Your talking about my red wag platy of harlequin rasbora
Mine school with my panda corys
They get a bit aggressive towards other bottom dwelling fishes when they mature. Mine always chases my kuhli loaches from their hiding spots
What to know of these:
1. They are aggressive tendencies in small tanks and/or small groups. They will kill (if you are lucky, only take the eyes!) smaller fish (
Great video. Thanks for sharing
