But even if it's recycled, it still seems like wasted materials that are in perfectly good shape, and I totally understand that they want to change their house as they want, but I find it a lot to be recycled : even if it's recycled, it is not reused as they are originally and it just seems like consumerism... but it's their house, their life, their needs, and I was just wondering if there was other alternatives.
@@lucileavecunseul_l yeah I get that! I just sometimes think we hold creators to too high a standard. I mean they have a baby, and full time jobs, and are renovating during their extra time. Even though they obviously have money, doesn't mean they have the mental capacity to figure out how to reuse stuff. Reusing would obviously be the more sustainable choice.
@@rannvak.jakobsen2478recycling reduces waste, but it doesn't eliminate it! It should be a last resort, not the go-to
Your friends helping you guys and seeing Tor Egil being so good with sunny is the embodiment of "it takes a village" and it makes me tear up. friendship like this is beautiful
Can we all appreciate how he’s putting up all these doors with a baby in his arms, what a champion
Would you not have wanted to use the closet system in the laundry room and just paint it white? It's the same right?
I can’t believe we live in a world where we just chuck things away that could go to a good home
People tend to be like that when they grow up in a wealthy country like Norway.
You could've put that perfectly good wardrobe up for sale or even for free instead of throwing it in a skip where it's likely to get damaged by the other stuff in there.
I was really hoping the comments were being a bit over-critical but it was actually shocking to see the perfectly good wardrobe be put in a trash bin. Even if it's actually recycling, I am so certain that giving it directly to someone would have been the least wasteful... HOWEVER! We do have to point out what they did right--recycle the floors! Of course, anyone should be allowed to do anything they want with their home and I totally understand wanting to get it all done ASAP and finding a new owner for the wardrobe might have taken longer. But I hope Julie and Camilla can rethink those kinds of choices in the future. 😇
When its all finished can you do a whole walk-through tour of the house? Would love to see it!
Isn't that the tile table they were redoing to make it perfect? That they...just threw away
I got really sad watching you throw out that magnificent wardrobe 😔 I thought you where going to use it somewhere else/give it away because it was perfect, it looked like new
I love these vlogs and your house is so beautiful, but why so much waste? You can easily sell furniture on marketplace or reuse them or even give away to people that do need it😢
Straight, apartment dwelling, woman with no plans for children and I am here with bells on for this reno series.
Oh the wardrobe from upstairs being just thrown out hurts! Why not using it in that hallway downstairs instead if buying new or even just selling second hand to someone who can use it😅
Your home is actually the most original and gorgeous one I have ever seen 💗
You are a dynamic duo ❤ seeing Camilla so happily renovating while you know Julie is literally putting all her time and effort behind the scenes taking undivided attention to their son. This is how every marriage and partnership should work. I’m sure they have their moments of frustration with each other like every healthy couple does but you can tell they both have this amazing understanding and appreciation for each other.
Those floors with the green walls make the hallway look so much bigger! It looks so good
Who else immediately looks for how long the video is and gets pumped when it's long!?
Me! 😂
Camilla! I know you value protecting your body from future damage! I am 37 and need dual reconstruction of my TFCC tendons on both wrists from open handed falls, as well as scaphoid lunate dislocation. I BEG YOU GIRL!!! AS A FELLOW BOB THE BUILDER FROM BIRTH!!!!! Get your self some vibration protection gloves with wrist support to protect your lovely hands!!!!!!! I use ERGODYNE anti vibration gloves with wrist support. It has been SO helpful and has prevented MORE damage
That wardrobe was so gorgeous I would die to be able to afford that and you just threw it in the bin 😭
It went to a recycling centre not a landfill
Recycling should be the Last option. Reuse it, even recycling needs Energy!@@peronfitz3953
@@peronfitz3953 Most likely it got incinerated, like most trash in the Nordic countries. Extremely wasteful, when it could have been given away and reused instead. Recycling in Norway isn't some perfect utopia where everything is reused in some smart way, most waste gets burned.
WAKE UP EVERYONE!!! The internets fav lesbians just posted!
I'm awake ⏰️ , I'm awake!!
I'm up.
feat Tor Egil*
IM AWAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Made it!😊😊
Hiiii! I would really like a Q&A type-off video with tips about renovating a house, and like, look-out for XYZ, like an overall idea of what realistically could be done by ourselves and what it’s like good to hire a professional to do it! Thank you so much, and have a lovely day! 😊
Me too 😊
Not kidding. I stay awake till 3 in the morning (IST) to watch your renovation vlogs. I am IN LOVE! 🥺🤍
Oof those Cabinets are so expensive. I agree they could have been sold or given away. Such a shame. Love you guys, but that hurt my heart.
Aaah I love the renovation vlogs. The one thing I look forward to on sunday's.
my favourite part of the week is these vlogs, idk how but you manage to make building shelves and painting walls incredibly entertaining
I'm just here to parrot what everyone else is saying about how you should be re-using your materials, but also to say happy birthday Cam!!! You seem so awesome and I hope that you had a fun time on your birthday.
They don't end up in the trash, it gets recycled. I think it's sad that these creators are going to get a ton of criticism, because a lot of people are assuming that Norway treats ''waste'' in the same way that their own country does. Consider placing a disclaimer at the beginning of your comment, so the misinformation won't spread?
@@rannvak.jakobsen2478 That's fair, thanks for highlighting that. hope you have an awesome day/night
@CrystalCauliflower your comment is correct, the person responding to you is not :)
@@rannvak.jakobsen2478as tons of other commenters have pointed out, only 24% of Norway's waste is recycled, 60% is still incinerated. Also reuse is more impactful than recycling anyways?
Tip for painting clean lines: Let's say your background is white and the "paint" is lilac. Put up the tape, then FIRST paint one coat of white on the parts you want lilac. After that's dry, THEN you can start with the lilac. You get superduper crisp lines.
holding the baby while putting up doors is soooooo adorable and iconic. sunny can say he helped with the reno
the orange room is so stunning, one day i‘ll have a flat that i can paint like that and it will be a glorious day.
These 30+ minutes vlogs are so enjoyable and calming to watch, you two radiates a gorgeous vibe and I just feel like we're hanging out with you, walking alongside your renovation path.
...Also Tor Egil putting up the doors with Sunny 99% in his arms was the cutest thing ever xD he's so involved!!!
I can't even describe with words how happy I get when I see that Camilla and Julie have posted a new renovation vlog
I swear every sunday a wake up and think "today is Camilla and Julie's video day" and I can not feel unhappy. Thank you for all the efforts in doing videos for us. Is very much appreciated :))
The fact that you're throwing away perfectly good stuff than could be donated is infuriating.
Like what?
It's being recycled.
ahhh i just so excited for you guys! I can already imagine baby sunny`s childhood running through all the colourful rooms and being raised with so much colour, laughter and so much love!
Sunny is so lucky to have them as parents ❤️❤️❤️
Happy birthday Camilla, i hope it was full of happiness and good memories!
The term for a wall that prevents your house from falling down is “load bearing”.
Also… yay! Another renovation vlog! These are my favorite!
Rainy Sunday, new video from Julie and Camilla ... yes please! Just let me snuggle into bed first to watch. 😍
I love watching your renovation blog. I find it fun and calming at the same time. It's my midday Sunday break while I work on my writing.
❤🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF THE MOST KIND AND BEAUTIFUL PERSON I HAVE EVER SEEN! YOUR WIFE IS LUCKY TO HAVE YOU CAMILLA!🎉❤
yes please keep the the yoga room the same colors it looks so great and it’s definitely perfect for lion king!
Your friends are so amazing and supportive.. Lovely to see ❤❤. Sunny is so in love with Tor Egil. Adorable.
Please consider donating furniture that is in good shape and could be used and loved by families in need. 🙏🏼❤ Or you could repurpose and re paint for garage storage and organization.. Please don't throw away.
Happy birthday 🎉hope you have a great day. Wish you many more years.
The toddler room looks really good, love the color and the theme will really fit and look good.
Enjoying the renovation vlogs 😊
Camilla and Julie aren’t just throwing out their unwanted furniture to somewhere like a landfill, it’s heading to a recycling centre where it will be reused by somebody else
@@peronfitz3953 No it won't be reused. At best it will become wood pulp and worst case scenario it gets incinerated. Both are so much worse than just donating the closet. Reuse comes before recycle for a reason.
Norway is doing much better than most of the world but even in Norway they're not going to rummage through a skip trying to find pieces of furniture that are now banged up and mixed in with other rubbish in the hopes of reconstructing a closet.
These videos give me motivation to renovate my space but I’m renting and can’t change anything😂
Samee i cant wait :D
I feel so inspired by your videos. Going through some fertility and pregnancy loss related issues they really help me to keep going
Camila i just love u the winking when u removed the door frame how positive u are ur smile is gorgeous. Ur personality is beautiful. Ty girls for these vlogs sun my fav day can't wait to watch! Ur both amazing
Came to the comment section just to see everyone had the same feedback…. All the waste and very usable things that could have been donated 😢 Living in Africa we’re surrounded by people that are always in need and maybe that’s why it’s so noticeable compared to you guys living in a developed 1st world country. But it was heartbreaking watching how much you threw away.
Also… whyyyy did you paint that trim in the toddler room 😭 it was so beautiful with the white that broke up all that colour and just allowed a bit of balance.
But LOVE you ladies and your beautiful energy and can’t wait to see more! (Hopefully with less waste going forward)
Happy Birthday Camilla! You are an inspiration in all that you show of yourself. You've helped me on my journey of just loving myself. You and Julies style during reno has also been so inspirational and helped me get started in adding more color to my home and feeling alive in it again! Thanks Lovelies and i hope you had a great birthday! 💙💙💙
"emotional mommy wheezing" 😂😂😂
Happy birthday Cam! I just wanted to say thank you to you guys for your uploads and also for adding subtitles to your vids. I'm not sure your reasoning for sure but for those of us hard of hearing or auditory processing issues it's so so appreciated, and hey subtitles can give hilarious context moments like the wheeze 🤣
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMILLA!!!! You guys and baby boy sunny deserve the best and I hope you all keep doing awesome and stay motivated on working on your cool af house!
So happy that you are doing weekly videos. I have two other channels I watch religiously every Sunday for several years. I have clicked on your videos before theirs since you've been doing weekly vlogs. Love seeing it all come together. Super excited for you.
Happy birthday Camilla! I hope you have/had a wonderful day with your wife and baby boy! All the birthday wishes, love, and joy, to you! ❤ god bless you!
You said to tell wou something nice so here it goes. I was on the brim of crying and having a panic attack when I started this video, and you had me laughing in minutes. You are such a sunshine girl, and have such kind energy- you both do, it really is infectious. Happy (belated) Birthday, Camilla!
Sending lots of love to you, Julie, Sunny, Tor Egil (he seems like a really great guy, and a great uncle!) and Tonje (also seems really sweet!).
I am so glad to watch you guys being so nice after having a bad day. Thank you for being so amazing❤
I love how you made the chaotic spaces fresh and clean with the family spaces colorful and fun! ❤❤
Tor Egil carrying around sunny while working away was sooo cute🥹
You two plus some have worked so hard on your renovations, you’re doing an amazing job! You two should be. Very proud of the home environment that you created. Much love and many blessings

I think you guys should a tour of house so we can see all the rooms you've finished just as a refreshers on what you guys have done
I was cleaning at night, heard a noise, and got scared. I started watching this and it made me feel safe. Thank yall for being amazing
Happy birthday camilla! We're so proud of yall and I loveeee watching these reno vlogs. ❤❤❤
We need to get sunny a bob the builder outfit and tor egil and tonje, so you can do a village reno photoshoot. 🙌🏼 With your whole team. 💕💕💕
I just love you guys so much. Don’t listen to any haters about anything. You three are absolutely perfect and don’t forgot it.
Yay was waiting for this one! Your renovation vlogs are always very calm and pretty thats why il excited the most! Chill moment!
And happy birthday to Camilla !!
Happy Birthday, Cam! Wish you (and Julie) to finish renovating quickly! ❤❤❤
I am loving this renovation series, its so relaxing! have been your fan for 4 years since julie's blue hair and wink era hahaha ❤❤
I love you guys, been watching since you bought the house and I can't imagine the man power (and brain power) it would take to do all this. AND now with a baby to add to the mix. You guys are truly amazing people
Happy birthday Cam! Love to you, Julie, and Sunny!
Idk if Sunny is old enough now but the little walker bouncers - does he like those? Might free up your hands so he can “stand” watch 😅 sorry if that advice is unsolicited! I had a friend send me one same day when I was having a busy day , and it saved my life to be able to put baby down in a way that he could watch me still. Even though I had two older toddlers I just hadn’t thought to get one for him!
I genuinely get so excited when y’all upload 😭 ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMILLA
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMILLA, i'm so proud of you from where you came from! I KNOW it's gonna turn out absolutly amazing! Ly guys!
I love these so much! Would absolutely LOVE to see just a bunch of “before and afters” to see how much progress you’ve made, even within the same day! So inspiring for an inspiring DIY-er/homeowner myself :)
That wardrobe you removed was STUNNING !
Happy birthday Camilla! I thank you for posting your reno and your family. Queer girls folks finally have a female Bob the builder to follow and a healthy family model
Happy Birthday Camilla! The 30’s and 40’s are great ages! At least they were for me. My 50’s have proven to be more of a challenge but I’ll get through them. So lovely to see the 3 of you so happy. It makes my heart glad!
Sunday is my favorite day of the week. And it’s because of you guys ❤❤❤ HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMILLA !!!🎉🎉
Love these vlogs!!! ❤
The finally house tour will be EPIC!!!!!
I just want to say thank you. Your videos bring me so much comfort
Y'all have created such a happy, bright, and light energy in your home! Thanks ladies...now that I know I need a sky ceiling in my life I cannot unseen one in my future 😂😂
i love renovating vlogs !! You guys made my day ..😘🥰
I could be wrong but not all trash cans are for trash some are for recycling. Where I’m from green trash bins are for recycling. Doesn’t mean they’re just throwing it away
It's still waste. Recycling is literally the worst of the three Rs.
