Was contemplating between U shape and the single handed use model. Currently use a copper U shaped one and thinking of copper single handed design. The U shaped one starts to weaken at the bend when I compress and put inside

@@VanillaEarth744 Rinsing with hit water before and after every use shoukd keep it clean but to completely sterilize id put it into boiling water

It really depends on your preference and which is more comfortable for you to use. I prefer to use the 1 that you hold with both hands, since I have better control using 2 hands.
