easy living for solo guitar

I finally got to replace by crackling / hissing "custom vibrolux" with a quilter 101 reverb. I'll fix & mod my fender one day, but for now the quilter will have to do!
This is me trying it out by recording the amp output. I do have it playing through a GK Neo Cab300W 12" speaker + tweeter, which is obviously a bass amp speaker.
I'd say, with a single coil pickup, it is a bit thin. I was happy when I put a Joyo American pedal in the front of it. However, in this case, I used a Epiphone Broadway with a humbucker which seems fine. In still think my fender Vibrolux is better, but for the terrible hiss and limited reverb - the Quilter is a pretty good option for now, and maybe I'll get use to it as time goes on.
